As of now, the set has Drana, Ulamog & friends, three highly playable planeswalkers, man-lands, real dual lands, full-art lands, the one in a million expedition lottery and it has 'Zendikar' in it's name. I think that's enough even without a blatantly obvious chase rare/mythic.
I'm SO SICK of the "too strong for Standard" argument. It's the new "Dies to removal". We can have a two mana 4/4 with a zillion abilities, but we can't just have Accumulated Knowledge. Makes sense.
I'm pinning my hopes for this set on this card. The only other card that has me any sort of excited is Bring to Light, in terms of deck-building possibilities. If this turns out fake, I might just end up buying singles of this set, which is not something I have ever done.
Sorry for the little aside, but what's wrong with just buying singles of the cards you actually want. You still open a bunch of packs and play with the cards during prerelease and release. And maybe it's a fun format to draft in.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with buying singles, but I much prefer cracking packs instead. With the ridiculous amount of chaff at Rare that has been spoiled so far, I don't like my odds of getting that satisfying feeling of opening a playable rare.
Given the rarity crunch I think it's safe to say that this card isn't real. Actually I think this card was a misremembering of From Beyond It automatically creates a scion instead of pay. (It's possible this was a playtest version that the guy saw)
But didn't almost any Set, even the weak ones like Theros or Dragons maze, got at least one chase rare/mythic?
We haven't seen the one for this set yet, so I´m still hoping.
IMO, for BFZ the chase cards are supposed to be the lands.
I will be indeed surprised if this weak set doesn't have a single non-land chase mythic/rare to prop it up. That would be a new precedent
