Holy crap! If anyone's ever read the story of the Philadelphia Experiment, that first artwork totally reminds me of what supposedly happened to the sailors on board the ship.
Someone enlighten me, why is Lahiri mad at Sorin, again? I know he didn't show up on time when she called for him, but that's no reason to commit a genocide on his clan?
well...That escalated quickly.
I sense a Sorin vs. Nahiri moment coming.....Jace will probably get in the way or some bigger threat will reveal itself.

Wizards. listen. The Vorthos community will await the consequences of the Eldrazi Titans' deaths/sealing. We will keep the watch.

I'm still hoping that Nahiri was turned into a vampire by Sorin(to save her life) and she's gone mad from the transformation. Fingers cross for a WBR Nahiri.
Someone call Volrath, one of his chalky slaves is acting up.
I hope they don't come up with any bull***** why Ugin, Nahiri and Sorin should remain allies after this. Ugin outright lied to them for undisclosed reasons, wether it was innocent curiosity or an actual plan for the eldrazi he ****ed up. Nahiri is being unfairly hysterical and Sorin pretty much got ****ed over by Elf Hitler, her stupid ***** wasn't even his fault.
One possibility is that Nicol Bolas is manipulating Nahiri against Sorin to 'punish' him for resurrecting Ugin.
I definitely see this as happening. Nicol is a major antagonist, and with this block structure reboot and Planeswalkers being even more central to the story, WoC has to reestablish him as a cunning villain in the multiverse. I would also be 100% fine with them reintroducing Pre-Mending Planeswalkers (Nahiri) that have somehow lost premending powers but still retained immortality. The only catch is that they are all crazy to the max i.e. from that Revelation at the Eye Uncharted Realms story "Jace wasn't sure if it was the longevity or the power, but he'd noticed that ancient Planeswalkers had something in common: They were all completely insane."
I also think that the vampires are either still alive in the stone or they are slowly starving to death because they can't hunt, which would fit into a more brutal revenge.
I'm usually not into Innistrads art-style in general, but damn those pieces are all great! Olivia in armor, the markov dude and Nahiris wrath, the dark atmosphere it creates is just insane. I'm kinda worried about my fluffy-haired kor at that point though... bad guys usually lose in magic, and I really don't want to see her get beaten up by the power rangers in this episode.
I'm SO SICK of the "too strong for Standard" argument. It's the new "Dies to removal". We can have a two mana 4/4 with a zillion abilities, but we can't just have Accumulated Knowledge. Makes sense.
Wow. I was definitely one who though sorin may very well not be in this block, but after this artwork, I would not be surprised if he is, and as a black red walker. I could see him going mad with rage from this act, and then turn avacyn to the dark side, explaining angels going evil. Then it makes sense for Nahiri to be mono white, as I believe she will be, which wouldn't conflict with her killing a bunch of black and/or red aligned vampires as they are whites enemy colors. If that happens Tibault may stay mono red, if he appears which I think he will
The big question is, what was done to Nahiri to make her go from a mono-white walker to someone willing to horrifically slaughter hundreds. Also, Sorin looks only the slightest bit annoyed.
He's been banished from his own manor for hundreds of years, I doubt he has much sympathy for them. He's likely ******** his pants wondering where Nahiri is and what she's up to next. (I'd say wondering why she's mad, but Sorin based on the story that we know, already knows why Nahiri has a bone to pick).
I think that the vampire dude is in fact Edgar Markov... I would love a BR Runo Stromkirk but...take a look at this picture from the mothership:
Each vampire has a different colored stone on their outfit...Olivia has the red one, Heir of Falkenrath has the white one on her waist and the last vampire has the black one and not the purple one.

I still suspect she is being influenced by the same thing that is causing Avacyn to go mad too, and that she will be restored to mono-W sanity by the end of the block. That said, Sorin did sound somewhat tentative about getting back in touch with her again when he spoke to Ugin. For all the flavour text of Structural Distortion implies Zendikar is the source of her angst, I think we have yet to discover the real reason she's so angry at Sorin.

It's kinda weird how Sorin wears a prominent red ruby on his chest. Probably no real connection, but who knows.
It would be cool if the other vampire families attack the Markovs now since they have been weakened. I don't really like the new Olivia. She had so much poise in her old art and I love how she appears in Past in Flames.
Also, why is everyone saying that Nahiri is evil? We don't even know if she is behind the angels changing and by killing vampires isn't she helping the humans on the plane? If she was attacking innocents I would agree that she is evil, but that is not what I see here.
