I've always wondered: Why can't they print a Commander fetch land? Something like
" T: Sacrifice ~ search your library for a Plains, Island, Swamp, Mountain, or Forest card and put it onto the battlefield. Then shuffle your library. Only activate this ability if you control your commander."

3WWU, 2GWW, and 4RWW! These were the mana costs chosen to summon the perfect little angel! But Professor Avacyn accidentally added an extra ingredient to the concoction! Chemical x Thus, the Powerpuff Girls were born! Using their ultra super powers, Gisela, Bruna, and Sigarda have dedicated their lives to fighting crime and the forces of evil!
The commander decks have been pretty solid from the get go. There is always one that is the standout but as a gateway into the format they are fantastic and there are usually enough goodies for us old folks who are established in the format. My wish for this round would be a good cycle of rare lands reprints or otherwise. Eventide filters would be my choice but i doubt that will happen. I don't think they would go Odyssey Filter as i remember reading they don't like printing lands that don't produce mana themselves.
Personally, I'm hoping for the INN Checklands. They're not too expensive to reprint in something like this (the way that the ZEN fetches are), but they're still a few bucks higher than they ought to be. This would be a great way to get more into circulation, and they'd fit perfectly into these decks.
It would be amazing if they previewed the OOTG slowlands, but I think that's more of a pipe dream.

Considering you can only run one, you could even just say "if you started the game with a card in your command zone" I mean command tower is the absolute best mana fixing land.

" T: Sacrifice ~ search your library for a Plains, Island, Swamp, Mountain, or Forest card and put it onto the battlefield. Then shuffle your library. Only activate this ability if you control your commander."
I hope they never print this. I don't think I would ever play a land that required my commander to be in play to do anything.
Now it if also had "T: add one colorless mana to your mana pool" it would be fine.

What about T, Sac pay 1 life: Search your library for a card with a basic land type that matches your commanders colors? Command tower is a card so why not this?

I think there is a whole area of lands that would never be appropriate for standard, aren't to scary for legacy, and could see lots of play in casual or cube if they leave off the 'commander' text
Some sort of evolving wilds for any land that is a mountain, forest, island, plains, or swamp and put it into play tapped. The tapped feature would make it from doing bad things in legacy, but super cubable.

That's a simple and effective design that should be fine for Legacy, yeah. It'd basically be a universal Mirage fetch for EDH. I like the idea. I hope they print it but I doubt it.
I think cards that like being played in Commander are fine for products built around Commander. I actually liked most of the lieutenant creatures from last year's set personally.
Or it could simply say "only activate this ability if your commander is in your command zone" (not sure if in a 1v1 game of Commander there is 1 or 2 command zones) that way it's the same as a fetch land that are in high demand these days, but not at all that sought after.

Enemy Bad River cycle seems like a no brainer to me.
I would like to Wizards to do something cool, like start introducing choice foils ala Clash Packs for aficionados to enjoy.
Clash Pack foils are valued similar to their nonfoil counterparts because of their ubiquity. They aren't rare or special, they just happen to be foil. Over the past few years, WOTC has looked at some of their favorite cards from the Commander releases and made them into Judge foils, which allows them to still be special.

I would like Wizards to keep their awful foil cards out of products that I actually want to buy.
Especially the worthless ones that I can't even trade 1 for 1 for nonfoil versions.
It'd be cool if they would reprint Maze of Ith at some point (with the original art).
I'd like to see an Orzhov Stax General. When X happens each player sacrifices (or chooses and exiles) Y. Kinda like Braids, Cabal Minion but slightly different somehow.
If you pay attention to what Wizards chooses to reprint, the completion of the Mirage Bad River cycle seems pretty likely.
- They were recently reprinted in Vintage Masters.
- A few have appeared in Duel Decks: Grasslands in Knights vs. Dragons, Flood Plain in Venser vs. Koth, and Rocky Tar Pit in Zendikar vs. Eldrazi (the most recent entry).
They must consider these to be in-demand for some amount of their audience if they keep making them available. The only logical guess would be Commander players.

On MTGO as Protoman.
On 7/14/10, broke 1900 mark! <3 ROE.
They are great because they are unique fixing, work well for people with facny duals (including the new battle duals, shocks, and abu duals) and they only take an uncommon slot. I consider them the second best non-rare cycle after the manlands and they just finished those.
The commander set would be the perfect place for them but I would love to see them in standard. Unfortunately I am guessing we wont get the Zen fetches reprinted for another year, then they will let standard be without fetches for 2 years, then maybe we can have these. Way more interesting than pain or buddy again.
I think they are a little unlikely to finish this in commander due to that eating up 5 of the new card slots without being 'Exciting' but they would be exciting to die-hards so who knows? And at least they are uncommmon so more likely than the fast lands.

Lieutenant is a creature mechanic that only works if you have a commander. I'm sure they could slap it on to a bunch of things. Personally I'd rather they didn't, that way parasitic cards aren't printed so often.
What if it was simply:
"Tap, Remove ~ from the game: Search your library for a basic land card and put it into play. Use this ability only if you control a legendary creature."

Because that would be a worse evolving wilds. Do u mean search "Choose a legendary permanent. Search your library for a land card that produces mana of the chosen legendary's colour"?
Evolving Wilds puts the card into play tapped. Yamahako's design does not.

I was thinking about something along the same lines, I'd like to see a Phyrexian Obliterator or High Priest of Penance in the command zone. Basically anything that punishes my opponents if I can get a Pariah effect going on it.
I'm hoping the decks will be good. I've been thinking about getting into Commander since it seems like a better casual format than traditional mtg and would love to play izzet. The commander 2014 decks didn't seem too impressive outside of the white equipment one, though the red deck did come with a wurmcoil engine.

1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!
Pfft, just make it simple. Tap, pay 1 life, sac: search for a basic and put it into play. Then put one in each deck, so one isn't more expensive.
Or a new wasteland would be cool. Tap, sac: destroy target land without a basic land type. Keeps duels of all sorts alive as well as basics. Gets rid of crap that needs to go.
It would be a pretty cool surprise to have the enemy fetches reprinted in these upcoming commander decks. At the very least it will sell a ton of decks.

Considering they did not put full face lands in the BFZ intro decks for fear of them getting purchased by people looking for value I think it is a very safe bet that no value lands will be reprinted for precons
