I think Oath of Chandra's flavor text is good character illustration. You should be able to get a feel for who the character is through their dialouge and this text at least in the ball park.
But whyyy does her Oath have to not be as good as the other three. The "Planeswalker entering the battlefield" trigger can be kind of hard to pull off, it would have been better if it only required you to control a planeswalker or even two or more.

Wizards trying real hard to make planeswalkers look like the avengers,I mean look at that art.Garbage story is garbage. At least game wise the set isn't looking as bad as bfz.
I sure do hope the Eldrazi Titans aren't actually dead, for reasons mentioned before... I mean, if Oldwalkers cannot kill them, why would Newwalkers be able to? And Leylines? again? If they are really, truly dead, I am disappointed in this set beyond comprehension... :/
Remember Ugin refused to kill them. They probably could have killed them when he bound them but he felt they should not be killed.
These oldwalker and the Hedrons, and secret meetings, they didn't catch it. All it took to defeat plane-eating titans was the local K-pop band high-five themselves and take the cool oath. "Yeah, let's do this! - Chandra". "Waving my sural! - Gideon" "Being an arrogant jack! - Jace" etc.
Hedron Alignment seems a fun build-around card though.
Remember when Yawgmoth was defeated after multiple blocks in a row, epic storylines out the wazoo, a convergence of a bunch of iconic characters going down with him?
Crikey, I'd prefer snidely whiplash: the dragon to return compared to the villain decay on display here
So, Hedron Alignment probably isn't playable, because it doesn't do a whole lot on its own and seems very hard to set up. We'd need four copies of Dig through Time, and probably some Treasure Cruises for good measure, find the four Hedrons and delve one away. We'd also need discard outlets and countermagic. The deck just folds if we accidentally self-mill too many archives, get more than one eaten by graveyard hate, or face discard spells. That's probably just bad. Still, funny card.
Reality Smasher will see play, at least as sideboard versus control. 5/5 haste/trample for 5 is a good starting point for Standard, and it can't be removed without two-for-oneing yourself.
Oath of Chandra seems meh. I suppose, if a dedicated Superfriends deck emerges, it'll have a role. But while the other Oaths so far have held their weight reasonably well even without their Planeswalkers-matter triggers, this one is a creature-only Volcanic Hammer.

The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
Hedron Alignment .. I'm not generally a fan of alternate win-cons (though I really want to build an Azor's Elocutors deck at some point), but this is hilarious.
Chandra; Oath of Chandra .. IT'S &^%%^* LIT!
Yay, other cards too. Neat.

Yup it took Ugin and gang ages to get the Eldrazi to manifest in a way they could be sealed in the first place, now they're totally free. Killing a manifestation may save Zendikar but failing to reengage the seal may have doomed the multiverse.
But expecting a modicum of reading comprehension may have been a little much by Wizards, apparently.
1) loot one with Jace VP
2) pitch one to FOW
3) cast one
4) get 4th one somehow (enlightened tutor?)
That seems incredibly fragile; most decks run grave-hate in the board for Reanimator, Dredge, delve, etc... directed discard disrupts it (two Thoughtseize kills it), and Extirpate and the like completely kills it. You'd need a way to recycle graveyard cards back into your library in that case, and then a way to tutor them back up.

Perhaps I'm thinking too small, because this certainly does seem at least somewhat feasible. But what you aren't taking into account is that we need to find four copies of a single card in our deck. That's going to require a higher-than-average number of card draw/selection spells in the deck to accomplish in a timely fashion. Also, getting two of our Hedrons forcibly discarded or exiled kills the deck. Even with the various elements of the combo being difficult to interact with (hexproof enchantment, card in exile, etc.), it feels fragile and inconsistent.

Yeah. Weren't the Ulamog and Kozilek just extensions of the actual titans in Blind Eternities? What if they just cut their hands off, not actually kill them?
That was the whole point of Ugin's speech yes. All they just did was damn the multiverse to save one plane. Presumably why they now all are making an oath to do it again and again, not that it will be that easy given they only were able to do this because of Ugin and gang's set up millenia ago.
So let me get this straight. Kozilek and Ulamog were felled by a crummy red burn spell? Couldn't have been a sweet way to reintroduce Swords to Plowshares? 1WR StP Surge R/W Hybrid? Ah well.
also also, Hedron Alignment is really cool as an alt win condition, but sad that no edh shenanigans are really possible with it.

The true mind can weather all the lies and illusions without being lost. The true heart can tough the poison of hatred without being harmed. Since beginning-less time, darkness thrives in the void but always yields to purifying light.
I invision a future where one is not mighty when he can silence a crowd with brutality,
but when he leaves them speechless with wisdom.
Ok, if Zendikar lives and Titans are defeated, I'm literally sad. I love Zendikar as a plane, but the Eldrazi winning would be actually something. Especially seeing the levels of devastation they've started to show us this set...it just feels wrong.
We already had New Phyrexia take over Mirrodin. I guess they didn't want to just have the bad guys win again, and I'm okay with that. Besides, there's still Emrakul...

I doubt they're dead. I remember reading that once they die in a material form then they turn back into their blind eternities shapeless state. The Oath team probably defeated them to put them into this state, and then trapped them into the hedrons again.
lol hedron alignment. could only have been more hilarious if it were a legendary enchantment. my mind wants to build a modern deck with this very badly, even though it could never win. infernal tutor/drift of phantasms/perplex to tutor for hedrons, disrupting shoal/snapback/commandeer to exile one, looting or something to discard the third. I can dream.
I don't like spoiling the story that hasn't been detailed in UR via spoiled cards, that's kinda lame. as others have stated, ugin talked in UR about how you can't kill the eldrazi so even though these cards seem to assure victory for the justice league I don't think it matters because they didn't kill the eldrazi in the blind eternities. I can be satisfied with that outcome. Chandra is trying to curb her enthusiasm, I like that.
Why the background art at Bonds of Mortality and Fall of the Titans is same? They just change planeswalkers and few rocks there...
Probably b/c it's a big storyline event. It wouldn't surprise me if we saw two more here, one showing off Jace & one for Gideon. The flavor text certainly seems to point in that direction.
Definitely agree Titans shouldn't be (apparently :sneaky:) going down this easily but whatever. Bet they're not gone forever. Permanently removing Eldrazi seems like trying to remove one of the laws of physics from the universe--can't do it. Guess we'll see..
Hedron Alignment is one of the more awesome alt-wincons they've done so far.
Chandra, Flamecaller - This card would have absolutely ruled our Standard metagame if it had one more loyalty upon entering or was five mana. That last ability would have been a monster. I'm glad how versatile and revolutionary it is, able to use any of the abilities upon entering. It's a really important Red card to see, since it showcases that, yes, Red can get advantage from wheel-like effects and we can have an expensive Red planeswalker that really justifies the high cost. Certainly the go-card for future RG ramp decks and possibly many incarnations of the "Superfriends.deck" that will exist. I can't wait. Great, great card.

My guess is to show that they are happening at the same time. It's flavor reasons and as a Vorthos I approve
I think thats pretty neat. And expect 2 more, for jace and gideon, as you can see them in the art as well
