In theory it should because Cascade has similar wording.
Edit: This forum is complicated lol I meant to respond to Majikan and when I went to edit I thought i had to type on the bottom thing but that made me post another reply lol.
Not sure what to think about the new Man-lands. Looks weaker than the Allied-Manlands at first glance. Scythe Leopard is very, very weak and I hope the powerlevel of the rest of the cards is going to be higher.
Why don't you wait until we've seen more than one of them to make that judgement?
The new man land seems very good, particularly in control mirrors where it is very hard to deal with. Bring to Light is also a really cool design for converge (much more than Radiant Flames) and can see play across formats I think. Once you play three colors it is pretty close to Dark Petition (although much easier to cast) and the ceiling is much higher. In any case great card for EDH.
Are they trying to make 5 color decks possible? Because Converge seems rather weak. So if I were to cast this bring to light card and I am strictly green/blue... I search for something converted mana cost o two and that's it?
If I have rainbow mana I can cast something for 5?

To the people that say that a card needs to be a higher rarity because of Limited... I hate you guys so much. I present to you with this.

That's the idea yes. Coincidentally, Restore Balance and Living End have a CMC of 0, so make of that whatever you want.

My Commander decks:
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
20 power over 2 bodies for 10 mana, and it's called "kind of weak". How far we've come.
To be fair, we have Kalonian Twingrove nearing rotation having never been a real player in any deck and it is a cheaper, scaling version of Desolation Twin.
Cool thing to note about Bring to Light: By my reading, it doesn't require you to cast the tutored spell immediately. If the opponent backs off on the pressure, the Bring to Light player can find a Ruinous Path or Planar Outburst to just hold on to for free casting as needed.
Edit: I was wrong. Spelljack's wording would be used otherwise.

Yeah, but to be fair to Desolation Twin, that one requires forests and Twingrove never got to play with Shocklands. This guy will have a lot more ramp support and can work with all kinds of mana, so it has that going for him. And we don't know how much (if any) viable devoid/colorless support we're gonna get yet.

Well Kalonian Twingrove forces you to be Mono-Forests to function and can be countered fully. This is basically uncounterable 10/10 for 10 Which is a good rate. Also this has more synergies than the Twingrove did in it's year in standard. Neither of these cards are Dungrove Elder...

Doesn't it just get a card that costs two? Ooooooooooooooooh it you spent WBGU you get something better.
NICE!
Much better than I thought then!

The "Crazy One", playing casual magic and occasionally dipping his toes into regular play since 1994.
Currently focusing on Pre-Modern (Mono-Black Discard Control) and Modern (Azorious Control, Temur Rhinos).
Find me at the Wizard's Tower in Ottawa every second Saturday afternoons.
Seconded. You have to cast the spell. However even in a three color deck like Sultai, bring to light is pretty nuts. You can Sultai charm, grab deathmist raptor, bounding krasis, harbinger of the tides, ruinous path. That card plus woodland bellower makes a toolbox deck a possibility

I dont think so, that would require the wording as long as it remained exiled like spelljack
You guys are right, sorry. I got over-eager. Editing original post.

For one, the twin still lands even if the original is countered.
For another, Twingrove really required a monocolored deck to be viable. This slots in any color or color combination deck.
For yet another, Twingrove didn't already have support cards like Titan's Presence.
I, for one, will be thrilled if this becomes the dollarbin rare people think it will be though. I've been looking for worthwhile additions to a budget Tron deck.

10/10 and another 10/10 , seems pretty decent to kill some players.

Bring to Light HAS to be breakable somehow.
Desolation Twin is a massive beating if it ever gets cast.
I've been asking for Stasis Snare for years, though it only hitting creatures is still a little disappinting.
All in all, this is a really nice start to the spoilers.
Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.

To tell you the truth the card is probably going to be best as a simple toolkit card producing lots of value.
Sideboard into Stony Silence and Kataki. Ramp into one of my 4x Bring to Light and drop out the hate. Bring it on affinty decks.
Graveyard hate? Combo hate? I'll got it all with super tutor.
