I get that, but if you're on the play, they turn 1 that, you pop that out and get rid of them for good. Also, pyroclasm has limited usefulness mid-game against Eldrazi when they start jamming 4/4s and 5/5s. This can fill a slot for path to grab potentially 2 or more creatures in a go for 1w of any toughness.
Well, its definitely more powerful than Pyroclasm, but I'm skeptical whether it is actually good enough. I mean simply the requirement of having to go first and having this in your hand by then makes it almost as bad as Pyroclasm when dealing with the early drops and it's late game advantage is relevant for a couple more turns before the Eldrazi trample all over. I suppose having two (as in 1 to wipe the Mimics and one to clear the other threat) is ideal. It may be one of the better options, but I'm doubtful it's still effective enough, generally speaking.
Nahiri is sooo pissed off! Love everythING about this card. Interesting they made it nontoken. Given that white can make a lot of tokens, it would have been so bootleg draw.
Also interestingly enough this says "controller". So that means I can nuke your creatures Siege Rhinos and I get to keep mine. Neat spin of the "echoing" cards. echoing truth

To the people that say that a card needs to be a higher rarity because of Limited... I hate you guys so much. I present to you with this.
Sorcery speed hinders it a bit, but it's rather cheap, easily splashable, unconditional and exiling, which makes sure that it will see quite a bit of standard play.
If it was an instant i would be playing it over path in a heartbeat.
For now it is the best removal spell since abrupt decay.

Give credit, where credit is due. Give irony and sarcasm, when ignorance and stupidity is found. The whip is kept for special occasions
The Internet was a revelation to me, I never imagined there are so many idiots on this planet.
I somehow find it tragic when an attacking Traveling Philosopher gets blocked by another Traveling Philosopher, which normally results in two dead philosophers. Shouldn't they just sit aside and start discussing?
"This is really exciting, so much to find out about, so much to look forward to, I'm quite dizzy with anticipation . . . Or is it the wind? There really is a lot of that now, isn't there? And wow! Hey! What's this thing suddenly coming toward me very fast? Very, very fast. So big and flat and round, it needs a big wide-sounding name like . . . ow . . . ound . . . round . . . ground! That's it! That's a good name- ground! I wonder if it will be friends with me? Hello Ground!"
Curiously enough, the only thing that went through the mind of the Sprouting Phytohydra as it fell was Oh no, not again.
The dramatic nature of this makes me feel that WOTC is planning something big for Nahiri. I feel it's likely that her actual Planeswalker card will be in Eldrich Moon instead of SOI, as putting her Planeswalker card in the second set and cards like this in SOI helps build the feeling of suspense and mystery about her villainous role in this block.
I'm also beginning to wonder if the plot of Eldrich Moon is simply going to be Nahiri trying to bring the Moon crashing down on to Innistrad in one big cataclysmic event.
So...maybe this is going out on a limb, but I think this is maybe what Modern needs to help combat the Eldrazi menace? I mean since its white its usefulness is limited some, but any deck playing white can use this to clear the dreaded turn 1 eye, mimic, mimic (+a third mimic?)?
Two responses.
1) I doubt it.
2) I doubt it, because they gave us the wrong card to begin with.
This card frankly should read "Choose a creature type." THAT makes it very playable (probably ALL formats) without being broken. It just becomes a very potent new anti-tribal option. This version is pretty terrible, tbh. Yes, Markov family (oooh, how clever) has the same 'name', I guess, but apart from Timmy and his horde of one million squirrel TOKENS, what the hell is this even gonna do most times? Stupid 1:1 removal. Virtually useless against something like Eldrazi--every card they play gives them some form of card advantage.
Edit: Yes, Eldrazi make tokens. OK, you got me. Riiiight. Cuz that will make Eldrazi decks just completely roll over?
This card kinda sucks. If they made it tribal-based, we might be talking here. Meh. Big fat MEH.
People who think that this is anything short of a future staple in Standard need to get their head straight. At worst it deals with anything short of hexproof and makes your opponents pay to draw, and in a color where catch-all removal is in very short supply. At best it's a mainboardable hoser to the token decks that are very likely to be a thing.

When I hit my 3000 post mark, I'm gone for good.
Stay reasonable, be mindful of your expectations and don't feed the trolls.
It exiles.
It echoes.
It doesn't have a targeting restriction.
It's 2cmc.
It doesn't give the controller their compensation directly, they have to pony up the mana for their clues.
If this fails to see play anywhere, it has to be because something saw print that makes this look like garbage, and garbage this card ain't.
She went into hibernation and everything we fine on Zendikar. When she woke up not only were there vampires on the plane when there initially wasn't, but they were screwing up the hedron network and worshiping the titans. Her natural assumption was Sorin brought vampirism to Zendikar and screwed everything up. "As Zendikar has bled, so will innistrad. As I have wept, so will Sorin." The plane literally bled as the vampires fed. He also obviously wasn't keeping watch of Zendikar if all of this was going on.
As far as she knows Sorin (and Ugin) abandoned Zendikar after promising to help keep the Eldrazi sealed no matter the cost. That was the only reason she allowed Zendikar to be used.
Probably because Nahiri wanted the Eldrazi destroyed on Zendikar, but Sorin agreed with Ugin to trap them instead. Nahiri agreed to build the hedron network, but I guess she harbored resentment over the decision. One mystery is where Nahiri was in all the time since then. Later, Sorin met up with Ugin, and Ugin asked where she was. Sorin replied that he has an idea where she was, and that she would not be glad to see him. The other mystery is if Sorin said or did something to make Nahiri angry.
Ah I see what wizards is doing. Since bfz was like a 4/10. They're making up for it by this set having a bunch of ridiculous cards. I love this set so far keep the craziness coming!

Not bad, I wish it was an instant so it could be used defensive on your own creatures.

It only investigates nontokens. If you nuke tokens they got nothing.
Anyaway, I like the new decoration of the Markov Manor, it's like Sorin is thinking "how it will affect my Tea Time"
