Also if Avacyn has gone crazy, I wonder if anyone can stop her. She was created with Pre-Mending Planeswalker powers. Radiant, Archangel was created by Serra Planeswalker and was strong enough to rip Urza's eyes right out of his head. She would have killed him if she didn't try to unite the Powerstones. If Avacyn is as strong as Radiant, she has enough power to go head-to-head with a Pre-Mending Planeswalker.
Almost killing Urza was not such a great feat back in the day, any of your average mechanical killer bird swarms could do it. Also Avacyn powerlevel is dependent on amount of evil on the plane, so Nahiri killing vampires en mass should actually drop her power. Though is she is gone crazy and now assumes all humans to be evil it possibly can boost her greatly, but the amount of evil is probably determined by the enchantment grid, not the Avacyn herself, so it might not be the case too.
This reminds me of Magistrate's Scepter, replacing Time Walk with Demonic Tutor. While not as broken, it's still abusable, and it gives you a benefit even if you try to use it 'fairly' (unlike Magistrate's Scepter).
Commander players want.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
You want something really funny ? Check the flavor text : in english, it's "entry 434", but in french, it's "entrée 712". And this is not a mistake, nearlly each translation of Tamiyo's Journal got its own number of entry (who says the same thing, about Avacyn's madness)
English : 434
German : 434 (only case where the numbers are the same)
French : 712
Italian : 433
Chinese (both simple & traditionnal) : 441
Portuguese : 644
Japanese : 443
Russian : 535
Spanish : 935
Korean : 435
When you WoTC just twitted this message : Notice something interesting about Tamiyo’s Journal? Maybe you'll need to collect more clues at the #MTGSOI Prerelease events... I think the ARG isn't finish yet.
Could be one of those page/paragraph/sentence/word/letter code. where did you see other language cards?
I think people are just seeing what they want to see with the incorrigible youths art. I do see one hand with possible extra fingers, and one kid with an extra eye, but tenticles thing just isn't there. People are really stretching to try to prove emrakul is there. By the way, inbreeding can cause those things too, except the tenticles, which aren't there anyway so....
Go to the story forum. There's a blown up hi rez version of the art. There are definitely some tentacles to be seen.

I think we'd know if Innistradi vampires were so inbred as to be massively deformed. It's only been a few years since we last saw Innistrad.
Plot twist. The real madness of Innistrad is that the Vampire Clans are actually inbred Hatfields vs. McCoys. Sorin's grandfather Edgar greets his exiled grandson at the Manor. Edgar has a straw hat, chews a piece of grass, wears overalls, and plays a banjo.

So, where is it? I'm having a lot of problems finding it.
We've had this song and dance before. In the majority of commander formats, this card is perfectly fine in white, red, or other combos that don't really get good repeatable draw and search.
In a super cutthroat meta, yeah this won't see any play. But the same can be said of 99% of cards in every set.
This is not that at all. There are cards that say "This is the thing I want to do." And this card is so overcosted and slow that it's just not worth it unless you are aiming for some very specific thematic angle.
In a 4 player game, what RW or W deck wants to spend 13 turns to tutor for a single card? It takes 4 turns (including the one you play it) just to get the first clue. And the problem with RW and W is the lack of action because they lack card draw. Telling Boros that they can tutor for a car in 3 untaps for 5 mana is just not going to fly even in the most casual groups. Basically, the card doesn't do what it promises to do well enough for it to be the choice that wins out - if it cost 2 mana to start up then I would definitely advocate for this being an interesting potentially playable casual card in colors lacking draw/tutor. But for 5 you'd be better off playing a bunch of other cards.
Not as playable as Venser's Journal but I love it from a lore point of view. One day maybe we'll have FtV: Books! MTG's most famous(and infamous) tomes in foil!
Are you sure that's tentacles, and not umm shirts. Like long sleeve, shirts or petticoats, like the rest of the flavor of the innistrad plane? I can keep staring at this all night, but sleeves on a jacket aren't going to magically turn into tentacles; well not without the aid of mushrooms that are magical

The tentacles are coming out of the face. Lower left corner, upper center.

You obviously don't run it by itself. There will be at least a couple white cards that generate clues as well. Red artifact decks can get use out a artifact generator that occasionally draws cards.
Not saying it's an amazing card, but it could have a place in certain lists. It's not a trash card, just a difficult to use one.

Level 1 Judge
"I hope to have such a death... lying in triumph atop the broken bodies of those who slew me..."
You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.

I have a feeling the average of these is important somehow.
Hundreds placement average: 5.1
Tens Placement Average: 3.1
Ones Placement Average: 3.6
Total Average: 544.6
I don't know what to make of this yet, so I'll keep this here.
I see a 433, two 434, a 441, 443, 445... I'm guessing something about putting them in numerical order, but I don't have the other languages.

What if they're collector numbers? Specific cards from specific sets, or, given the higher numbers, the 433rd card printed?
Other thought: Maybe by putting all the languages in numerical order, the first letters will spell something?
Alphabetical order doesn't mean much. (Of course, this might be complicated by having the English spellings of all those languages...
So...
English
Deutsche (?)
Francais
Italia (?)
Dunno WHAT to put for Chinese
Dunno Portuguese
Nihongo
Pyccia
Espanol
Dunno Korean, unfortunately.
Putting them in numerical order doesn't seem very useful, either.
Also, I was thinking that they were 3-letter sequences using the numbers as letter order inside the word, but some of them go off the end of the word.
Does anyone have a pic of the other languages? Maybe it's fourth language, 3rd word, 3rd letter, or something? Still, though they all translate roughly the same, I think it would be good to have a side-by-side view.
In edh this card is super bad for the tutor, play bad clue cards to make this better? Sure, my opponents can go ahead. That being said, I actually really like the fact that it makes a clue artifact every turn that you can sac to draw. I think that's where the appeal of this card is...not the bad tutor.
