So is this ability supposed to be in red or blue? I like its a free, cheap flashback on a decently costed body. 8/10 would firstpick in draft.

Fine card. If we still had Lightning strike this would be a shoo-in for standard, as is probably not. Five is too much for modern burn and cmc 3 locks it out of edh, but I sure will enjoy drafting him

Sweet, I like it. Probably too expensive for modern, but seems really potent. Jund anyone? Flash back that removal spell, get in next turn with a kinda evasive 4/4 that isn't getting bolted or abrupt decayed.

oooh, neat! I want some. Also, it seems there are eyeless goblins that dwell beneath Zendikar.

I like to think of it as "Add RRR to your mana pool, then spend it to cast a spell in your graveyard".
I really like this menace.

Nice, grindy card. Recurs the clan charms (Jeskai Charm being the most relevant short of Mardu Green or something), Crackling Doom, Exquisite Firecraft, three of the Commands (recurring Kolaghan's Command without having to run Blue for Jace seems potentially good), recurs Feed the Clan to keep out of range of aggro decks (while enabling Ferocious by itself), maybe Gather the Pack in a graveyard-based deck to fill up the 'yard further, Hordeling Outburst, Read the Bones, Roast, Temur Battle Rage, various Black removal spells...there are actually a lot of relevant spells that this hits in standard, and 4/4 Menace isn't insignificant in combat (doesn't beat Rhino, but Menace changes the math a bit). And Innistrad seems likely to support graveyard strategies, so the flashback should play well with cards from there, too. I like it.

This is a great red midrange card, which imho red greatly lacks. It immediately protects itself by flash backing a spell and has "red evasion" in menace to protect it in combat. This will be an auto include in the kinds of red decks I build, which is more tempo midrange red with another color to support. Let's be real, this is a red snapcaster Mage that won't immediately break formats so I approve

Pumped to brew with this in modern - could be the top end card advantage that vial goblins needs. Flashing back K-Command, Atarka's, Lead the Stampede, or Hordeling Outburst AND getting a great midrange body all sounds pretty awesome to me. If Siege Gang can work in Legacy, then I think there's potential.

Curves nicely after Zada, Hedron Grinder. It makes me wonder if we'll see a haste granting pump spell in this set. As it is the only thing that it you could "flashback" that could grant it haste is Act of Treason, reguardless this could still be good in a Zada build because even something as innocuous as Defiant Strike turns this into a creature that cantrips.

This seems far too expensive for a mono red deck. If this is good, I imagine it'll be in a bigger deck (a more aggressive Jeskai deck perhaps?)

Better FTK (+1 mana) with an Exquisite Firecraft in the grave. Seems good!

edit - Is there any way to abuse this? For example, with a spell that has a low converted mana cost but costs more? And does this work with Boom // Bust?!

as one player stated Zada into this, maybe? Come on man, Zada's done some fun and nasty things for me in limited, recurring Sure Strike or Titan's Strength or Temur Battlerage is a dream I want to live lol.

So they finally made a fixed red Snapcaster Mage

Kind of nuts alongside restoration angel or any flicker effect.

Could be a really nasty midrange tool at the top end of a curve

The suspend spells have a CMC of 0, and the Darkdwellers let you cast them without paying their normal costs, so yeah, they should work fine if I'm reading the card right (seems like fun with Living End, maybe?). And my understanding of split cards is that the answer is usually yes, even when it logically shouldn't be. If Isochron Scepter can cast Ends and Sunforger can cast Research, Darkdwellers should be able to cast Bust.

Are Wizards bored of Zendikar already? This seems like a card from Innistrad.

Having said that, this card spits on red when compared to Snapcaster, but it's undeniably good. Note that it's not restricted to red spells.

Wow. This guy is insane. Him and jace are going to be best buddies in standard. There is a deck there, even if I don't know what it is yet. It may not slot into any existing decks (don't know, havn't thought about this yet), but graveyard recursion is going to be a real thing. It's even better that the same answers that handle jace usually won't answer the goblins (firey impusle, silkwrap, ect.).

Seems auto include in UR/x commander decks. Definite value advantage with Deadeye Navigator.

cool card, but doesn't seem like a very inspired choice for the promo. this could be some random rare from any particular set. doesn't feel Zendikar-y at all.

I'm with you. I prefer promos that are distinct to the plane and not because they needed a promo. There are many playable rares which have mechanics tied to the plane. For example, Ruinous Path was a good choice, as was Rattleclaw Mystic.

Why not an Eldrazi for a promo?
