Yet another player who fails to understand the higher price is due to the modality of the card, sure if it was just the 3 cards for 3 life it be worse than ambitions cost, but it's not, it has 2 other modes you can mix and match. And BTW being able to hand out 3 -3/-3 at instant speed for 4 mana would be unreasonable. You really need to work on your card evaluation skills.

I was saying it should cost four, OR be -3/-3.
As is, it's a totally forgettable card that will have zero impact in EDH or Cubes.
Since they don't have to worry about formats like standard or modern when printing these things, they could have made this card significantly stronger.
I'm actually a lot better at evaluating cards than 99% of players. Especially when it comes to EDH.

Okay, sure, getting to aim pings every which way each combat is hella complex. Even getting a fat stack of tokens can complicate the board state math. But what about lifelink? Padding your life total is pretty darn simple, but it would have made the white one so much more interesting.
Largely because of the design reasons that they decided they wanted Myriad for. In the article where they talk about the design of Myriad, he mentions that it was added as a way to encourage the game towards a conclusion, by making attacking more attractive. Lifelink... doesn't really do that.
The Myriad uncommon cycle really annoys me. It's like Wizards designed the Black and Blue ones then couldn't think of anything the other three could do that wasn't OP, so they just said screw it, let's give them generic combat abilities and nothing that generates advantage like the first two. I mean why bother with a new, precon-specific mechanic if you're just going to slap it on a few uninspired beaters and a few creatures with an interesting ability that will just get chump blocked.
No kidding. They could have easily given the white one lifelink to make it more interesting. The red one could have had some Spark Mage-esque ability, and the green one could get an ability like Brood Sliver. It took me a grand total of one minute to come up with those ideas. (The lifelink idea I came up with immediately upon seeing Herald of the Host.) The people at WotC were working on these decks for, like, a year. They had plenty of time to come up with, playtest, and balance ideas at least as good as mine.

Yeah cause you clearly playtested those
I'm not saying I did, smartass, where did you get that from? I'm saying WotC had at least as much time as I did to come up with the myriad creatures, and iron out the kinks. With that time, they could have made the myriad creatures playable, or at the very least, capable of some interesting lines of play. Instead, they feel like limited filler, which is a pretty silly for precon-only cards.

Okay, see, that makes sense.
