They didn't care that he was the savior of Fort Keff, the great hunter of Ondu, the champion of Kabira. To them, he was just another piece of flesh, a thing with life to be drained away.
what's up with the feet on olivia's bloodsworn? they look like weird paddles. Or am I seeing that wrong?
His legs aren't spread but close together. The right leg you thought you saw has his second leg right behind it (with one foot directly behind the other) the left is actually a part of his cloak.
Eh? I just realized now that they've changed a bit the wording for Madness.... silly me for not reading through, but overall just a rules tweak....
Only a change in the reminder text. Madness always worked this way.
I'm being a bit semantical here, but the reminder text (as worded now on SoI previews) kind of contradicts Madness in the current Comprehensive Rules. It's a very small difference, but any cards that care about "Whenever a card is exiled from..." type triggers will potentially notice it. The question becomes whether discarding straight into exile counts as exiling a card from your hand, or if it's strictly discarding (and only discarding) except the destination is different (into exile vs. your usual graveyard stop)
"Battlelands" already don't make sense because unless the other 5 are printed in "Ravnica the Third: Battle for Jace's Head" or something, "battle" means impressively nothing.
It irks me more than it should that it's Olivia's Bloodsworn rather than Voldaren Bloodsworn. Not really sure why that irks me but it does.
Anyway, it's also, presumably, part of the "multicolor" cycle for the set. Vampire Interloper if you're not in Red, powerful aggro enabler if you are. I'll certainly make that swap in my casual Vampire deck without complaint.
There also seems to be a bit of a +1/+1 counter theme with Vampires again: it's a distinctly different take than the old Innistrad vamps that fed on the blood of your opponent, but the counters themselves remain. Wonder if that overlaps with one of the other archetypes at all?

The recent change was pretty small. It used to be "you may exile" and "you may cast" but now it is "you must exile" and "you may cast". So that interaction hasn't really changed (except that now you always exile a discarded Madness card). Discarding a card to exile is both discarding it (per the CR) and exiling it (by definition).

Slightly smaller but evasive Forerunner of Slaughter is cute.
How aggro are they making B/R Vampires?
I was really hoping the vampire depicted in this art was Edgar Markov, since we all guessed that female was Olivia Voldaren.
Merciless Resolve is a flavor home run. Sorin doesn't care about the land. He just wants to kill Nahiri. I preordered my box already.
The twins are creepy, but not sure how good 2M madness cast is.

So and so okay cards, anyway.

No, it was updated recently.

Spirit tribal is going to be pretty flashy.
You'll really flip out over werewolf tribal.
