This mechanic will unnecessarily complicate EDH for very little payoff.
I'm not a fan.
How so? I doubt any of the "You become the Monarch" cards will be playable outside of limited.
I hope you're right, but I can totally see people playing even bad Monarch cards just to complicate the game.
Nekusar players will love it, I'm betting.
It isn't that complicated either. It is like a very minor version of Edric's ability. If you have people playing bad cards to create "complicated" board states in your meta, then that sucks I guess?
I don't see too many Nekusar players setting up a very slow once a turn draw that requires combat damage to be doled out. Why set things up when there are like a million wheel effects?
These abilities would be very similar to putting a legendary artifact that draws a card at Eot that has a drawback of switching control when someone attacks you. This is not anymore complicated than any other card in magic, especially because they are including a reminder "token".
I can see Snapcaster Mage, Serum Visions or Aven Mindcensor being on this set.
And I'm hoping for some good commander/casual cards to get reprinted aswell, just like in the original Conspiracy.
I don't see them taking anything away from MM3 right now, with Serum Visions and Snapcaster Mage. As for Aven Mindcensor are there bird folk on Fiora? Not saying that card can't be reprinted, but that might hurt its chances.
Good points, but I still think they won't be taking anything away from MM3, and those three cards are pretty high on the list of things they need to show up there. The first Conspiracy did mostly have pre Modern cards as its reprints, at least when talking about the valuable ones. With them putting in INN and RTR blocks next Modern Masters I wouldn't expect anything high value from those sets in Conspiracy 2, or any other set or product they put out before then. Really wish they would though, nothing wrong with seeing Snapcaster twice within a year.
Reprinting expensive cards benefit the people who haven't investere in Wizards' products and hurt the people who have already supported Wizards of the Coast.
Oh no! Doing something that helps newer players out, helping to generate more new interest in the game and therefore earning more profit? A profit-maximizing business would never do this!
(Sorry for the snarky response, here's a real one. In seriousness, Wizards has shown that they are willing to reprint staples in Masters Sets even if a booster's EV is low nonetheless, and I understand older players' concerns about secondary market prices. However, you do have to remember that Hasbro, as a for-profit corporation, has the primary goal of maximizing their profit, not yours or anyone else's.)

AND the argument of "I supported WotC" is bull**** because if I buy some old cards from the secondary market, WotC sees 0 Cent from the 100$ I spent for my Jace the Mind Sculptor.
Only reprinting the cards allows players to actually support WotC.

Incorrect. Secondary sales allow the game to propagate, and it allows the retailers to continue selling WotC's products. Magic wouldn't last long if only the most recent set was available for purchase.
Besides, Wizard's sees $0 from players buying product anyways, if you want to be overly literal. Only the distributors support Wizards by that logic.

Not really.
If 1 person buy the lastest set, the distributor won't order more products from wizards of the coast.
If 1000000000000000000000000 people buy the latest product, the distributor will order more products from wizards, giving them more money.
Now, even if 1000000000000000000000000^1000000000000000000000000 people by mtg on the secondary market, wizards will see absolutely %0 from that. Now that's a real $0. The only way wizards will make money from that is for them to make reprint set, like Modern Master or Vintage Master,

Not really true - every one of those secondary market cards came from a pack, and so supported WOTC :3

If nobody is buying on the secondary market, nobody will open the packs, so the store won't sell them, so the distributor won't order them... You can't arbitrarily decide to put a wall up in that chain and say that everything to the right is support and everything to the left is not. If the packs sale are support, despite the money from them not directly going to WotC at all, how is the secondary sale, which gives WotC the same amount of direct money, not?
Basically, both sides have a point. If there were no secondary market at all, then Wizard's sales would suffer. However, the secondary market sales of anything that is currently out of print (so basically anything not in standard) have no direct benefit to Wizards, since they already sold all the boxes of, for example, Worldwake they're going to ever sell.

Because a pack can only be purchased once, while a card can be sold on the secondary market countless times.
In other cases, you have examples where expensive cards don't actually lead to an increase in the number of packs sold because the EV of the box is too low. People didn't go out to the store to buy packs to get a foil Jace, VP, because the chances are extremely low. The supply mostly comes from limited players and people who open packs for the sake of opening packs, two groups that don't have as elastic of demand (outside of cases like KTK where everyone wanted to get some fetchlands).
Reprinting expensive cards benefit the people who haven't invested in Wizards' products and hurt the people who have already supported Wizards of the Coast.
Right? Only the people who bought cards when past sets were in print should have those cards!! Don't HURT these people with occasional reprints! The secondary card market will implode! I'm going to go stick my head in the microwave!
Can everyone stop with the business talk? It doesn't matter what our opinions are, even with all the crappy sets lately, wizards is selling enough packs to be profitable and thrive, thats a discussion for its own forum topic.

I'm really hoping we see some very cool and interesting conspiracies this time around, ones that change game mechanics or do unique things to certain cards. I pretty sure we are getting the obligatory "you start the game as the monarch" one, which will be kind of awesome.

Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
Its a supplemental product which is ussually 7 days before release isn't it?
Also can someone please tell me what happened in the last set? I didn't read any of its lore. Just want to know who is still alive and kicking for the 2nd product.
I might be wrong, but the first set itself was quite light on lore - I recall a prequel story about Brago becoming the "King Eternal" he already is in Conspiracy. AFAIK only this set will move the story on from the status quo e. g. the assassination of Brago and probably the consequences of that power play.

I am not familiar with Conspiracy and its reprints. So I only have one question: Is there a chance that I finally get my Berserk reprint after Eternal Masters let me down?
If it's not on the reserved list, it's possible. But I wouldn't hold my breath, it's a $95 card with narrow applications that might be overpowered in limited.
