Yeah, this thing is very efficient. One of the best bears I've seen printed a good while and it does have a very similar feel to Voice of Resurgence (although Voice is better -- but also two colors). I would expect to see this in standard at least and possibly elsewhere too. Being a mythic and being good enough for standard (most likely), this may fetch a decent price.
This a good card that should be a rare,I don't see what's mythic about it,it's just a 2/2 zombie.Mythics are supposed to be legendary creatures, planeswalkers, world warping spells and ancient creatures that don't show up that often in the world.A common zombie? Really?
I don't think you understand how the rarity system works.

No that's exactly how the rarity system works,or that's what they claimed when they first introduced mythics. Then as time passed they bent it where any playable card can be mythic regardless of its lack of mythicness feel.
Even if that were the case, you could never print this card at rare. It replaces itself for a single B. It also reanimates any zombie, at a generic cost to boot. It can both block and beat. I would never buy another pack of cards if the mythics were as you say they should be, which is unplayable in constructed environments.
I think constructed can handle this at rare, but I guess we would have to wait for the whole set to be revealed, but in the flavor department it's just not a mythic,it's a normal zombie with menace,it's abilities are fitting for a legendary. As for me saying mythics should be as I say they were? Take a look at planeswalkers all are mythic and some are amazing, entreat the Angels feels mythic, emrakul feels mythic.Maybe if the creature was a famous necromancer's zombie then it would be more acceptitable.
This is powerful, no doubt. Efficiently-costed in both its body and abilities. Even if you miss payment on the first Zombie for its self-recursion, a second can cycle with it back easily for its essentially its casting cost and for 1 more mana, literally advantageous.
It's just a deathtouch ability away from being a true killing machine. (As it is now, in a vacuum, it's still rather grindy, relying on a game of attrition).
I think this card can be big in Standard, but it feels subpar for Modern to me. It actually doesn't have that much synergy with the 3-mana zombies and Kalitas because you want to leave B open, effectively stopping you from tapping out on T3-T4. The deck really needs an impactful 2-mana turn 3 play to be relevant, because this card's body is not good by Modern standards.
Envision yourself casting one of these against Affinity. What cards do you want in your hand?

These days, some wizards are finding they have a little too much deck left at the end of their $$$.

I agree with this. As I said before if more 2 cc competitive zombie cards are printed maybe one day zombie deck can be tier 2 deck in modern like merfolk deck. Withered wretch is the other 2 cc zombie that can be used in sideboard. Don't really know any other 2 cc zombie card that is good. Hope for more good 2cc zombie cards later.

I see this in a modern deck that has free sac outlets, Vicera Seer, with Gravecrawler and Geralf's Messenger. That is a ton of pressure early game. It needs support no doubt, but I can see some MB shenanigans. I think that it being a BB cost helps it more than anything, with 2 devotion right out of the gate for Nyxthos, shrine to nyx. I'm not a Brewer by any stretch of the imagination, but there has to be something there.
Situation:
They print TWO mythic zombies
I have a tribal zombie EDH deck
This one will probably be quite pricey, which means I won't be able to add it until it rotates. But it would be amazing, which makes me want it quite a bit.
The other one will be much cheaper (I'm guessing), so I could add it right away. But my general is Nekusar, the Mindrazer, which makes it really quite sucky.
Now we only need better one-drops (possibly something with an ETB discard ability, since bringing back Diregraf Ghoul doesn't really impact the board that much) and Zombie tribal may finally be playable.

Tidehollow Sculler is the most efficient two-drop we have. A dedicated Vial Zombies deck might work well with it and Relentless Dead.

Relentless Dead is that one zombie that keeps punching the windows the entire movie and who eventually opens the path for all his buddies.
Anyone point out that this is already good with Fleshbag Marauder? Can Recur Marauder over and over, I don't know how a deck can win if it doesn't interrupt that chain of sacrificing. Evolutionary Leap seems completely busted with this card too. Get it for $13 I think this will be the next Jace. Collected Company is becoming poised to be the breakout deck between the previously mentioned cards, Zulaport Cutthroat and Nantuko Husk which just happens to also be a zombie. We already have strong zombies that cost 3 or less, I have to imagine we'll get at least one more in Innistrad.
$35 by the time Innistrad is released.
This will be soo infuriating to play against...grab'em while they're hot guys, I can't see a Standard Zombie deck not playing four of these. Great card and a blatant money grab by Wizards, how would making this guy a rare seriously imbalance Limited? Someone eventually drafting two doesn't sound like the Zombie Apocalypse. And it could hardly be called a bomb when it's still a 2/2 creature, no matter how many times it could return to (un)life, it's still a bear that can be stopped on its tracks by any butt bigger than 3.
It is kinda crazy that it doesn't exile itself when it dies when you choose the "return another zombie mode." Usually some crazy recursion like that gets nerfed like Whip of Erebos type things. Still... impressive bear.

To the people that say that a card needs to be a higher rarity because of Limited... I hate you guys so much. I present to you with this.

Pretty mythic, if you ask me.

If you carefully, the art work is the "sequel" to Endless Ranks of the Dead.
I love this card... gunna be a power house!!!
