Don't know if it has been mentioned, but the art on Warped Landscape appears to be showing a corrupted Nahiri and some pink tendrils. The land taps for <> and the flavor text suggests that some corruption is going on...clues that Emrakul is involved somehow?
As far as the land someone was theorizing she was siphoning the mana from the plane in order to attract Emrakul. Of course it could just be part of the whole moon thing.
You don't suppose she's trying to make the moon crash into Innistrad, do you? That would probably mean some kid in green has to find four Giants and play a song on his ocarina to summon them forth to stop said moon from crashing. Keep your eyes out for demonic masks. And mapmaking weirdos with a Faerie fetish.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
I already feel bad for the people who are going to get burned by preordering Thing in the Ice for more than bulk rate.
Just the Wind on the other hand has the potential to be ridicilously good if we get a good looter in standard, oh wait...
You are not playing any modern, are you?...Thing in the Ice will probably not shine in standard but, in modern it will be a beast. I suppose you are talking only about standard...cuz just the wind, compared to Vapor Snag is really weak.

"Note that the mandatory discard into exile is a small change from previous rules. Before, you could discard a card with madness into your graveyard and skip the whole madness thing. This may be relevant with cards like Jace, Vryn's Prodigy. That dude shows up a lot in this article for a card not in this set."

Yes, I was primarily talking about standard (especially in Just the Wind's case) but even considering modern, how exactly is Thing in the Ice is better than, say, Young Pyromancer?
Let's see:
Turn 1: Bolt
Turn 2: Young Pyromancer
Turn 3: cantrip into cantrip into cantrip into 3 tokens and maybe, just maybe, attack for 2.
At the end of turn 3 you scored a grand total of 5 damage.
Turn 1: Bolt
Turn 2: Thing in the Ice into Gitaxian probe
Turn 3: cantrip into cantrip into cantrip into...nuke the field...into 7 in the face.
At the end of turn 3 you scored a grand total of 10 damage.
As another user said earlier, if you get really lucky your turn 3 could look like: bolt into bolt into bolt into 19 damage.
I mean no ofense, man, but the card is like a blue tarmogoyf on steroids. Time will tell if I'm right or not and if it's price tag will be around 2$ or 20$.
Best regards!

Hopefully Thing In the Ice does well in Modern. That format could use some solid control finishers (and cards in general).
Turn 1: Bolt
Turn 2: Thing in the Ice into Gitaxian probe
Turn 3: cantrip into cantrip into cantrip into...nuke the field...into 7 in the face.
At the end of turn 3 you scored a grand total of 10 damage.
It's got a lot of potential but it's also a little vulnerable to some important cards (like abrupt decay, which you can't counter as well) on both sides. It's strong, but not totally indestructible. From what I understand a lot of GBx decks aren't doing that great because of Eldrazi (and Abrupt Decay feels pretty weak there to me too, since it cant answer a Smasher or TKS) but I don't think that will be a permanent issue; if decks utilizing this go well it makes Abrupt Decay "stronger".
I really like it though. I might even call it a little pushed.

There is a huge problem with your scenario. Young Pyromancer's triggers effects the boardstate regardless of whether it's still on the field so it's less weak to removal (which is funny because it being weak to removal is one of the reasons I prefer decks like blue moon over izzet delver). This means that if you cast 3 spells and then it dies it probably had a chance to attack and at the very least leaves you with 3 tokens. This card on the other hand is inconsistent and will have no effect on the game while encouraging you to dump your hand leading to a blowout when they remove you creature. Further more it's a terrible top deck late in the game and only really viable in the early game when you have a reasonable chance of flipping it because you still have spells to cast. Finally your scenario has the player playing 3-4 cantrips (and a turn 1 bolt?) which is not realistic in a competetive deck. If you clog up your deck with that many cantrips you will have little to no interaction and while you are trying to flip your 0/4 they are "cheating" in Griselbrand and then killing you with Borborygmos Enraged triggers on turn 3 etc. etc. Modern has plenty of very strong combos that are much faster than this card or young pyromancer and when you play other decks you want to do it with the intention of sacrificing speed for more interaction. I can assure you that time will show that young pyromancer is better suited for this role.
Pre-order prices never cease to amaze me. To think that bin rares and mythics like this and Geralf's Masterpiece are seeing preorder prices of $10 and $14 is just baffling. At least Relentless Dead looks busted on paper, despite it costing double black and being heavily reliant on other zombie cards to be great, so I can sort of understand the $20 price tag.

If it's going to bite a removal, it'll happen before you have the chance to transform thing in the ice or generate tokens from young pyromancer. Also, it's effect does affect the board state by cleaning the field. Yes, late game is a bad top deck...so is Young Pyromancer...so is Thoughtseize...(I suppose you won't suggest dropping Thoughtseize from my Jund, for this reason). If I recall, UR Delver was a "competitive deck"...in fact, it was a tier 1-0.5 competitive deck which run 4 Lightning Bolt, 4 Serum Visions, 4 Gitaxian Probe.
I respect your opinion but I don't agree with you at this moment. I really don't care about SCG's price tag...I like the card, be it a 2 or 20$ card :-??
Let's agree to disagree and talk again in 3 months time :D.
