Mindbreak Demon 2BB
Creature - Demon
Flying, Trample
When Mindbreaker Demon enters the battlefield, put the top 4 cards of your library into your graveyard.
At the beginning of your upkeep, if you don't have 4 or more card types in your graveyard, lose 4 life.
[4/5]
Tec Edge is an all star in EDH as far as I'm concerned. It might be cheaper than Kor Haven but I think it's a better card. Although Kor Haven is actually not that bad either.
That said, the Sphinx is an auto-include in a Mizzix counterburn EDH. The Chandra will be powerful too, like a 6cmc In Garruk's Wake that sticks around (except in the mirror). Nissa seems a little niche, but expect to see it at the very least in sideboards.
I expect that we will see the smoothest manabases Standard has seen in a long time with the last of the slow-duals coming around, and I'm looking forward to playing Grixis Tempo with the Sphinx as a finisher in the mirror.

Generation 15: The first time you see this, add it to your sig, but add 1 to the number. Call it a social experiment.
Well, more important than that is that there are two Tec Edge foil versions, one at $7 and one at $4.50, where as the only Kor Haven foil is $45. I wouldn't particularly want to open either, but a Kor Haven expedition feels a lot more like it's filling a void than does a Tec Edge expedition.
I don't like non-complete cycles of things, I'm okay for diversity and all but all the lack of symmetry bothers me somehow.
I won't complain about Horizon canopy reprint if I get to open it
Makes sense but I'm not sure where the non complete cycle is. All the cycles were completed: shock, fetches, battle and filter lands.
im confuseed that we will never complete the new dual land cycle in full arts. which is really stupid of them to do
No to mention they did 3 different wastland effects which is odd
The lands that destroy lands are powerful and expensive cards, people ought to be very happy if they open one (even Tec Edge is a lot less so). As far as the other battlelands it is a bit of a shame but I doubt they are never doing this kind of a promotion ever again: just like with Mythic Rares, having something extra rare is pretty exciting and a great way to move product which is what WotC is in the business of.
Love that Strip Mine (looks like something out of Event Horizon) and Sunken Ruins. But do I trade off my FtV and pack foil for them?
No. OG foil ftw, I've already told you this before. Not to mention ugly diamond symbol. I think most people will prefer the old versions of these cards just because of that diamond.
While strip mine does look nice I am quite partial to the FTV version myself.
I on the other hand probably need to save money for a Kor Haven/Fire-lit Thicket or Heath. Beautiful...
I dunno, love the Event Horizon feel of the new Strip Mine. And jellyfish > merfolk, but true 1 is better than <>.
Here's to me being right on this Nissa being overrated like the last one (called it then too), shame there's no Jace for me to be right about being good again this time too.
Well, WotC has pubilically stated they will not do half cycles in regards to lands anymore. and the fact that the ther five new duals can never be made expiditions is rather infuriating.

Hmmm who is the 2nd most played/best flip walker? Nissa. Who is going to get played quite a bit? This Nissa. She's not being overrated. Tokens +Gavony Township is great.
Graven Cairns is part of a bigger cycle which was represented here though.
I mean, I think there's an argument to be made that the Future Sight rare lands are not actually a real cycle but I do get your point.
As far as the other Battle Lands, it's a shame but I was never of the mind that we would be getting the other 5 here (it would make Standard pretty bonkerz) so not letdown for me.
They never said no half cycles. They said all 10 would have access to color fixing in proportional quantities for constructed. I'd be shocked if we don't see the battle lands soon, though. Basic land typed duals are pretty special considering shocks are the only other reprintable duals with them.

Even if they do something similar, they wont do it every set. and it wont be expedition frame and such, thus the cycle will never be complete and im sure that will upset a lot more people than me.
Not to mention, Im fairly positive that the expeditions are the main reason the set is and will sell. The sets so far are pretty terrible. All wizards did was make the richer players happy while flaunting something in front of the average player that they can only hope to pull and never actually afford.

BFZ is an awesome draft environment and Standard looks to be doing quite well even if, it's true, the set isn't super powerful. Not sure how anyone can complain about this set with what we just go tonight, a ton of great stuff landed on our laps.
If no one has said it yet, it looks like the french land is "Ruins of Sea Gate."
Edit: I guess it might be "Rubble of Sea Gate," but that sounds weird.

Well then, since you're so good at seeing cards for what they are, how is Chandra?
A bit too expensive IMO, even if abilities are nice. +1 is meh but her 0 and "ultimate" are good. Unfortunately upticking isn't gonna happen much with her I don't think and she may just be a Slice and Dice by the time she drops

I have a feeling this printing of Edge will hold some serious value.
The card sees a lot of Modern play after all.

It taps for one colorless or you can pay a life to get any colored mana, but only to spend for Devoid spells.
