The most direct comparison to this card is Pentad Prism, which plays identically except:
-Pentad Prism costs 2 mana of different colors, whereas this costs 1R.
-Pentad Prism lets you use the 2 extra mana separately, whereas this makes you use it all at once.
-Pentad Prism gives you 2 mana of any color and can be activated with no open mana, whereas this requires 2 open mana, one of which must be R, always generates RR, and fixes whatever you used to pay the generic cost to another R.
These are all downsides outside of mono-Red, so I doubt this will see any play in formats that can just play Pentad Prism instead. But those downsides are small, since Pentad Prism almost always wants to jump you from 3 to 5 or 4 to 6, and as long as you aren't trying to cast a spell with strict non-Red color requirements, this is essentially the same card as long as you have red mana, which you probably want in a Standard combo deck. I have no idea if there will actually be a combo in Standard that this wants to enable, but it's definitely a powerful enabler.
Think this might be fun in a good ol fashioned ramp deck, with the new dork chumping and deathtouching letting us ramp in a fun jund build to Chandra and other large creatures.
Don't overrate this card guys. It's rate. And it won't get banned. If you cast this on t2, you already "wasted" that turn. There's an initial mana investment which is significant. Being an enchantment is also a slight drawback. But it's definitely harder to disrupt than Goblin Electromancer.
I actually really love this card, especially since it helps with delirium, A+ good job guys keep up these amazing cards and I won't have to sigh every time I think about buying a set... seriously though the last few sets have been a big miss for me and this whole set is like one big candy store full of things I want.
In what universe? If you build a deck like that, and ever draw that hand, I will personally come to wherever you live, perform complicated acts of awestruck ********, then disembowel myself to escape the world that allowed something like this to occur and validate you.

If you cast Pyromancer's Ascension on Turn 2, you wasted that turn too.

You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.
Sweet. Does this mean a new Seal cycle? I hope so.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Not a chance. Rite of Flame and Seething Song were banned because they allowed certain combo decks to consistently win on turn 3 or earlier, which is a lot harder to do with a card like this.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.

Reanimate sucks cause it needs cards like Entomb to work.
If you cast Pyromancer's Ascension on Turn 2, you wasted that turn too.

No. See pentad prism for details.
Suddenly enchantment destruction looks quite appealing.
Older Magic as a Board Game: Panglacial Wurm , Mill
They now have 8 2 drops that will consistently get them to t3 hedron archive. If anything, they can go chandra/worldbreaker t4. Very good ramp card.
