What's the deal with the whole tapped artifact and creature deal but you can exile an enchantment without the tapped clause? Am I missing some sort of flavor? For Boros EDH i'm not sure how much of an upgrade this is compared to Daretti, Scrap Savant.
I don't recall many enchantments that tap, so that's probably why.
I don't actually think the card looks very useful. The first ability is okay but doesn't impact the board for 4 mana. Second ability is good but still more conditional than I would care for. I think if you play this card you hope to pay 4 mana for an assassinate with rebound, but if the opponent gets rid of Nahiri before you activate her a second time she doesn't seem worthwhile. However my biggest problem with the card is not playability but that the abilities dont work together mechanically whatsoever.
But the last ability is another clue that she's summoning something big... Like emrakul or marit lage

Tapped creature is Vengeance (quite flavorful here).
Tapped artifact... probably the same reason.
Tapped enchantment...well, probably because save a couple of things from Future Sight and enchantment-somethings from Theros, enchantments do not tap. So instead of limiting her to Theros stuff, she can snipe anything.

Also, please, everyone- keep undervaluing this card.

Wizards have intentionally avoided tapping enchantments, and aside from one or two oddballs there are no enchantments that tap themselves, thus a "target tapped enchantment" would be entirely useless unless you built around some kind of 'tap target permanent' cards.
The fact that you don't even get to keep the creature or artifact that you tutor up is just...really Wizards? I don't think it would be too much to not unsummon it.
But seriously, she isn't that great but oozes flavor. Her plus is homage to Madness, her minus is homage to her wrecking a building and creatures (Markov Manor was defenseless when she went to wreck it) and I wonder if that ultimate is related to that huge blue face we keep seeing.

Yeah, calling it, Nahiri is going to be the overrated walker of the set. People were wanting her in it so bad so of course they're going to love whatever they first post of her.

I of course knew, I was replying to Tanion, who wondered why there is not a tapped clause on enchantments.
She is wonderfully weird. The first ability is red, and it fuels delirium. The second is clearly white. The last one is white/red with the jump back to hand clause. She emanates delightfully half-mad, vengeance-derailed flavor.

Most enchantments don't tap, so that they can feel different from Artifacts (which are mostly supposed to tap to activate).
Kind of cool that it doesn't let you blow up clue tokens. She is apparently not interested in covering up what she is up to lol

The true mind can weather all the lies and illusions without being lost. The true heart can tough the poison of hatred without being harmed. Since beginning-less time, darkness thrives in the void but always yields to purifying light.
I invision a future where one is not mighty when he can silence a crowd with brutality,
but when he leaves them speechless with wisdom.

Flip Nissa IS "Oh so good" it just so happens that Flip Jace is the 6th WHOOPSIE they've made in the last 5 years. (JtmS, Delver, Snapcaster, Dig, Cruise, Flip jace)

Yea, because Wizards thinks Nahiri is gonna deny us some clue tokens. #BecozWizardsSaysItsTooGood
Same. He's had more than enough time in the spotlight, and unless they were to do something spectacular with him (say, make him UW or UB) then I'm not interested.
It's a good middle point. Wizards must have noticed that fans liked Jace as a character, but were tired of him always being the Blue planeswalker card of the set. We were exhausted with his cards, not him.
Most importantly, mah gurl Tamiyo is a shoe in now!
Aside from enchantment creatures, there are 3 enchantments out of future sight that tap; Second WindWitch's MistFlowstone Embrace.
Because enchantments are more often static permanents, Nahiri, the Harbinger doesn't need to single out exhausted enchantments.
I'm not sure how I feel about the flavor of white looting. I would feel a lot better if white got a worthwhile madness card. Since that is most likely not going to happen, at least red is a madness color. All 3 of her abilities scream red; it's almost like the white part of her is her name, and maybe the enchantment/tapped creature part of her -2.
This thread is for competitive decks only. Your deck is not Grixis Control, as you said yourself. A serious decklist with shroud and counterspells belongs here, not a for fun/casual decklist with bad discard. Sorry, but your princess is in another castle.
That's some interesting new design space for WR- I really dig it!
I could easily see her shoving Ajani Vengeant out of Modern Control decks.

it's basically the worst loot effect ever or a somewhat flexible removal spell that might just put Emrakul into play eventually.
weird walker, certainly it's not obviously powerful but might be playable in the right environment
