This card seems super bad. Combining Eldrazi Temple's restriction (though it can work on artifacts) with Temple of the False God's restriction (only WORSE) means this seems unplayable literally everywhere. Colorless EDH will run it, but that's a super niche thing.
Well, unlike temple of the false god, this at least can be used before there are enough lands in play for 1 colorless. Otherwise, yeah, this land is super meh.
I understand them not wanting another ancient tomb/workshop, but was 7 really necessary? Would this have been broken at 5 or 6?
I normally give a little bit more credit to card designers during spoiler season, considering it's all one big puzzle on how the set will play out. However, this card is actually bad. The only reason I can see this as rare is because of the "devoid" mechanic. It hasn't been mentioned yet, but this taps for 2 for all "devoid" creatures, not just colorless mana ones. There has to be a non-basic fetch theme here, otherwise, it only fits within an EDH environment as that's the only place I can see you getting to 7 lands for more than a turn or 2.
Really guys? There's a little mechanic called devoid, and all of those spells are castable with this, if this was uncommon, if you get more than one of this it gets ridiculous

Still, you need 7 lands to get full use. I could see it being busted with multiple copies on the field, but that would kill your mana base in terms of casting actual colored cards. In reality, how often do you expect to cast multiple spells with 7 lands out?
My Kozilek deck gets a lot of goodies this set. Don't know what Wizards was thinking to make this a rare. Perhaps earlier in development it was supposed to be much better? Like only requiring five lands? With Ugin and friends, it could have been too good?
Or maybe Wizards likes to make sure there's at least one rare everyone hopes to not open.
I don't think the restriction is completely unreasonable, considering in standard you can hit 7 lands before turn 7 with explosive vegetation, among other things.

But all of the devoid creatures so far cost less than 7 mana, and I'm sure if there is one or two that cost 7+ it won't make this land any better than it is now.
Costing les than 7 mana is not completely irrelevant, but still, casting 2 of them in a single turn is probably backbreaking, and then there are the colorless 8 to 10 mana eldrazis, which you really don't want to see as early as turn six (ir there's other ramp) or seven.
The card is weird, it does something different, and is very powerful in the right deck, it's rightfully a rare, if for nothing else for it's power level in limited.
No, it wouldnt. It means you have nine mana with 7 lands, which is cool but not broken given you're playing 2 colorless lands and you wasted 2 uncommon picks for this effect.
Two Sentinel of the Eternak Watch is ridiculous, not this.
Great art, cool flavor, but that restriction... Seven lands is definitely too much. Should have been six. Maybe even five. Five would have been very good and they were probably afraid of that. Six though should have been perfectly fine. Wizards seems to love to underpower their rares in this set.
C'mon guys... by now you should know Wizards' formula. Make a few chase rares, throw in a gimmick, and you have people rushing to make this set the best selling yet.
Usually "godforsaken" is a perjorative term, and this card will definitely be referred to with plenty of those. Temple of the Forsaken Garbage is a big step down from Eldrazi Temple and Eye of Ugin, to say nothing of the Urzatron lands or Temple of the False God. Here's the thing: this card is worse than a bunch of other lands that produce a lot of mana and none of them are even the good ones. If Gaea's Cradle is Tier 1 and Eye of Ugin is Tier 2, this card is Tier 3 unplayable jank. I would feel cheated to see one of these in a pack, be it in Limited or just cracking packs.

These days, some wizards are finding they have a little too much deck left at the end of their $$$.

Turn 4 explosive vegetation into this into a big Eldrazi? Maybe I'm thinking too hard. I wish they made the Eldrazi have hybrid symbols for their colored mana.

"The essence of every world, every spell and every thought is power. Nothing else matters, because nothing else exists."
That 7 land clause on top of the can only be used to play colorless spells killed me. Way too much restrictions for only a small amount of ramp. It can't even used for the abilities of colorless permanents too.
The flavor text says that the three gods worshiped by the merfolk as Ula, Emeria, and Cosi were actually mistaken memories of the three Eldrazi titans, Ulamog, Emrakul, and Kozilek.
Useful for colorless EDH and not much else.
We know this This is what was revealed right before Rise of the Eldrazi in 2010. Remember these two articles?:
Yeah, not saying it is new information, just sharing. I guess it's nice that they put it explicitly on a card for people who wouldn't know otherwise (at least one other person responding to my comment seems to be learning that for the first time).
This is neither particularly complex or gamebreaking in limited so why exactly is this a rare? Oh, right, to make it even more of a feelbad when you crack it in limited or just in a random booster. To me this set has completely lost it's appeal by now, I guess the best thing about it is the coming artbook.
I'm SO SICK of the "too strong for Standard" argument. It's the new "Dies to removal". We can have a two mana 4/4 with a zillion abilities, but we can't just have Accumulated Knowledge. Makes sense.

Such amazing art and flavor home run, only to be so restricted.
Hell, make it a Legendary Temple of the False god and call it a day. Why this. Still want though.

I'd like a foil one for the art, but I don't know how viable this is unless we get rampant growth/farseek.
