Good for EDH. No I'm not just saying that to throw stuff at EDH players, I'm saying it because there's a lot of big creatures running around in the format.
Ulamog gonna get hedron trapped right before arriving at the Sea Gate Lighthouse!
Tazeem shall endure. My beautiful Halimar and its Kraken Hatchlings will persist and the babies will grow into big giant monsters of the deep that will survive my Whelming Waves and we will accompany eachother on my quest to return to Theros and obtain its krakens.
I like it, because I can use it in an ironic way in a Eldrazi stompy deck, using the smaller Eldrazi with power 4 or less (The ones with ingest), they'll be safe from this very card made to screw them; and hate it because it'll be worse than All Is Dust against the bigger Eldrazi, seems that Wizards is fearing that a deck might hardcast those 8 and more mana monsters again at turns 4-5 so they made this as a panic button.

Sort of. There are some groups that litter the table to with big creatures, but those are the groups that won't touch this because it'll kill all their creatures.

Oh good another year dominated by Abzan control. :/
This card won't see much standard play unless Eldrazi and dragonlords are everywhere, I mean 5 or greater power is just such a small subset of standard creatures its not even worth running. Even against decks that have quite a few big creatures like devotion to green at most your getting 2-3 creatures for 4 mana, that's really not a huge deal. You also might be dead if you wait until they have that 3rd or 2nd one before you cast this.
seems really good for abzan control it hits all the big stuff they cant deal with easy : - ojutai / eldrazi / atarka / butcher / dromoka / angler / pearl lake (sort of) / surrak
and abzan can use languish to clean up the smaller guys then dominate with their rhinos and tasigurs
It should have been for creatures with power 4 or greater so that it could actually do something against normal decks instead of just being a sideboard card.
Then you probably aren't playing in a group with a ton of big creatures - for this card to be good the arms race can't be in full effect.
You misunderstand. You could bring in a deck that has not a lot of big creatures (or that doesn't mind it's big creatures being exiled) to your friend's table of big creatures. Also, it's worth it if your opponents have more cards worth exiling than you. I wouldn't mind losing one or two creatures to exile a field of things I'd rather not let them have.

I understood. But a metagame where this is good won't last long because people will realize "Hey look at that guy playing effective answers 7-for-1'ing us" and will change fast. The first time I see someone playing "answers" in commander I know that I can't just play the highest CMC junk in my hand and swing for the fences.

I think it depends on the people you play with though. Either way, I don't think it's totally useless.
I don't like the direction thay the "art" of magic cards has been going lately, particularly this set. They don't look quite as artistic and look more like 3d models than pieces of art. I really wish that they would go back to a more painterly look, since one of the things that got me into magic in the first place was the fantastic art. For me at least, when it matters, I will go out of my way to obtain artwork for a card that I prefer over the other version

Fan of Both old and new Slivers (But the new ones are still better anyway)

My money's on Hedron Network, though they might have chosen to avoid using "network" in another card after Origins.
I thoroughly enjoy the Google Translate version of the title: <connecting surface crystalline style structure>
It can't be Hedron Network it doesn't fit the crunch

I liked that so much I sigged it
On topic: I really like this card, it may not be powerful but it's super flavourful witht eh whole "hedron prison" business.
Also, this is apparently a Deicide-level story moment. Ulamog is being trapped near Sea Gate. So much for tension...
Let this great clan rest in peace (2001-2011)
But will he be re-sealed or destroyed? Jace favors the latter from what we can tell, so there's that I suppose.

Totally agree. Lifeless bad CGI is running rampant. It's a HUGE turnoff to playing.
Feel free to bid on my cards here!

Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.
