When Inverter of Truth enters the battlefield, exile all cards from your library face down, then shuffle all cards from your graveyard into your library.
If you play this on turn 4, you're probably putting a couple of fetches and a spell in your library, the rest is gone. Better hope he doesn't get waxed, or you can finish in 3 turns.
This feels like a plant for an Innistrad self mill strategy. It would suck just about everywhere else.
I actually really like this. It looks like such a fun card, and really is nice to see Black get these crazy effects like on Demonic Pact. Really, they're great fun in a casual multiplayer game and don't cause everyone to groan when you play them like Chaos effect, ala Scrambleverse. Also, really reminiscent of Leveler.

This is one of those cards I love just for existing. Kinda wish we'd get more weirdness in the vein of this and Void Winnower and such.

I think I'll prefer Abyssal Persecutor for more straightforward decks. I wouldn't say this is worse, if your graveyard is loaded, then it could essentially be stronger than Persecutor, but it does have its glaring weaknesses (one graveyard removal and you're more screwed than your sacrifice outlet for Persecutor being removed). They're like similar, but different enough with their strengths and weakness that it depends on the deck and the meta.
With delve still in Standard at the moment though (plus I don't think anything in Standard breaks it), I don't think this will see much (if any) play for now.
Wow! That's an interesting one. I probably wouldn't play it while fetches are in standard (you don't want to have half your library full of fetchlands with no lands to fetch!), but it's definitely interesting in a self-mill deck or find a way to get only good spells in your graveyard (through Delve).

...I like that the ability is so strange, reminds me of arc slogger using your library as a resource.
This looks eminently abusable.
I think I'd probably want something like Rest in Peace since it fits on curve, and is permanent. Granted, this is janky as all hell.

And is that Eldrazi turning the clouds into the bismuth-like wastes?
Exiling face-down prevents your opponent from seeing the rest of your deck.
They can still process the cards, but they won't know what card(s) they are processing.
Not really something I want to see in limited too much

Probably so that your opponent doesn't spend 5 minutes looking through your whole library when you exile it.
With delve still in Standard at the moment though (plus I don't think anything in Standard breaks it), I don't think this will see much (if any) play for now.
So your opponent won't sit there sifting through your whole deck game 1 and give them even more an advantage?
Maybe also so an eldrazi processor will have to give stuff back randomly?
Otherwise I can't see any other reason
Yeah. You're right. Also I can see some combo potential now, with Laboratory Maniac. A very weird and interesting card.
