I REALLYYYYY hope they add cards of substance in the rare slot unlike the flop that was Modern Masters 2 where msot rares where of bargain bin quality with very few uncomons/comons of substance
I find it hard to get my hopes up. Looking back on the two mm sets I fear that wizards has the inability to balance a draft set with competitive cards at the constructed level. Seems to me that maybe a non draft set just a reprint set might be what the magic community has been screaming for for quite a while
So, two questions: (1) how many relevant reprints do you think are going to be in the set? (2) how is the set going to affect the card prices? Since it might increase the interest in legacy, is there a possibility that cards like FoW will get even more expensive? I assume this is having a limited print run (like MM2).

I feel this set is in a weird spot. Legacy isn't getting much love not even through SCG, and now they are reprinting Legacy stuff? I guess this plan is to pump some cards in, lower the price barrier, so the love will flow back into the format?
I hope this set will contain more value per pack, unlike MM2015.

1: IDK, but I'm sure they will have enough relevant cards to sell.
2: That depends on if people actually try and dive into Legacy? Even with the reprints of some cards not on the reserved list the price points for Legacy decks will still be very high. If the majority of folks just sell them, it might bring the prices down. I'm going to guess its going to have the same effect of the MM sets, they will take a hit initially then spike to either pre Eternal Master prices or higher.

I think there will be a fair amount of relevant reprints (I'm assuming Rishadan Port is in it based on the previous rumors).
Personally, I would expect prices to drop. It may increase interest in Legacy a little bit, but honestly, the mana base is the biggest barrier to entry, with most duals, Karakas, Gaea's Cradle all going for $100+ each (hey, Karakas is eligible for this set!), and I can't see many people cracking a Force of Will wanting to suddenly jump into Legacy. I'd expect drafters to immediately flip the money cards for cards of their preferred format, bringing prices down. Wasteland being rare should knock it down a not-insignificant amount.
You may see an uptick in ABUR duals and other Reserved List eternal staples, as Legacy players try to shore up their investments, but overall, I kinda expect this set to actually do what's intended... assuming you can find these at MSRP
Yeah, extremely stoked for this. Might be the first sealed product I buy in a very long time. Expecting a few more re-reprints, maybe even Chalice again and Spellskite again (hopefully). Wonder which Vintage cards will make the cut? There's so many cards that could go here... awaiting a final list... I want a couple boxes for sure.
I'm trying to imagine what kinds of cards are realistically going to be in here for people to care about. They specifically mentioned Cube in the promotion, but a lot of the cards that make a rare Cube very expensive to build are on the Reserved List already. I suppose technically they could print stuff like the Mirage tutor cycle, Grim Tutor, Imperial Seal, Ravages of War, Natural Order...but would they?

I know part of their price tag is scarcity and pimp factor, but can you imagine how much a foil Imperial Seal would go for?
So is this going to have 24 packs per box like MM did? I'm super hyped for this set, which sucks because I was already hyped for SOI and damn money will be tight this summer.

Your right, :/ I won't have a problem getting at least one box at MSRP shooting for three but that all depends on how many my Homie is allow to order.

They will print what few legacy/vintage staples they can. Port and FoW are basically the only high priced non reserved cards.
In before pre modern jank as far as the eye can see.
