I really don't understand the rationale of judging a converge card based on two color decks. Radiant Flame is the only one that can be fully used by a tri-color deck. Even Bring to Light is underwhelming if you're only converging three colors of mana.
All these cards are meant to be played in 4C and 5C decks. And people still say R&D underestimates their player base intelligence LOL
As it is, controll magic effects are particular powerfull in Limited, but this has lots of drawbacks that they totally "could" have done this at uncommon easily.
Such cards are dissappointing simply because they dont really feel like they deliver enough to be a rare.
Rarity is 100% determined by how the card plays in limited and how complex the card is. And no, this card doesn't have enough drawbacks to be a uncommon. Maybe in a format were 4C and 5C were not a archtype and going 3 colors were already a big difficulty (like Origins) but this is not the case. In KTK you should expect 1 4C goodstuff player out of 8 drafters and BFZ have even more support for that deck in the form of powerful colorless creatures and convergence bombs that will fall in your lap.
What are you talking about?
Opponent drops a rhino, you take the rhino. Opponent kills the Rhino. Now you are up mana- and cardwise. This control magic is fine and alot better than the other ones that just fold to a Dromoka's command or can be just neutered otherwise.
Yes, you have to play 5 colors, but guess what: You have fetches and fetchable duals, you can make it happen! I think this card is playable, if there is a five colored controldeck.
I see this card and i see Switcheroo and Mind Control ; and my argument still stands, this could totally be uncommon, especially as this card is restricted to 5 power at the max and also fizzles if they increase the power of the creature (so in Dromoka's Command, the +1/+1 counter can totally wreck this card, you are not save at all, they even add counters from Abzan Charm, or use the new Gideon Emblem, so powerwise, this isnt even a "good" controll magic at all, especially as its not mono colored, this is essentially a 3+ color card at the least, and for that we can expect a hell lot more).
But if you are satisfied with it, go in peace, enjoy it.
Are people seriously expecting something out of the set? With full art basics, a new cycle of duals that can be fetched, enemy manlands and expedition lands to sell packs, of course 90% of the rares are going to be like this. I mean why put some effort on the rares when the packs are practically sold because all of this. Just be happy we got some interesting Eldrazi and your typical chase mythics.
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
This and the blue enchantment are so bad it's not even funny.
I rarely complain about the power level of cards, but I wouldn't even play those cards in kitchen-table casual and that's saying a lot.

And you can then sac the Godhead to return the stolen creature to its original stats. Using that combo, you can steal things as big as Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre or Kozilek, Butcher of Truth.
