Oh. Oh, these are sexy. Between all my decks, I might end up using this entire cycle. Especially the green one. A bad imitation of Myriad Landscape is still playable in Titania EDH, and this is far from bad.
Remember that this isn't *quite* an Explosive Vegetation on a land. You're giving up one land to get two, so its net effect is really closer to Harrow.
Ok but Diabolic edict or Shock are cheaper than Harrow. To should be the same for their effect added to a land.
Diabolic Edict and Shock stay relevant into the late game (when you start popping these lands), Harrow is near useless.
So then...I guess the question for me is are the Blighted lands good enough to make Sudden Reclamation a reasonable constructed card in Standard? Sac blighted gorge...Cast Reclamation returning Gorge and Den Protector. Play gorge...flip Den protector returning Reclamation...Or you could sub the Woodland for the gorge and advance your mana every cycle. Maybe its kitchen table type stuff, but the concept intrigues me.
But when it happens, it happens and you'll thank yourself for putting it in there. I think you're worrying too much about the downside, or you're making the downside seem bigger than it realistically is.
Not having enough red mana to cast your burn spells is a downside and not a small one. One of RDW main strengths is its speed. If you lose even one turn because you didn't have enough colored sources to cast things as needed, it can spell disaster.

Yeah, I mean, aren't you just better off playing Molten Vortex? It's not like this blighted land taps for R anyhow, so it's not that useful for RDW

It's not useless in converge decks to grab some additional colors. The green one should be a high pick if you're drafting the GU converge deck.
I was expecting those last five land slots to be just some plain, utilitarian ETB dual lands but these are some really creative designs. I can totally see myself slipping singletons of these into my decks for a little extra oomph.
If Blue Devotion, a deck that ran Nightveil Specter, could afford Mutavault, mist mono Red decks can afford to play a few copies of its Blighted land.
It's also worth noting that Red decks do have a habit of hitting more excess land drops now. Cards like Abbot of Keral Keep and Outpost Siege increase the likelihood if hitting those late lands higher, and increase the chance of having that extra mana.
I am not a fan of the red or the white land, but I can kinda understand why they were designed as such. I just wished the red one did either a little bit more damage or made into a Roast. That would would have been cool and flavorful.
That being said, I really love the blue and black lands. Definitely my favorites.
Myriad Landscape exists, so I wouldn't even say it's that unbelievable. (Although Myriad Landscape is a fantastic card) I'm really happy to see basically all of these printed except maybe the white one?

Check out the thread for my cube if you have the time, and tell me how terrible it is.
Generals meant to be drafted first in a single pack of 6 cards.
And here is the actual cube, meant to be drafted in 4 regular sized packs. (60 card decks)
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.

Do you think the green one could be used in modern scapeshift?

As a legacy lands player, I'm not exactly saddened by that.

Would this deck be interested in Shaman of Forgotten Ways?
