What's to say she won't be a GW card on front, GR on back? They've done something like that before with Garruk Relentless, so...
This is what I meant about her possibly changing colors, though I expect, if that's the case, it to be WR human form to RG werewolf form. Her werewolf art has a notably more greenish tint than her normal art to imply that there is a color change as well. Speaking of, I love her normal human art but her werewolf art has to be one of the ones I dislike the most. It feels so... shaped and mushy. I guess. Is the feeling I get. Maybe less defined is the best way to put. Compared to a lot of the excellent werewolf art in the previous block. But like I said I love her human form art. Lots of personality.
Hmmmm...I see what you mean. I actually love both pieces of art for her. Her human form, as you said, has a lot of personality and creates the sense of a very strong and experienced woman. I love the direction her werewolf form took though. It's not overly muscular and actually seems to have more of a focus on the wolf qualities while resembling a human posture. Previous werewolves, awesome in their own right, for the most part had a more human figure. The differences in figure and the white fur really makes Kord standout as a legend should.
Don't think it will be a flip walker. The flip cards do not have her listed on it. Such as cards of delver of secrets and Huntmaster of the fells. Maybe she will have a different card or just be a planes walker.
She has 2 arts wich implied she will be a flipwalker. There could be more then 1 fliped card or just doesn't have her.Hard to imagine not having her a flip card like Garruk got in original Innistrad
I agree with this. Both of her art pieces seem perfectly framed for a Planeswalker card. I just cant imagine them commissioning both of these pieces so specifically and then not using them in the vein of Garruk.
look at the flip card holder: her name isn't on it. So either she will get a card next set or she is not a flip walker.
Look at the checklist closely: you'll see the collector number as "CH1/297" or Checklist 1. There is possibly a second checklist (after all, that one is full). Also, there is not a single gold card on it. I find it doubtful that we will not get a single gold card, or legendary creature, as a flip card.

I believe this to be likely the case as well. Although, could do like they did with Nissa in BFZ and have her featured on cards but the actual planeswalker card being in the second set (I sincerely hope not, as I like the idea of a werewolf planeswalker).

I wonder if she'll be similar to the Origins flip-walkers, a legendary creature on one side and a Planeswalker on the other. It would fulfill both the set's need for a new Planeswalker and the demand for a legendary werewolf.
Hardly. The flipwalkers of Origins represented the ignition of their sparks. No such thing here. She is said to be able to fully control her transformation, it implies a DFC walker with you having total control of her transformations back and forth, probably as an activated ability. Garruk could only transform to the Veil-Cursed form, but not back.
And I would admit now that the people who pointed out that the DFC checklist has number "1" were right that there is a second one - even if she was there alone.

Let this great clan rest in peace (2001-2011)
- The Werewolf Planeswalker.
- A legendary werewolf in R/G.
- TPPC's Angel/Demon. I'll go as far as saying it could be Avacyn: after all, things could have happened to her in the Helvault.
- Legendary Vampire.
Art strikes me as red or red/white (it's said she was aligned with Goldnight...) oddly enough. Green always struck me as the main color for werewolves. She doesn't appear on the transform list card we've seen unless she's non legendary and/or unnamed pre-spark. But it would be really weird to go out their way to make a werewolf walker and then she doesn't transform!
We've seen one token for transform cards. That doesn't mean there's only one.
Look at the checklist closely: you'll see the collector number as "CH1/297" or Checklist 1. There is possibly a second checklist (after all, that one is full). Also, there is not a single gold card on it. I find it doubtful that we will not get a single gold card, or legendary creature, as a flip card.
I highly doubt they will have more flip cards than those on the list as symmetry is met and they cannot make a whole set based around 1 mechanic that requires the checklist. Also for multicolored ones, only the huntmaster of the fells fits that criterion out of all the flip cards.
Anyone who denies she will be a flip walker in soi is fooling themselves. The checklist card has, "ch1" on it ffs. I highly doubt Wizards would put a 1 next to something that doesn't at least have a 2 because it's wasted ink which costs money. Have some common sense people.
In terms of value, flip planeswalkers will always be bellow normal ones in my eyes. I really like flip cards, but when I want a game changer, I like to play him from hand.
Only one problem with her. They could make more vampire female and only few vampire male. Warewolfs should be 90% male. Not having a male wolf planeswalker is bad. She looks ok, but a male one would have been amazing. Again, this is not something against gender, just saying somethings look better as male and something as female. Male elf are looking bad while female elf are looking good. And 95% of this world thinks this way.
No, no they don't. This is your own personal viewpoint and absolutely does not apply to the rest of us. Couldn't disagree with you more. Wish there was a downvote button >;)
I'm just wondering if this card will be Legendary on one side, and Planeswalker on the reverse.

I'm fairly confident I will think of something to say. Active Player: 1994-1999, 2016-
Just a wild guess based upon her story, I am guessing she will be cast as a PW, but be able to flip into a creature at any time. She may even have a pseudo Sengir Vampire like ability that puts loyalty counters on her any time a creature dies ina turn where she damaged it. I think it would be quite flavorful.
One thing I thought was strange in her bio was that they made it a point to say she couldn't return to human form before planeswalking back to Innistrad (but afterwards gained the ability to transform at will though it didn't specify whether she could transform at any time on other planes). I don't know what the importance of that is, though. But it feels like something they wouldn't have put if it wasn't important. I guess maybe it could be some purely mechanical explanation for her showing up in a block that doesn't have transform but might still feature her in one form on a single-sided card in the future?
Yup, that's exactly what I first thought as well. They don't want to tie in a Planeswalker to a plane's mechanic, because that's exactly what a Planeswalker shouldn't do. The whole point of Planeswalkers is to have cool characters that can travel the Planes and experience the worlds without being bound by any rules, and binding her to flip cards seems like a major fail.
Anyway, definitely a fan of the character. A more mature, motherly and warrior-y woman in the roster is exactly what Magic needed IMO. She's so cool, I can almost forgive her artist for doing such a smug troll face in her art.
Almost.
Besides, in her backstory, they said when she's off Innistrad, she's stuck in whatever form she was in till she returns, and then she can transform freely. So in Innistrad she can be a DFC and elsewhere just single-face.
And the Origins checklist was number 000 compared to the one we've seen that's CH1. I think having the big legends/planeswalkers with the Origins 'bust' treatments as CH2 is a great idea.
They didn't care that he was the savior of Fort Keff, the great hunter of Ondu, the champion of Kabira. To them, he was just another piece of flesh, a thing with life to be drained away.
Right now, transforming werewolves are.
The point still stands, however. They don't want a Planeswalker that they can only use once every full moon (pun intended).
EDIT: Also, MaRo already explained the issues of having dual-faced Legends before (and IIRC that was the sole reason why they ditched the GR Werewolf Legend and made Huntmaster of the Fells instead). The only reason the Origins Flipwalkers made it is that they don't change back. Unless something has changed, I'm sure this will still be the case, and Arlinn will not flip involuntarily.

The way the biography is written, it sounds like she only has access to her planeswalking when transformed? If so, that could mean one of my predictions is true and a legendary werewolf human will flip into a werewolf planeswalker. Not sure if anyone has mentioned that possibility since five pages is a lot in such a short time.

From what I could tell, the biography just said she couldn't transform back until she walked back to Innistrad. She just had her spark ignited and was flung into the blind eternities while she was a wolf, not that she could only walk while she was a wolf. I interpreted that to mean that she couldn't transform except (as far as we know) on Innistrad, which the reason for that would be to help explain why she doesn't have a dfc card if she shows up on a plane that doesn't feature them, if that ever ends up being the case.

No, it means that she can only shift between human and werewolf form on Innistrad - elsewhere, she's stuck in whatever form she was in (she sparked while in werewolf form and didn't recover her senses till morning on a different world).
So we can have DFC Arlinn cards on Innistrad (walker/walker) and she'd work just fine as a singleface walker elsewhere. I don't see her doing the 'spark' thing for it seemed it happened a while ago.
The flavor of her only being able to transform if she planeswalks points me to believe that she will have 2 separate cards, one in SOI and one in eldritch moon. That to me seems like what the flavor is hinting at.
In terms of value, flip planeswalkers will always be bellow normal ones in my eyes. I really like flip cards, but when I want a game changer, I like to play him from hand.
