6 to use? 6 to use?! the hell? I get trying to have balanced Standard and sealed, but does that HAVE to mean that there just cannot be good cards? MM1 was a great draft format, one of the best ever, and it wasn't full of crap!
You want it to cost less than that? It provides 3 mana and/or 3 1/1 creatures. That is pretty good for 6 mana.
To be fair, Foundry of the Consuls provides 2 1/1 fliers that have artifact synergy and still count as colorless for those synergies for just 5 mana.
You are refunded 3 of the mana immediately when popping Bed, and it can be used to ramp into something larger or used for other purposes. 6 seems about right to me.

While I am fine with it being 6 mana, I think this is one of those cards that would cost 5 and a half mana if half mana existed.
I think there will be a monogreen ramp deck featuring 4 copies of this. It is both a mana sink and a ramp spell for minimal cost, it is miles ahead of foundry.

In ramp decks it is a lot better than Foundry, but as a utility land in normal decks it seems worse.
It doesn't enter the battlefield tapped and is one rarity level lower than I expected it to be considering the other trash rares we've had. Hell, I THOUGHT it was a rare at first based on comparative power level.
Boosts you from 7+ mana to 9+. Sacrifice it at end of turn, untap, use your Scions to cast something big. Could be playable if an explosive ramp deck takes off.
Or another way to say it is that it gives you +2 mana for the simple cost of having to wait till turn 7 AND losing a land.
Yeah, this is horrible outside of limited and even there it's far from amazing.
It's an instant speed 5/5 trampler for 4. Wtf do you people want seriously? It has applications in populate/ above the curve beats decks, or in Bant control/ flash. I seriously think anyone mad at this card for any reason other than losing an attacker to instant speed wurm, should go home and make their own awesome card game and leave the rest of us alone.

You can't possibly be serious comparing what a set should be to Modern Masters.
I don't expect it to be MM good, obviously that is silly. I just said that the set had a wonderful draft format without 99% being 'unplayable limited fodder'. It is lazy, and unless there are some very serious synergies with colorless, Devoid is the laziest mechanic since I started playing, and that includes megamorph. I have not seen a card that catches my attention for Modern since Pax. And I am not someone to only go for T1 cards. I play Stompy, I would love to just see an efficient green beater. Or good land search. When Myr Battlesphere came out, I was delighted, I still have my Myr deck. Desolation Twin came close, but just for Eldrazi tribal. The bar is low, and they fail to meet even that.

Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.

It kinda sorta does lol City of Ass
Many thanks to DNC at Heroes of the Plane Studios
To be fair, doesn't every colorless land?
Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.
Not really I had to cut a few, it is above average as a ramp effect for recast.
Unfortunately, once again, WotC has not run the card past a 15yo boy... Spawning Bed? Really?
