The kraken that Thing in the Ice turns into looks like if a Theros kraken go infused with some C'thulu.
That vampire is incredibly awesome, only based on flavor. Who hasn't had a vampire turn to mist in D&D and it was impossible to kill after?
Magnifying Glass is pretty insane for a mana rock. It practically says "6 Tap : Draw a card" or you can fill up on clues, for some reason, and use it for mana to crack the clues. I imagine control decks might like it, if they can use it.
The normal art for Mindwrack Demon is much better to the DD one.
The art on Soul Swallower is pretty cool, and it is a decent limited creature, maybe good in Standard, but I highly doubt that.
Warped Landscape is a great take on Evolving Wilds, has a use in case you may not have anymore basic lands left. Looks like Nahiri is using the cryptoliths, or created them or both, for something.
Did we have a decent mono-white sac outlet before? Finks + Anafenza + Reaper of Flight Moonsilver would be fun to pull off. Reaper plus white tokens also seems fun.
Between Thraben Inspector and Magnifying Glass, the clues seem to be pointing toward Nahiri luring Emrakul. It's getting harder to deny it.
Also, the creepy lattice-y growths on Thraben Inspector also make me think that Emrakul is coming. And I was one of those people who thought that there's no way that Emrakul was going to be in this block.
Thing in the Ice is a great card, but... why is it blue, again? Blue seems to be the color for "Super undercosted fatties that have easy-to-satisfy conditions," including Delver of Secrets, Ensoul Artifact, and now, Thing in the Ice. I mean, for pete's sake, at least make it cost UG! C'mon, I love Blue as much as the next guy, but this is really getting stupid.
Then again, I guess making mono-blue overpowered is one way to reduce Legacy's reliance on dual lands.
Anyway, I think Thraben Inspector is a bigger deal. In Modern, Shape Anew combo now has a reliable 1-drop that fuels the combo. That's really huge; previously, all the artifact-pooping creatures worth a darn were 3 mana. I suspect we start to see Shape decks picking up some steam with all the artifact-creation in Origins + New Phyrexia and now Shadows.
Weird, I thought these weren't supposed to start for another week.
In any case, this is really, really awesome! Flavor everywhere, cards that transform back with ease, possible multi-format playables?!
That Warped Landscape shows Nahiri in the middle calling out to... something, sword raised. The "stuff" (for lack of a better word) that the Thraben Inspector is looking at really reminds of Emrakul....
The flavor text from the land says that she's channeling all the plane's mana, and we know what kind of beingslovemana.

RIP Magic Duels. Wizards will regret what they did to you.
The transform-only-once rules change makes sense. I dislike the CMC change though. There's no indication of CMC anywhere on the back face, that's bound to cause confusion among less enfranchised players.

How is that confusing? Just turn it over. If there's a matter of CMC involved "less enfranchised players" probably aren't involved anyway

It does indeed look Theros-y. Though I think the ships look more British/German than the ancient Greek flavor ships Theros krakens are seen attacking.

This has always been the case.
RIP Batman guy. I hope somebody picks up the slack now that you are gone. Sick children need their Batman.
(These pre-orders are killing me, I haven't been this excited in a set in ages)
Misty vamp flavourful (and probably a great finisher)
Thing in the ice is fantastic and tickles my timmy!
It's also great to see fallen angel back in the game
It has not. If bracers were equipped and you paid B, you'd get two transform triggers and it'd flip and then flip back.

Currently it just transforms back into Bloodline Keeper when the original ability resolves: "Activating Bloodline Keeper's last ability multiple times will cause it to transform into Lord of Lineage, then back again, and so on."

Likewise with the misty vampire (which took a second to wrap my head around, but it's awesome)!

No, no it doesn't. I wish this idiotic theory would die already.
It's a very obvious reference to Who Goes There/The Thing From Another World/John Carpenter's The Thing.
Brush up on your horror.
Magnifying Glass tapping for mana makes zero sense flavor-wise.
