Margaret Thatcher: “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”
Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
I like her, but she does seem a bit underwhelming. I feel that if they wanted to push her they should have made her cost 2GW or 1GWW since she doesn't protect herself and as a 4/5 flier she will undoubtedly be the first thing your opponent will aim their removal at reguardless of her ability.
However, now that I come to think of it she could blank quite a lot of the removal in this format, since most edict effects need to target a player.
I wonder if the fact that she has given her hexproof to others at the detriment of her own safety is foreshadowing her eventual demise or simply showing off her heroic/selfless attributes in the face of all the evil/madness going on.
I'd happily trade the newly gained activated ability for the more prominent static ability we knew and loved. Forget the "Humans" portion; it should just be she and I.
Whoa! This is a Limited bomb for sure, and if GW is strong in Standard we'll see her around. She's got a nice body outside the range of most burn, and can make 2/2 hexproofed tokens with just 2 mana, not bad at all for 5 mana. The fact that she "protects" you from getting Delirium online is quite a nice flavor touch. Looks like she may take over Avacyn's duties after Sorin kills the latter.
Well she still protects you from targeted Edict effects. Although global sacs like Living Death will still get you and your crew. If you don't care about humans, you can always run Spirit of the Hearth for just about the same effect. She does protect you from discard/burn so that is nice. More of a sidegrade I guess. Wouldn't want to run her as my commander tho.

To the people that say that a card needs to be a higher rarity because of Limited... I hate you guys so much. I present to you with this.
The meta of this card is exploding my brain right now! Let's say, theoretically, there's another planet, either in another part of the universe or another dimension, created the game of Magic and they are at the exact point in the state of the game we are:
Gramph!, the Alien: I don't get it. Why does she protect humans and me, but not other Blerghs! (Gramph's race)?
The flavour is real, although I wish she was still a 5/5.
Such a terrible design for what used to be such a powerful creature. I see what WoTC is doing... every new incarnation of an old angel legend has to be weaker. First Avacyn, then Linvala, now Sigarda, poor angels.

Would you like to read Commander stories? Check my latest stories, coming from Lorwyn and Innistrad: Ghoulcaller Gisa and Doran, The Siege Tower! If you like my writing, ask me to write something for your commander as well!
FYI: Swiftfoot Boots exists to give creatures hexproof. Slap a pair on her like you would any other legend without hexproof and haste.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Sacrificed to the great casual format.
Certainly screams bulk mythic. Barely better than Dromoka, the Eternal just because she can generate tokens.
I've won plenty of FNM games, even against Tier 1 decks, purely because I had Dromoka, the Eternal smashing face. I'm gonna grab as many Sigarda, Heron's Grace as I can.
The original recipient of this type of nerf, Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius, says otherwise.
Kalitas just got lucky.
Reprint Stasis!
Control needs more love.

Non-Human creatures still can be targeted before combat.

But I will always play the original for her protection against Annihilator.
Perhaps a draft bomb.

Your cat plays Sigarda, Heron's Grace.
Does cat get hexproof?
Cat is not human.
Read my other stories as well (some ongoing):
Reaper King (a horror story), Kaalia of the Vast (an origin story), Sequels for Innistrad (Alternative sequels for Inn), Grey Areas (Odric's fanfic), Royal Succession (goblins),The Tracker's Message (eldrazi on Innistrad) and Ugin and his Eye (the end of OGW).
Cat get's hexproof and so do you. Other cats can suck it.
Flying, hexproof
You have hexproof.
2, Target creature gets hexproof until the end of turn.
I guess this pretty much means Sigarda is defending the humans because she had hexproof. But she loses her hexproof now? that doesn't make sense.
Competitive: GW Hatebears - UG Infect - BGW Liege Rhino
Casual: GR Titan Ramp - BR Aggro
WIP: BUW Control Mill
Also make that ability to make Sigarda to lose Hexproof while she gives another human hexproof to fit with the theme
