Hmm I wonder if they will have actual puzzles to solve like Legacy Elves or Storm combo? Maybe Doomsday? Or will there be attacking with scathe zombie to attract all the Standard pre-teens?
Lol while we can hope they add actual puzzle elements, it is more accurately named magic: make some matches that might do something. Once you beat the origins story line and conquer the 5 walkers available, there is nothing else at the moment. Definitely hoping for more content in a more up to date version.
I played a few hours of this on my Android tablet.
It seems unfinished: a few times I saw placeholder text for error/alert messages.
Also several times my AI opponent stopped playing, forcing me to quit to proceed.
Once after failing a stage three times I beat in on the fourth, and was awarded a prize for beating it 5 times.
I've never had any flyers, but the stage that had a prize for beating without using flyers didn't give me the prize when I beat it.
Reordering spells is really fiddly.
It's unclear whether ETB effects should happen when you play a creature you already have out. It doesn't seem to be possible to stack tokens, which is odd.
Deck building is a horrible experience. The interface is awkward, and counter-intuitive.
The music gets repetitive very quickly.
Also playing planeswalker Chandra against kid Chandra is kinda weird. Losing is just embarassing
It's apparently in "soft launch" right now, where it's available in some territory and not others. This happens pretty often for mobile games as a way to get pseudo-"beta testing" in smaller regions.
i have play it extensively this last week. my score is a meager 6/10. it's okay. it's still so buggy and glitchy its not funny. but at least it give u some itch to scratch when you are outside and cant play magic.
Wizards print good rares, players complain about cash grab. They print underwhelming rares, players complain that the cards suck. They spoil the best cards first, players complain about the insane prices of preorders. They spoil the meh cards first, players complain that this is the worst set ever.
So. I think I understand now.
As far as these forums are concerned, WotC can never do anything good because:
Card that is new and probably good = "pushed"
Card that is new and probably bad = "EDH/casual fodder"
Card that is a reprint = "lazy"
Card that is a better version of an older card = "power creep"
Card that is a weaker version of an older card = "worthless"
Like I posted earlier, it's a decent game that obviously needs serious work for a fair launch. The mechanics and logic engines are not the best and the game is no where near finished for a hard launch. Just keep fingers crossed that they won't scrap it. Though I do find it funny you can purchase in app while the game isn't technically released hahah
I played the marvel version of PQ for a while, but got incredibly sick of how much of a timesink it was. I've literally never seen a game with so little actual content try to stretch it so thin. I imagine this game is basically the same?
I was incredibly unimpressed with D3's money-grubbing with MPQ. No video game I've ever heard of is worth the multiple-thousands-of-dollars it takes to compete at a high level, and the fact that they devote most of their development time to enabling exactly that kind of approach to the game disgusts me. I'm not a fan of *Hearthstone's* whale-centric approach to releases (at least with the non-PvE content), but MPQ was many times worse: much less actual content, and much more expensive, either in terms of time or money, to actually have a shot at getting to play it.
Been playing this for the last week or so since it showed up in the IOS store.
Seems fairly fun, there is alot of work to be done though, seems to be lots of buggy parts like achievements for story quests that don't work or trigger when you didn't meet the requirements. Others just seem downright impossible to do (cast 20 creatures when there is no real way to extend out the game or have much control over what your creatures do, one of the players will be long dead before that happens)

It is interesting that it was launched it in Australia, I'm still waiting for it to show up in the App Store here in the USA (assuming that the location you have put on your profile is the Brisbane in Australia).

We get a few things here before the US, I think Australia/New Zealand is a pretty popular testbed for alot of IOS stuff, we probably just have the right size population for this kind of stuff. I remember Hearthstone launched on IOS here a few days before alot of other places too.
Heh, I too am from the land down under, hence my access to the android version.
And I also tried out the Marvel version the day after trying this, and removed it after a few hours. It teases a lot of future unlockable content, but promises a lot of repetitively boring grinding and waiting to get to it, unless you pay for it. And then all you can do with the new stuff you've obtained is play the same match-3 game you're long since bored of.

so many bug and glitch it's not even funny
and if you guys want to play it nevertheless, my suggestion is play chandra.

Decent update to the game today, fixes a heap of the issues I had with it, deckbuilding is a heap better and the interface has seen a heap of improvement.
If its not out in the US yet, it should at least be alot better than what we got to begin with, lol

They seem to have toned down how much of the currencies you get compared to when it originally released as well as needing far less to level the planes walkers.
So I dumped all I had into Lilliana who is now level 39 and feels so overpowered, lol, her discard ability is really strong.
Its getting far better now than it was originally thats for sure.
Just got to play this game. I guess what people say that this game still being a baby is pretty warranted:
1) The game seems to be running on low FPS for a relatively simple interface, not to mention occasional unresponsiveness.
2) While it's kinda fine for creatures to be your main winning force (I mean, out of the myriad of recent TCGs I've played, such as Hearthstone, Solforge and Duel of Champions, none of them give you a reliable way to win without creatures), I hate 2 things about it: Your deck MUST contain things other than creatures, which leads to: Lack of mulligan will cost you the match when the first five cards you draw are noncreatures (this really strikes me as very bizarre: Mulligan is one of Magic's most important mechanic; where the hell is it?
3) What happens if you have multiples of a certain card in your collection?
Still, overall it's a fine game to play. It does feel like growing your collection will be a nightmare (because normal packs don't always contain rares, as well as that the way they handle the daily login reward is damningly merciless if you forgot to login on Christmas), but between the shared board and rearrange-able cards, the game has promise. Here's hoping Wizards can expand on it better.

Does not show up in any Google Play searches using any key words. I guess it's their fault for poor search tags?
Edit: upon further inspection, maybe this is why: (attached image). WTF is going on if it's not compatible with anything?

Not that this would stop anyone sufficiently determined, of course...
