Yeah, they've been really slow with the spoilers for the first week for some reason. Even UR didn't get one. Oh well, at least it's two pretty damn interesting mythics.
Probably because 30 or so cards were spoiled the the week before. Plus we had like 7 cards spoiled on other sites.
I wonder if the Eldrazi would see some play in MUD or maybe even 12-Post.
Yeah, it dies to StP, but it blanks Cryptic Command, Counterspell, Terminus, Supreme Verdict, Life from the Loam, Armageddon, Cataclysm, JtMS, Moat, etc. etc. Question is, can you get it out early enough to be relevant.
It also makes it so you can't block with Tarmogoyf, tokens, most Merfolk, half of Goblins, most of D&T.
Again, can you get it out fast enough to be relevant?
Just a quick ruling question, if I copy the elemental with lets say Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker, when the token is sacrificed can I exile it to get a second card back?
I don't think it'd work, tokens never go to the grave. I could be wrong though and it somehow works.
Tokens do go to the grave, they jsut get exile it when they hit it.Tokens do trigger "When enters the graveyard" clauses
The problem is that the card wouldn't be available for you to exile once it hits the graveyard, so you can't do it. At least you get the ETB trigger and a 5 power body with haste.
I'm pretty sure the main, if not only reason they picked the "Can't Even" instead of "Can't Odd" for Void Winnower is simply because of tokens (since all non-copy tokens are even). It'd be pretty anti-climatic to defy all physics to be stopped by plant tokens.

Force of Will's converted mana cost is 5. Just because its alternate CMC is effectively 0 doesn't change that.

Damnit, total brainfart, I knew better than that but thought it was six for some reason. Updated.

Yeah, that's why I traded away all of my copies back in the day. No one thought a 5 CMC counterspell was any good, especially when there was a UU counterspell available. You wanna talk about brainfarts...

I stand corrected. Maybe.....
Tokens do trigger on-death triggers, but this new card has an intervening "if" clause. The ability won't work, because by the time the trigger resolves and looks for something to exile, the token has already ceased to exist from the graveyard.
I think what makes the Eldrzi even more obnoxious is that it can really hurt token decks, as tokens can't block with that card out on the battlefield. Those weenie blockers become useless. Really weird, really awesome ability.
Um greenwarden is mythic? Are you sure wizards did not make a typo or print error of sorts? It needs trample to be mythic as a rare its fine. The winnower is very nice. Lets stop those rhinos and deathdealers and den protectors and all those flip jaces and other planeswalkers with 2 or 4 costs from being a problem!
Void Winnower is a card to pick up as a one-of, for sure. He'll be a relevant hoser against various decks that forget about him for years to come.
The Warden is less exciting, just because Eternal Witness exists in older formats and Den Protector in Standard. It's a good value guy, but paying 6 for value when you could be doing the same thing with 3-drops, or heck, just winning the game, seems like a weak prospect. Cards like Rally the Ancestors already generate a million cards worth of value for this cost; why would you play a card that's only worth two?
the green dude should have trample but its a 2 or 3 for one and decently costed. should see standard play. the eldeazi turns off 2 4 6 drops which is pretty huge.. but i doubt decks will want such an inconsistent effect over ulamog and the guy that reduces cost and searches

Excellent with See the Unwritten putting all that good stuff in your graveyard to choose from.
I don't like the Eldrazi, very vanilla as a creature and the ability doesn't stop 3CMC removal of which there is a lot.

Can someone please photoshop Uggs, yoga pants and a PSL onto this basic eldrazi?

Academy Rector uses similar wording and has been ruled similarly: http://www.mtgsalvation.com/forums/magic-fundamentals/magic-rulings/magic-rulings-archives/293800-academy-rector-tokens
That Eldrazi is very mean. Could lock opponent for the rest of the game. I hope both of these see daylight

Thanks everyone
Thanks to DarkNightCavalier from Heroes of the Plane Studios for this sick Signature.
