Holy crap, the art of Bearer of Overwhelming Truths seems straight out of Dark Souls, I absolutely love it. The card is nice for Limited I guess. Jace's Scrutiny isn't exciting, a bit expensive for a combat trick, but at least you get a Clue token.
You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.

Those are Eldrazi Lamps...or rather, something from Kamigawa? Bygone Bishop's hovering thingies look suspiciously similar to the trinkets some kami had hovering around them.

looks closer to Bloorborn to me, although Bloodborn is in general closer to innistrad in setting vs the medieval Dark Soul's theme. Bearer can be really good.
... what the flamingo, the stuff on the walls from Thraben Investigator can come alive? O_O
And once you're tainted by it, you can control the living... erm, whatever they are?

The Sleuth/Bearer is investigating the same things as Thraben Inspector. Hopefully there is a Clue token with art featuring these objects, to shed a little more light onto their purpose.

Ya it dose, I need many foils of this and Drown in Sorrow for my souls deck.
That spiderweb/root stuff seems to be taking him over after he flips. Notice how it's spread up his arm and is attaching to his face. 8(
That makes alot of sense with the flipped cards name. He has to bear with the fact of what he dared to investigate. Maybe the big bad is something like Rom, the Vacuous Spider from Bloodborne.
I have to say I'm starting to be underwhelmed by investigate: it's now being used as a much worse form of cantrip. Jace's scrutiny would simply have 'draw a card' in other sets. Sure, it costs only 2, but it's a weak card otherwise, so the card drawing is the only reason to play it in limited, and you need to pay an extra two to get that card. (It won't see play in any other format...)

This doesn't sound right to me; straight-up cantrips for Limited are consistently either costed much higher or less impactful than this, right? I don't think they'd print 1U, target creature gets -4/-0, draw a card, especially not in a present-day set. That card would either be smaller, like Fleeting Distraction, or cost 4ish mana.
And there is additional synergy with using Clue tokens, like Daring Sleuth. And having the flexibility to pay the extra cantrip mana in installments is a big benefit too. Rather than wait until you have all the mana at once you can play the spell now, get a Clue, and draw your card when it's most convenient for you.

They seem to be animated lanterns. Artist's representation of clue tokens maybe?

Animated lanterns... so... animated machines! Phyrexia!
No, I don't think so. But they don't look as eldrazi scions / spawns either.

Art's gorgeous, in any case, even if I'm not entirely sold on the card itself. Glad that Investigate seems to be solidly in Blue, though.
