When Magic Origins was released, three cards were supposed to be updated in Gatherer to include Scry. However, for some reason these cards weren't updated, and according to Matt Tabak, these cards did not officially have Scry yet. Gatherer has been updated, so everyone using Knowledge and Power can rejoice at the addition of three new cards to their toolbox: Soldevi Excavations, Darksteel Pendant, and Opt.
The interesting thing about Lifelink is that they started going back and errataing everything and then changed their minds halfway thru. This is why Exalted Angel in FTV: Angels still doesn't have Lifelink.

Exalted Angel does not have lifelink, it does have a similar but not quite the same ability than lifelink.
Darksteel Pendant not being printed with "Scry" seems odd considering Scry was originally a Mirrodin keyword.
It was a 5th Dawn mechanic which was the last block of the format. Its possible that its design was done before scry as a keyword was really settled on.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.

Edit: Nevermind, unaware of all the history behind this apparently lol.
Loxodon Warhammer was printed in Tenth with "Lifelink" when Lifelink meant what Exalted Angel has. Then, when M10 came around and they changed how Lifelink worked, every card PRINTED with Lifelink got updated to the new functionality, while every card printed with Tenth Lifelink spelled out (like Exalted Angel) kept the original wording.

Warhammer is kind of an oddity as it's literally the only card to get the Lifelink errata treatment. But WotC had to choose between maintaining the most-recently printed functionality or the originally-printed functionality (which would also mean never being able to print the card again), and their policy is to stick to the former.
It's certainly not the weirdest case of multiple errata out there. Ask any older player about Winter Orb and how it should work versus how it does work, and you'll get an earful.

While this change is obviously made to make the game more streamlined, I don't think it achieves that, but just the opposite. I don't like it how you need to know the Oracle wordings of everything. Is this a standard practice now, to retroactively update old cards with new mechanics?
It is if the new mechanic is evergreen. Thus Goblin War Drums now granting Menace (among many other cards).
6th ED also had some weird ones were they just did random changes to old cards like: Castle and Flying Carpet, although to be fair on Castle at the time of that change the creatures that didn't tap when attacking could be counted by a few fingers.
Weirder than that is the story of Mono Artifacts, and how Winter Orb had hidden text that shut it off when tapped for many years, which was only recently removed.
When the game began, there were three types of artifacts: Mono Artifacts required that you tap them to use their ability, even though they would not explicitly spell this out. Poly Artifacts had an activated ability that did not require tapping. Continuous Artifacts had an ongoing effect as long as they were untapped. The general theme though was that all artifacts only "worked" while untapped, and this continued past when the Mono/Poly/Continuous distinction was removed. Of course, this caused a lot of issues, because what do you do about effects like Tawnos's Weaponry, which have an ongoing effect while tapped and an ability that lets you choose not to untap it? How about Mana Vault? There was a huge list of problems with this rule, and they were mostly just ignored.
Come Sixth edition, this rule was done away with. However, it was decided at the time that three cards would keep the "Continuous" functionality and only function while untapped - Static Orb, Howling Mine, and Winter Orb. The first two saw reprints with this text, while the third did not. So in a recent Oracle update, Winter Orb had this text removed.

Get out.
And its even more intuitive for older formats.
Completly unnecessary and just irritating.
But well, not the first time ...
