Not sure if this is modern playable, but I would test one copy out in certain decks.
Another example: You're playing blue/black or blue/white control in standard. You discard this card with Jace, Vryn's Prodigy. You get to hold up removal mana and if nothing happens at your opponent's eot you get to ramp!
So you discard a land from a spell, and get it back tapped for 3 mana. Junk rare here... move along nothing to see.... If I crack this thing in a pack I'm going to be PISSED, and blow my nose on it.

You seem to not understand how strong ramp is at instant speed? This is going to be a 4x in any control deck. especially if we get a thirst for knowledge style draw and discard card.... This card could be a multi format staple and may end up as one of the most expensive rares in the set if it finds a home in standard because i'm sure it will find a home in modern/legacy. Anti Wasteland tech anyone?
Seems strong, a land that recurs itself. I am sure there will be some crazy combo and shenanigans with it though, like somehow using it and Crack the Earth or some other jank.
It doesn't do much past that though, another great card to open in sealed as a rare
So THAT'S where Emrakul was hiding! Interesting, I thought the cryptoliths would point to the moon instead, acting kinda like the Lunatic Pandora in Final Fantasy VIII. The whole moon business reminds me of that game. So it could be that the cryptoliths are meant to channel energy from the moon to that spot to awaken whatever is hidden down there. My money's still definitely on Emrakul, those tendrils we have seen look very Emrakul-like, and it makes total sense that only a fraction of Emrakul's energy seeping into the plane would cause some people to go insane (Eldrazi Conscription anyone?), and the cryptoliths could be conduits for that energy instead, draining energy from the slumbering Lavos...I mean, Emrakul, and spreading it through the plane.
The actual card seems like a handy thing to use with discard outlets, and as a slow but nice middle finger to land destruction card. Take that Mwonvuli Acid-Moss! Oh, right, you dun banned in Duels anyway.

This is clearly a unique card. Dakmor Salvage could have used some company. Now the question is...What the heck are those cryptoliths pointing to? Also does this flavor text imply that all cryptoliths are Innistrad are pointing to this exact location? Because there have been cryptoliths in various directions in other arts forming their own circles. The reveal on this should be shocking I hope. Not like

Instead could you send it to me? While it may or may not see standard play, it is a cool land in my opinion. Returning it to the field at the end of an opponent's turn if you have nothing else to do with available mana is nothing to scoff at.

RIP Batman guy. I hope somebody picks up the slack now that you are gone. Sick children need their Batman.
I know Modern Mystical Teachings isn't a tier one deck presently but I've been grinding with it to good results as I grind with Teachings in pretty much every format where I can. Clearly this was meant to go along with Nephalia Drownyward, which is one of the deck's best win conditions. I prefer to play Nephalia Drownyards, 1x Pearl Lake Ancient, and 1x Empty the Pits instead of Teferi and Titans because it's fewer deck slots and more powerful. This is pretty sweet, mill yourself with Drownyard. They don't play a relevant threat, mana accell at instant speed. In the late game, use your drownyards to mill your opponent. You'd have to run more lands or perhaps dimir signets to filter all of your colored mana. It's also not format breaking but value is value.
That's...really? I saw the card name and was really hoping for something more akin to Nephalia Drownyard. This is just, it taps for 1 colorless mana, woohoo. Oh, and you can pay 3 to get it back into play (tapped) from the yard. Yeah, nothing to write home about.
I don't think we know what's card #270 yet, so a dual-land cycle might not be completely off the table even with this reveal.
This card is clearly a control-combo card. I wouldn't be quick to call it terrible, but I wouldn't say it's groundbreaking either. Has synergy with Awaken, I suppose.
Multiple applications in many formats!
So we won't get any rare dual lands?
Can also discard to Magmatic insight

Very interesting card.
So this is the fourth time we see this circle. If this has nothing to do with the moon and/or the Stromkirk sea god, I will eat my shoes.
Let this great clan rest in peace (2001-2011)

Pretty boring but certainly useful
The bummer is this seems to indicate no dual rare land cycle

Look to the bloodlust deepest scar
Look to the scattering Brythonic uprising
For this be the wall of Johnny Guitar
Definitely has some potential with cards like Dust Bowl in EDH.
Still think it's either a Moon Magnet, or a Kraken Magnet.
Considering Structural Distortion is Common, I kind of doubt that.

Turn 2 Jace...
Turn 3 Loot with Jace and RAMP with this...
Turn 4 you are up one card and could have 5 lands in play... It´s HUGE!!
Wrath effects.. 5 mana Walkers... with consistency on turn 4, without mana dorks... or ramp spells it's what's control players want!!
