Planeswalker control with a bunch of 1-ofs and this seems like fun. Maybe not good, but fun. At the very least, it curves right into Gideon, so there's that. (Also Narset, Kiora, and Sorin. Actually, Narset rebounding this or Jace flashbacking this seems like a good time.) 3 CMC is low enough for a tutor to be playable, right?

"The true measure of all heroes is not what they achieve, but who they inspire." —Triumph of Gerrard
Pretty neat casual card but I doubt a 3cmx tutor for walkers is truly ever going to be worth it, even if gideon is on the table. Sarkhans triumph is similar but hasnt seen any play, and that gets atarka.
Why is this card white? Is this a new addition to white's slice of the color pie. Are the any relevant card comparisons? I've only been playing for 3 years now so any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Mardu Superfriends confirmed for this season, Gideon into Ob Nixis into Chandra, Butcher of the horde to abuse the tokens, Cracking Doom, Immolating Glare

Yeah bro, it's white.Idyllic Tutoris the closest comparison.
It's also rare. They're just trying to not use it on commons/uncommons.
I haven't played the game since innistrad (i have been keeping up on new sets though), but is the ugin walker still standard legal? I feel like G/W could be a thing with him as the top of the curve.
Interesting: white gets Planeswalker tutoring now, along with its regular theme of tutoring for Equipment and Enchantments. Fairly costed, too.
I'm going to pick up a bunch of these if they're cheap. It strikes me as a card that will gradually appreciate in value as more and more Planeswalkers get added to the card pool.

Oh my God Aviontheone, you can't just ask why a card is white.
Could this fit in to an Esper Superfriends control deck? I'm running a pair of Ugin, pair of Gideon, Narset and ObNix. Would certainly mean that I could run less of the Walkers, and gain more flexibility of pulling which one I need at the right time...
This is an awful lot of mana to spend not really _doing_ anything. I love the idea of the card, but I'd be kind of surprised if it's good enough.
In a world where you could just cast Mentor or Painful Truths or Dig/Cruise for this much mana, why are you spending it on a narrow card that has limited ability to interact... and making disdainful stroke or negate even better against you.
The main case I could see for this is as Ugin#5-8 in a dedicated ramp deck. None of the other planeswalkers (that we've seen) are really dominant enough on the kind of negative board state that you'd be playing into if you're running this card. You'd need an Elspeth6 level card that locks the board on its own before you started to consider fetching it for W2. I feel like this card is narrow enough that WW or WU or something would have been fine... W2 is a ton.
