Sinister Concoction feels like someone didn't like how simple and elegant Seal of Doom read.
Can't get a good read on its resource efficiency. A card in the grave can be a good thing, pitching a card is usually interpreted as 2-for-1, you pay 2 mana in total for the effect but it doesn't have to be a lump sum, the -1 life can probably be written off as marginal... but hey, no conditions on what it targets. Black's learning better ways to kill than terrorizing things until they die.
It seems as if Anguished Unmaking refers to Sorin destroying Avacyn. Also, it's a seriously awesome card. Exile any target non-land permanent for the cost of 1BW and 3 life? This set is shaping up to be awesome so far, I'm definitely purchasing a couple boxes.

I'm gonna say that I don't think Sinister Concoction looks bad. First off. The flavor is sweet. All those things needed for the activation are definitely the ingredients for your deadly brew. The card is pretty much:
None of those seem like big costs to me. In fact, this is cool because you can either use it as the sorcery above or you can drop it and leave one mana up to threaten your opponent. Essentially letting you make it am instant that your opponent is going to be wary of. Or you can just drop it to split the cost between two turns. I think this card is really cool and I might even play it in my Madness deck. Double black to destroy anything that's given me probelms with the versatility to threaten sounds like a good deal. None of the little tacked on costs even matter to me, heck the mill might even help with Delirium and I know that discard is going to activate my Madness triggers.

i really like the blue mythic, it's creepy, and can be a one card finisher, like old control used to do.
(self recuring finisher, doesnt die to removal, kills in less than 4 hits) the only bad thing is transform at sorcery speed...and thats huge
the white one, not some much , we already had that card, except now it can add a angel, and it's mythic
Not viable at all. The only creatures viable are Jace's Phantasm and Hedron Crab. This card very highly costed and requires 2 turns to return it to hand before recasting it.
I love sinister concoction, and the recurring nightmare. Very cool way to use transform.
I guess descend upon the sinful is good. Kinda disappointing to me, I dunno why. Good art, exiling is awesome, sometimes it leaves a beater which is awesome. I guess I wanted it to be a black sweeper, or at least fit into Tariel. As it stands it is less exciting to me than phyrexian rebirth. Plus, its a mythic that feels like a rare to me. meh
The true mind can weather all the lies and illusions without being lost. The true heart can tough the poison of hatred without being harmed. Since beginning-less time, darkness thrives in the void but always yields to purifying light.
I invision a future where one is not mighty when he can silence a crowd with brutality,
but when he leaves them speechless with wisdom.
Startled Awake is a horrible card. In terms of burn... 1 damage is 3 cards, so this card for 4 mana is dealing 4.1 damage.... then for another 5 mana you get to chance to maybe do it again.... when you pay another 4 mana?
So for 13 mana you get to deal in essence 8.2 damage? Which most likely will take 3+ turns to do...
heck the mill might even help with Delirium and I know that discard is going to activate my Madness triggers.
Unless you've got some bad luck or you're popping it turn two, you're most likely going to have delirium after you use it. You already have an enchantment guaranteed to be in the yard (from sacrificing it), and you mill before you discard, so if you absolutely need delirium online, you can pitch a card of the right type to complete the set.

Welcome to mediocrity.
Which is why you use it in tandem with other cards that care about mill. Lazav is going to love having a solid, repeatable mill effect, especially one that already has evasion and can pick up a Sword of Fire and Ice or Body and Mind or such and get some extra work done if need be.
Sinister concoction is a single card Delirium enabler tacked onto cheap removal. It is a solid limited card.
I dare say it's almost constructed playable on its own. I would be very tempted to play a Pseudo-Instant Speed, Pseudo-Uncounterable Murder at BB with the discard clause (Because the rest is pretty much trinket-text cost) on its own in many cases. Considering Madness is returning and Delirium, that actually pushes it well into the realm of constructed playable methinks, at least for standard concerns. If there's a deck that can function with the Discard clause well enough, it's even cheap enough to consider in Modern methinks (Though that's a bit more corner-casey). It does have relevant Goyf synergy, after-all.
The downside on this one is much easier to work with and around than Bone Splinters, and can be tooled into straight upside with fairly minimal effort (And even without an upside, it's still quite efficient).
As for standard, it's also an almost instant speed uncounterable way to deal with Dragonlord Ojutai. While this hasn't been a concern for various reasons in standard for some time, it's still something to consider.
Gonna say, I will absolutely be testing this card for standard in the early weeks. It might not pan out, but it certainly is strong enough to consider.

Who is gonna jump through all of those hoops for Sunister Concoction?!
The only hoop is discarding a card really, in which this card is Murder that enables Madness.
And I'll be honest, I am almost willing to cast Murder for 2 mana if it involves discarding a card as a cost to begin with (And really, often times you will only need 1 mana available in many situations). It's not quite there, but it's very close on its own.
That gameday promo Incorrigible Youths is sweet, can't wait to grab a set of those. Startled Awake gets my jhonny juices flowing. It likely isn't good, but it's one of those things that goes straight onto the bucket list. Sinister Concotion reads a lot like- BB pay 1 life, discard a card destroy target creature. The discard normally would be harsh, but this card is like the dude's rug in a format with delerium and madness. This might secretly be one of the best enablers in the format. Descend Upon the Sinful is Final Judgement with upside, could be quite the tool in control's arsenal, especially if there is anything like the amount of recursion that there was last time we were on this plane. Nephalia Moondrakes is also interesting. The 5/5 flyer for 7 not so much, but the temporary [/c]Wonder[/c] effect could get some fringe usage in the right circumstance.
Also anyone see Maro say booster packs will have 1.5 transforming cards (meaning every booster pack will have one and some boosters will have two transform cards in them), which means it is possible to pull four mythics in a pack

I dunno, Madness and Delirium enabler stapled onto removal seems okay.
Limited Players. It's not that high of a cost in limited, and it has a nice thing called threat of activation.
More importantly, strictly better Final Judgement
