Ok this confirms our 5 planeswalkers. Those 4 and Ob. All colors then.
I would love it if Zendikar gets destroyed and they give a oath to fight until their last breath for the other planets. Though this could happen even if Ulamog loses and they continue for the next titans. Pretty epic name i have to admit.
They can easily be. Those will be the ones to get a walker card in this block. At least what i believe.
Ugin will be the mind behind the curtains and Sorin has other affairs in his mind as it seems. I agree that Kiora seems to have been forgotten for a reason.
Wow the name of the set doesn't really roll of the tongue.
I'm also tired of the Planeswalkers. Wizards keep shoving them down our throats and 90% of the people never even open one.

I have opened on average at least one planeswalker from each 36 boosters (i.e. a display box) I have opened for any given large set. Want planeswalkers? Play draft or open boosters.

It's about time for the reserved list to die, for the sake of Vintage and Legacy (And Commander).
I think Kiora will show up as a PW card in this block at some point, the average number is not a rule, it can be more for some blocks, They have said a focus is being given to those that were in origins so it is no surprise to see so many of them. Heck Kiora could be in this set BFZ still and Nissa may not arrive until the next, or could be the other way around. I do so want a new kiora though.
It would appear Zendikar makes it. However it may still not. As TheGunsmasha said, Zendikar could have been destroyed and the oath is to protect other planes until their last breath. Or they make an oath to fight for as long as possible but their effort is futile and the plane is destroyed.

I find it very funny that the only planeswalker card of Ob Nixilis we currently have is named 'Ob Nixilis of the Black Oath'. Seems he might indeed be the fifth member of the oath party.
The Black Oath references a pact with a demon he made on his home plane prior to him becoming a walker that wiped out all life on the plane but him.
Also it's still possible for Kiora to show up. There have been 6 walkers in a block twice. M15 where we got big scary Garruk and in the first Zendikar block. I think with the needs of the story here they'd be willing to slide an extra walker in.

not really in sorin's mind, ugin all but threatened to murder him if he showed up without nahiri again.

My reason for thinking Zendikar makes it:
- Background details show healthy Zendikar.
- Hedrons looks intact and functional.
- Planeswalkers seem happy rather than fighting/distressed.
- Zendikar was a successful set, BFZ looks like it's going to be a super-successful set, why kill the cash cow?
The Magic team certainly are capable of sets with unhappy endings ( Scars block especially, but Theros and Khans block were left on a kind of a sad note, too ), but given the original Zendikar block left with an unhappy end, I suspect they'll try to give an upside for this one, too.

I actually want the Eldrazi to win. I like them more than these planeswalker characters or pretty much most things in Magic. It's about time the bad guys win again. Although, I don't consider the Eldrazi to be the bad guys because I like them. I loved New Phyrexia's and Tarkir's endings. It's just interesting to not have a story where the good guys always prevail. That doesn't represent reality.

Wut? In Zendikar block the bad guys pretty much won. In Scars block the bad guys won. In Innistrad the good guys started out losing and came up to reasonable parody. In Theros... well I don't think anyone won but I'd call Heliod a bad guy and he won. In Khans block some might call the dragons bad guys and they won(I side with the dragons). I mean with the exception of Ravnica the good guys have done nothing but lose for the last like 6 years at least.

"It's about time the bad guys win again." Is a joke I'm making. The bad guys win all the time in magic. It's one of the reasons why I like the story so much. I normally side with the bad guys too because I like dragons, monsters, and cool creatures way more than humans (which tend to be the good guys). My sarcasm doesn't translate well in text.

I've opened a bunch of Planeswalkers and I don't even draft or buy sealed product, I just get stuff from prize pools locally. Just luck, I guess!

Theros is a bitter victory with Elspeth beating Xenagos but she ends up dead in the end.
