I'm a fan. There is only one thing that even closely rivals my Izzet-ness and that is Zombie tribal. This is combo-licious and I love it! I never get hyped for sets any more, as they usually disappoint me. But, I'm cautiously optimistic about this set. This along with Geralf's Masterpiece has me quietly doing the zombie shuffle!

This in multiples works very nicely with madness. When it dies, pay {b} to bring it back. Discard it to madness. Another one dies, activate to return the first to the battlefield and the second to your hand...
Could this finally be it? A legitimately playable two drop zombie? A zombie that won't make the Gravecrawler>2 drop zombie>Geralf's Messenger sequence feel bad? A legit two drop zombie that helps monoblack devotion? A legit monoblack zombie that can go into my Korlash, Heir to Blackblade deck and make it truly monoblack tribal at it's finest? With added ability to take advantage of the grandeur discards? I don't think my heart has felt this happy for a card since Phyrexian Obliterator. Standard playable, Modern Playable, Casual Playable, Commander Playable (notice how casual and commander aren't the same thing?), and zombie tribal all star. Is this how Leo felt when he won an oscar? Is this how AZ felt when he finally got Floette back? Is this how Luffy will feel as he finally attains One Piece?
This a good card that should be a rare,I don't see what's mythic about it,it's just a 2/2 zombie.Mythics are supposed to be legendary creatures, planeswalkers, world warping spells and ancient creatures that don't show up that often in the world.A common zombie? Really?
I don't think you understand how the rarity system works.
Yup, sure am glad that mythics are not all just the 'best cards' in the set and have a really splashy special effect There is absolutely nothing about this card that makes it worthy of being a mythic except to sell more packs. Great card that I will likely never get to play with.

No that's exactly how the rarity system works,or that's what they claimed when they first introduced mythics. Then as time passed they bent it where any playable card can be mythic regardless of its lack of mythicness feel.
This card is super awesome. I'm a little amazed there's no "can't block" clause like we usually see on these types of cards. Like others, I'm a bit disappointed in this being mythic rather than rare. I'm just not willing to shell out twenty bucks for it, cool as it may be.
I was lookingg to get a friend into playing mono black zombies in modern. Looks like I found him his champion.
As a mono colored aggro player, this gets me excited. This is the mythic version of bloodghast. I love every single thing about this card. Menace is icing on the undead cake.
This card is insane. VERY VERY powerful. I would say one/two more cards like that and mono B zombies aggro might become a thing in modern.

Would you like to read Commander stories? Check my latest stories, coming from Lorwyn and Innistrad: Ghoulcaller Gisa and Doran, The Siege Tower! If you like my writing, ask me to write something for your commander as well!
Okay, this is a zombie who needs two people to block him, and if they manage to kill him, he can not only reanimate himself, but another zombie buddy who was already killed. And people are questioning why this is mythic!? Have you ever seen a zombie in any medium that could do anything like this? I didn't think so
Mm.. 1 second, I was impressed with the card. Next second, I was like 'this is a demanding card' in Standard.
Menace : One of the worst mechanics ever.
1st ability : BBB commitment seems heavy B
2nd ability : Powerful!
My thoughts:
1) Not for aggro cos no way I am leaving mana open for his 2 abilities.
2) Maybe for control cos its persistent but why will I use a 2/2 wincon and why will I use his 2nd ability for another better zombie when I can just cast that zombie?
3) Yes for midrange cos its persistent and has grinding value.
4) Maybe for combo / synergy cos 2nd ability but it needs another to tango.. re-casting is BBB ... demanding.
Overall, Yes I was hyped for this card. No I do not think its worth it unless it finds a tango partner. Although maybe a 3P will break it..?

It's an evasive 2/2 for 2 mana in an aggressive color with built in recursion abilities, not only for itself, but for other zombies. Late game this is worth incredible amounts of value. Not to mention the sequence of one of these guys dying, reviving another copy, that one dying, reviving the first...This is the sort of card aggro dreams of, midrange adores, and even control can use cautiously, (as if we get any decent controlling zombies, this would be a great chump blocker and utility card for them). That's a rare and bold statement for any card to make. The only strike against this card is the mana cost. Saying you are not leaving mana open for his abilities is kind of...odd. Do you play aggro? Have you never played with Abbot of Keral Keep? The logic should apply evenly across both as you need immediate mana to generate value on the abbot. But he is still a fantastic role player in those red decks.

And this reference to Endless Ranks, yes. The artist is different.
No it's not, the oversized card is wrong.

Read my other stories as well (some ongoing):
Reaper King (a horror story), Kaalia of the Vast (an origin story), Sequels for Innistrad (Alternative sequels for Inn), Grey Areas (Odric's fanfic), Royal Succession (goblins),The Tracker's Message (eldrazi on Innistrad) and Ugin and his Eye (the end of OGW).
Just a note, NWO has nothing to do with anything above common. NWO relates only to the complexity of commons.

If you can use the abilitys if you sac it
Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet and this is going to be psycho good
And zombie decks may see modern because of this.
This is gonna be an expensive card at launch.
