In Standard, I think this helps Elves the most. The problem is that I think "Elves" is really far from being tier 1, and I don't think this is amazing enough to get them there. It seems like a fine card though.

perceptive would still be fundamentally
unprepared for the truth of House Dimir."
See, if they wanted to do that, they should make a card that has "whenever an equipment ETB under your control, make a 1/1 white flying bird creature token and attach that equipment to it"
I don't play standard anymore, but please tell me that it hasn't sunk so low that Awaken Elementals are efficient enough to be a big part of the game.
WTF kind of attitude is this? If Awaken Elementals are *a part* of Standard, it should be expected that WOTC make it a relevant part of Standard. Are you really supportive of a Standard that introduces mechanics that, by definition, should be inferior and not part of the game?
That is a really crappy attitude, and one that I pray no one who matters agrees with.
I'm having a hard time imagining a home for this outside of Kemba EDH.
Kemba LOVES this, but any tribal deck would also want to run it.
No, the sort of decks that would get the biggest boost from this want to go wide, and so prefer anthems/lords. Boosting a single creature makes you vulnerable to spot removal and chump blocking, things swarm strategies normally are unfazed by. Kemba EDH is the only deck with the right blend of voltron and swarm needed to make this card work.
Part of me says this has possible potential with SOI, part of me wants to jump the shark with this and Dragon Throne of Tarkir. But then again, that WOULD be jumping the shark.

Gotta love all these callbacks to Stoneforge Mystic. Kinda makes me want to build a Kor Equipment Commander deck with Nahiri at the helm.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Personally I'm thinking that some sweet Artificer tribal action is about to go down in standard.
...
However, while I was joking, now that I look at the artificer cards it isn't that far fetched of an idea for Jeskai. Here are the current Artificers in standard, excluding Oath of the Gatewatch:
This equipment would also keep Thopter Spy Network activated and you'd have the option to choose either equip it to artificers or thopters depending on how many of each you have on the field.
Guess I'll leave my equipment smithing to the Mirrans/Phyrexians if all Stoneforge Mystic can forge is a lame Shared Animosity
I know, because Shared Animosity is such a bad card. Only wins games single-handedly in tribal decks. Ugh, will you little kids get off the internet and shut up already? You will complain about ANYTHING.
I don't see the appeal of this for EDH tribal, for reasons already mentioned... I don't want this in my Warrior tribal, for example, anything that I would cut for this already pumps the team for at least 1, usually a lot more, and giving my opponents a choice of which of my many individually-irrelevant creatures to block goes against my entire strategy of swarming the board with creatures and not caring if I lose some attackers to combat. Imagine you're facing 10 tokens with menace and deciding what you chump. You'd much rather one of them had +9/+9 than all of them had +1/+0 from a Sorin activation, because you can prevent the 9 damage in the first scenario easily at the cost of two creatures, where in the second scenario your choices are restricted and all that really matters is how many creatures you have.
Other strategies/metas may be different, but if you want an anthem effect you have a lot of options regardless of color (Coat of Arms, Door of Destinies, Adaptive Automaton to start), don't know why you'd want a "one big dumb creature" effect unless your tribal build had an evasive commander.
For Standard, tribal decks are already taking a big hit in efficient by being forced to play a lot of weaker creatures, I can't see making that situation worse by slotting in this thing instead of another creature or a piece of removal.
For Limited, however, it's a whole different story. I would want this in any sort of token strategy, probably moreso with scions than with allies because in scions lot of your creatures give you tokens and the choice of whether to add another creature or this is a lot easier.

"This card is great in bad decks, so it must be a great card!"
For tribal strategies to be competitive they need more than win-more artifacts and enchantments. Think about how many creatures you need in play for Animosity/Masterwork to do anything substantial, and then tell me why you actually need these cards to win the game at that point.

This seems like a late-development design where they just had to make a card around some art they had laying around.

Scions
Elves
Thopters
Maybe even Heroes Blade 5+, for Legendary tribal.
Legendary isn't a tribe
I'll try this one over Ghostfire Blade in my Eldrazi BG token deck.
