Thing in the ice is quite obviously a reference to the movie "The Thing" so actually it's perfect
You are talking about the movie where "the thing" is clearly not a kraken horror?
Because if that is the case, my critique was not due to the name, I was just imagining that the thing would flip into a sasquatch/yeti character. You know, the ice reference and all...

Interesting, I wonder if this might mean Void Attendant might see sideboard play as anti-madness tech. As it, Cryptic Cruiser and Oracle of Dust are the only processors that can realistically interact with madness at instant speed (Ulamog's Nullifier technically can as well, but my brain has to do backflips to figure out a situation where it could be used, since it needs to target a spell on the stack for it to process anything).

Well actually the Thing in that movie is a horror. An eldric abomination from space that takes what ever form it needs. And considering the thing they dug out of the ice in the first place was a mangled abomination that could barely be identified and carried in a block of ice to a base where it thawed out and killed everyone... yeah this thing fits that perfectly with this card.
though to be fair the card you mention is also a fit. this also fits the story of the movie as well.
In what universe? If you build a deck like that, and ever draw that hand, I will personally come to wherever you live, perform complicated acts of awestruck ********, then disembowel myself to escape the world that allowed something like this to occur and validate you.
RoFM requires the Delirium condition be met first, but good catch. It's definitely an intentional throwback.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.

Read my other stories as well (some ongoing):
Reaper King (a horror story), Kaalia of the Vast (an origin story), Sequels for Innistrad (Alternative sequels for Inn), Grey Areas (Odric's fanfic), Royal Succession (goblins),The Tracker's Message (eldrazi on Innistrad) and Ugin and his Eye (the end of OGW).

I believe MaRo has stated that Gravestorm, much like regular Storm, is not a mechanic that will "return."
There always was. Madness is vulnerable to instant-speed processing while the trigger is on the stack.
The ONLY difference is that before, you could choose to decline to use the madness effect by just discarding to grave - now you can't.

Thing in the ice actually reminded me of Tritoch from Final Fantasy 6.
I just realized that Reaper of Flight Moonsilver is a color-shifted Fallen Angel

Huh, I just assumed most people were like: "Huh, a worse version of Fallen angel... next"
Feel free to tell me yours!
