Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
Mind Rock is the most beautifully simple card that I've ever seen and it literally managed to make my jaw drop and have me exclaim "wow!" out loud. It's not fancy, it doesn't combo-kill the entire table, it doesn't have much text, but it's without a doubt one of the most perfectly designed cards for the format. It's relevant for everyone at every level of competition and appeals to players of all shapes and sizes. From the scrubbiest of scrub decks to the most cutthroat combo decks most of them will happily slot this thing right into to their 99. My hat's off to design team on this one.
Arjun is weird and subtle and I like that. It's a strange effect that building a deck around takes some thought. It's what I always enjoyed about Vela.

Check out the thread for my cube if you have the time, and tell me how terrible it is.
Generals meant to be drafted first in a single pack of 6 cards.
And here is the actual cube, meant to be drafted in 4 regular sized packs. (60 card decks)
Momir Vig, Simic Visionary
Melek, Izzet Paragon
Oona, Queen of the Fae
Bruna, Light of Alabaster
Gisela, Blade of Goldnight
Rhys the Redeemed
Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord
Sen Triplets
The Mimeoplasm WUBRGSliver OverlordGRBUW WUBRGSliver Hivelord(Superfriends)GRBUW
Whoever designed the red/x legends this time doesn't get it.
I'm pretty sure they get it, but the thing they get is 'you UR players like Niv--here are more variations on cool Niv mizzets'. I think the Goblin guy is so ******* sweet, personally.
Given that they've printed nothing but new staples for every color deck in commander and filled in a lot of gaps that were missing c15 (soul sister commander!) is looking like a 99% win.
The only thing I can think of that the community really wants is a legendery spider/wearwolf and an artifact commander in UR (who may still be coming sheesh)
With that said, he does have a "place" in the format and makes out that Izzet as a color combination has the most mechanically interesting cards in the game. Overall, I do not like the card but I can respect it's place for the format.

Life is a beautiful engineer, yet a brutal scientist.
It is too chaotic for me. Unless there is a random 3rd artifact UR legendary (perhaps a mono color one with a red or blue mana symbol ability)... not impressed with UR commander deck. (The overload red card is sweet tho).

To the people that say that a card needs to be a higher rarity because of Limited... I hate you guys so much. I present to you with this.
Yeah, I feel your pain over Arjun not being artifact based, but I really enjoy chaos effects. I wasn't going to buy the UR deck, but now I may, just because I love Arjun (though I wish it was EACH player, for maximum lols).
Arjun may not be so hot as a commander himself, but he will be great as a member of Animar's 99. Get a few counters on, then continuously cast cheap/free stuff to cycle through your deck and find combo pieces? Yes please.
Mana rock looks solid, but I'd still rather have Mind Stone 99% of the time. Not to say it's not worth running both, of course.
Could we get a rough translation on Arjun's flavor text?
So stoked. This to me is the first dedicated UR chaos commander (since perhaps Jhoira, if she counts - her chaos decks are not her full potential though, as I'd opt more for combo with her, although they're doable...).
Awesome mana rock! Oh, there was a sphinx as well... yeah, mediocre. For that cost I rather have a Melek, Izzet Paragon, thank you very much.

Are wizards putting out playmats for this set like they did last year? I really want a Arjun mat. That art is gorgeous.

especially if they're trying to combo or storm...
I can imagine my opponent taking like five minutes to cast spells with Arjun
or just instant casting spells (brainstorm or peek or something) to try and dig for counter spells on the stack
