Yeah, I kind of assumed it would be the filter lands and the full cycle of manlands in OGW's Expeditions.
Gotta say, I do love the art for this one. I'm hoping that they try to stick in iconic Zendikar locations wherever they can with the filter land Expeditions.
"Battlelands" already don't make sense because unless the other 5 are printed in "Ravnica the Third: Battle for Jace's Head" or something, "battle" means impressively nothing.
The checklands are the only cycle of rare dual lands that fits in the frame (other than scarlands, but those names, they can't be on zendikar).
Except the checklands, outside of finishing the cycle on innistrad, won't be printed outside of a core set. doubt checklands + tangolands. we'll end up with 4 color decks again like innistrad/rtr.
Design has said 3 colors is the max they ever want standard to support, and prefer dual/mono.
Art is sweet, filters are nice cards, and the (seeming) confirmation on <>'s meaning is nice. Color me as pleased as I can be for a card that I'll never pull.

Manlands are a little text-heavy for an expedition frame. Perhaps some colorless land cards including Mirrorpool and Wastes.
The current Expeditions use as many as 5 lines of text and neglect to print the specific mana they tap for.
If you're referring to shocklands + tangos, that's because the tapping for mana part is reminder text and not rules text. It comes with the basic land type.

The checklands are a full cycle
There are no more core sets
Expeditions are not Standard-legal
While I'm no authority on the issue, I'm leaning towards this card being fake. I'll list my reasons.
1) The foiling looks... off. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it reminds me too much of the style of the MM/7th Edition foiling, sans the star.
2) The art. All prior expedition arts feature land formations, but no buildings. Yes, Godless Shrine is the questionable corner case in this regard.
3) The picture itself. Along the upper edge of the card, it looks like an overlay. This is most notable on the upper corners of the card, where the color is not uniform throughout.
I'm not an expert, and I would guess that the mods will likely be in contact with someone soon to check the validity of this card, but, something about this just doesn't quite add up. If I'm wrong, I'll be disappointed that WotC went with the Filterlands instead of the Checklands, though they have shown a complete disregard towards reprinting the Innistrad Checks, given multiple prime opportunities (Origins, Commander 2015).

May your games be chaotic and your decks be Rogue.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.

This also doesn't change format legality. Nothing'll be affected by these in terms of Standard; the only time checks/tangos will ever be seen together (if they're in there & that's highly unlikely with a 10 card cycle already in) is in BFZ/OGW limited.

Hey all... I'm retired, not dead. Check out what I'm doing these days (and beg me to come back if you want):
So this confirms what will be the biggest change to the mechanics of the game since the introduction of the stack.
I'm pretty freaking excited about the new design space by the creation of colorless as a pseudo 6th color.
This is of course assuming this is real.
Aside from the rules change necessary to allow Wastes to tap for mana, and adding the option for colorless-only to costs, what exactly does this change that's so drastic? I'm not seeing it.
Anyone point out it has the same background as that russian RG legend that was just spoiled?
I mean that white surface with the linear depressions behind the card, looks like the same person spoiled both cards.

Seems to be from a page full of Mtg art, tho I can't find an actual source

So the art isn't exactly new, but I still think it's real based on the foiling.

Also, I guess it is real art by Adam Paquette after all, huh... Neat.

what?
I'm very excited to see colorless become an actual "tribe" after all these years.

...What? It's not a new card; it's an Expedition reprinting of Mystic Gate.
