If these aren't good, this wait for spoilers is going to backfire hard. For me, even if this excessive dry spell of news is because "omg fetches reprint!" I'm still going to be disappointed. What a horrendous wait.
I'm hoping for enemy-color-paired storage lands!!!
Well done, sir, for being an island of realism in a sea of enemy-fetch-expecting entitlement.
If they do print them (which, I agree, they should probably get around to some day!), I will think of you and smile.
If they do bring fetches in, I think it would be more likely that they'd finish the slow fetch cycle from Mirage. (i.e. Rocky Tar Pit)
In fact, there's a few enemy colored mana cycles that were never finished, like enemy-colored borderposts, enemy-colored fast lands, and the storage lands that were mentioned earlier. I think these wouldn't be to far off of what is reasonable, except possibly the fast lands as I'm sure this wouldn't be the proper product for them.
So, what cards are at the top of everyone's reprint wishlist? Lots of Commander staples out there that really need a reprint. I'm hoping for:
Crucible of Worlds This card needed a reprint years ago. Don't think it'll ever make it into a standard set again, maybe I'm wrong, but a Commander deck would be the perfect way to reprint it. Enlightened Tutor, Demonic Tutor, Vampiric tutor, Idyllic Tutor, Gamble Wizards probably hates tutors in precons (they did include a few in the past though, right?) but these cards badly need a reprint because there's pretty much no hope for them in a Standard set (with the exception of maybe Idyllic, but it being left out of Theros block and accompanying blocks makes me feel we won't see it again anytime soon because there are no more Core Sets to reprint random cards like that and it wouldn't make sense outside of an Enchantment block, which we're obviously not seeing again for a while) Vindicate PLEASE LORD. this card has already had TWO Judge promos and I'd bet the one with Sorin on it was destined for the Sorin v Tibalt DD and was cut at last minute due to the value of the card. Well the normal one is only like $15 now. That's not too expensive for a Commander precon! Phyrexian Arena The card every black EDH deck wants, but it's been a while since it got a reprint and I'm surprised it's never made it's way into a Commander precon. Craterhoof Behemoth Probably pushing it. I don't think Wizards would reprint such an "I win" card in a Commander precon, but I can dream. Phyrexian Altar One of the best sac outlet effects (which are always important in Commander) that's never been reprinted. Seems like the type of card Wizards would be afraid to reprint in Standard and due to it's name it would have to be in Return to Mirrodin New Phyrexia, and who knows WHEN that will happen. Cryptic Command Another stretch, especially outside of a mono color precon, but good lord this card has been reprinted TWICE in the past two years and it's still a $30+ rare. this card desperately needs a mass reprint that's not in a Modern Masters set. It's also played in most blue EDH decks that I've seen. Sol Ring WITH ORIGINAL ART DAMMIT Solemn Simulacrum Always happy to get these. Can never have enough. Original art would be cool but probably won't happen. Swords to Plowshares Just like Solemn, I can never have enough. Though Path to Exile would be a better choice based on price. If swords, I'm hoping for Judge promo art, but Ice Age would be acceptable. Hallowed Burial I prefer Terminus but this one hasn't had a reprint yet.
I obviously know I won't get all of those. I'll be shocked if I get any of them (besides Solemn, Swords, maybe Hallowed and Sol Ring with terrible new art), but these are all cards that are big time EDH staples and there's just no other way at the moment to mass reprint most of them so Commander Precons are like my only hope..
As much as I would like to see them I would rather 5 new cards, especially 5 rare slots, not be designated to enemy versions of old lands with only ~55 new cards.
So, what cards are at the top of everyone's reprint wishlist?
I obviously know I won't get all of those. I'll be shocked if I get any of them
I hope that finally a miracle happens and Wiz will finally put into deck some playable cards - the ones that cost between $5-$15 due to hype and Modern and so on. I don't ask both the Gaea's Cradle and Abyss in one pack, for example - only a few playables per deck, maybe as follow:
Borderposts, fast lands, storage lands, any of the Future Sight cycles, a Krosan Verge cycle, and probably a few others I'm missing.
You are missing filter lands (the original odyssey kind like Shadowblood Ridge, not the kind based on Graven Cairns).
You are also missing toilet seats, which would be a pretty big deal if they got printed.
I am doubting any of the Future Sight cards will be reworked here. Just seems like a stretch to take one ally land and turn it into five enemy versions while awkwardly leaving out the final 4 ally versions. Guess they could do one version of each as an enemy version, but then someone would get the already existing filter land (Graven Cairns type).
Krosan Verge seems like a stretch because I do not think they want to put ramp in non-green.
I am also doubting both of the things you forgot: filters because they would be 5 rare slots and talismans because I do not think they are trying to push this kind of aggressive ramp.
Borderposts and storage lands seem quite believable. They fit the color need and would not really do anything unprecedented.

(U/B) is :symbu: or :symub: and the same is true for the other 9 hybrid symbols with their two colors in for the last 2 leters of the code. ((2/B) and co are :sym2b:)
Alternatively {UB} or {2B} in [mana] tags are (U/B) or (2/B) T is :symtap: and T will give T in [mana] tags
Krosan Verge seems like a stretch because I do not think they want to put ramp in non-green.
well, compare it to Myriad Landscape. Notice something?
Verge is just abit better cause you can get duals with it, but besides that its already available for every color anyway
Yeh there are two big differences between Krosan Verge and Myriad Landscape.
- Getting nonbasic lands is a huge advantage for supporting heavily colored decks. If Myriad Landscape said two lands that share a basic land type, it would be played in almost every deck.
- If made into a cycle, there would be tons of Verges. BRU/BWU could play three of them, which would be huge ramp for non-green. 5 color could play 10 Verges which is pretty gross in a slow meta.
Contamination is way too nasty of a card to see a commander reprint. It's supposed to a 'fun' format.
And yet they printed 'fun' things like Derevi and Oloro in sets past. Contamination is just another of those cards that needs to be answered when it hits the board, like myriad other cards in EDH. They've printed enough colourless answers for stuff like this recently that they'd likely be able to get away with it anyway (especially Unstable Obelisk). It would need to be in the right deck, but I wouldn't be completely surprised to see Contamination reprinted.
TL;DR: Contamination isn't too nasty - it's just one of those cards that encourages you to pack the appropriate levels of removal.

Sure. I mean, if we ignore the fact that they've already had some all star reprints in cards like Wurmcoil Engine, I guess most of them aren't that playable. Also you listed GFTT and Phyrexian Arena in the U/G deck, lol.
I'd love to see enemy borderposts. while lands are awesome more mana rocks are always welcome. I doubt fetches would show up, we already just got a "special" printing of them with BFZ. I'd much rather see storage or filter lands.
Yeah, borderposts would be a cool cycle to finish. Or at least functional border posts. I'd also like to see the Filterlands, especially over the storage lands if at all possible.
- If made into a cycle, there would be tons of Verges. BRU/BWU could play three of them, which would be huge ramp for non-green. 5 color could play 10 Verges which is pretty gross in a slow meta.
3/100 cards isn't really that big of a deal...
Besides, it's not like Green isn't already the best color in the format or anything.
TL;DR: Contamination isn't too nasty - it's just one of those cards that encourages you to pack the appropriate levels of removal.
The problem is if you don't have your artifact removal or don't draw it one card can easily lock you out of the entire game and you can't really do anything to stop it. I doubt they would print that, probably for the same reason that they didn't give Zedruu's deck Celestial Dawn, except Contamination is even worse.
I especially think it's funny that "Contamination" is fine and Oloro is "unfun" by your definition...
Just because Oloro and Derevi could be used as lock pieces doesn't mean they have to be anymore than Ghave, Marath, or Prossh has to be a combo. Pretty much any commander they print that's not generic beatdown will probably have some kind of nasty combo waiting on it. They actually went out of their way to avoid such things in the commander decks.

Yah, that is the issue at hand. If you stick a decent effect on a Commander, it will appear over and over and over. Something like Contamination, Celestial Dawnet al, at least you (usually) only have to deal with it once. That is how Oloro / Derevi is worse than Contamination (though, yes, there are arguments that a short, sharp spike of pain is worse than a lower, prolonged amount of pain).

There are huge difference between "let's put one hyped card in a deck" and "let's change our approach to Commander product, so we will make the decks that actually provide the player with the cards they will play, not will-have-since-they-got-nothing-else play". I mean the "golden way" between regular C and C'arsenal, so people will have an imperative to buy boxes (money => Wizards) and not singles from the boxes (money=> Starcity and friends). Wurmcoil, btw, didn't save the day - in our shop we still have three "Build from Scratch" resting on shelves, and no one ever asked for them, not even dedicated Tron / Karn fans.
C14 was printed in abundance so there wouldn't be supply issues like there were in the previous products - Wurmcoil definitely helped sell copies.
Not that I disagree that there should be way more playable cards and reprints in these. If we don't see Vindicate at the very minimum I'll be disappointed, since this is literally the perfect opportunity to reprint it. Not that that's saying much since they passed over Damnation in FtV:A...
Please guys, there's already a lot of speculation going on in other threads, let's keep this thread to already known information.
