It's not like cards that have been decried as fake in the past turned out to be real in the end. I wouldn't pass judgement this quickly. It's probably just not a very good photo.
My six-year-old felt the same way, so he made his own. "Sparaken the Nightmare." Pretty sure he's eating an elephant.
I'm wondering if the conspicuous absence or any B/W angels in FTV: Angels means we'll see them here instead. I guess that'd mean clerics, which I'm very okay with.
That is a totally hilarious post, thanks. I love how he wrote '5 and 5' for power/toughness. He is actually quite correct grammatically on the proper way to say something like that!
There isn't much spider tribal, and if you look at spiders, you see...there are 42 spiders and three non-spider cards that produce spider tokens. Most of them are things I wouldn't even play in limited. A couple pass only because they have cycling or some variant thereof. Then you have ones like Goliath Spider and Grappler Spider that make players quote the Nerd: What were they thinking?

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!

The screams of the fallen fuel my righteousness.
Would fulfill both the tribal wishes, and the wish for a BW commander that wants to grind/control.
I like it. It's a little basic but there's nothing wrong with that.
I'm kind of hoping for the Black/White deck to be a tax deck that revolves around enchantments and creatures that pin down your opponents and extort them.
Also, where did the tribal idea come from? Did they say it was tribal and I missed it?

I promise, if I find out he's using counterfeit cards, 1) he's in for a long time-out and 2) I'm vacating his wins against me.

Get LEVIATHAN, a novel of half-angel giants fighting prehistoric monsters in the world before the Flood, here, or get the Kindle edition here.
Almost all the best clerics are in this color pair, and I think there is a lot of room for what this could do. Maybe something like: "tap three clerics you control, search your library for x" type of thing. Clerics are not about brawn and +1/+1 lords.
WR: Soldiers
A lot of support for this tribe exists already, but there isn't a general that actually makes you want them around. Someone else mentioned on this or the other thread that Assemble The Legion as a commander would make perfect sense, and I agree.
RU: Thopters
Okay, I realize that historically, wizards or something like that would be much more appropriate, but I find the new artifact synergies released in origins more exciting than any tribal association Izzet had before. Weirds would be my other choice.
UG: Hydras
This seems the weakest... but Simic itself doesn't seem to have a strongly associated creature type, the most numerous seem to be Wizards or Beasts. I'd like to see something actually dedicated to Magic's stompy battlecruisers.
GB: Elves
This is boring, but what else could it be? There is so much support for elves in this color pair already.
Maybe we'll see a B/W general that isn't really bad, that color combination really needs some help in the commander department.
What's wrong with Teysa?
Imo RW is the most unsatisfying combo. Yes, they have quite a few options, but they almost all follow roughly the same strategy, and none of them have any equipment synergy for some reason. Please, wizards, give me a RW commander that tutors equipment named "sunforger"...
I'd also like to see what GU offers. So far most of them are either bad or predictable.
Either way, though, I'm excited. 2-color decks are my favorite to build.

(design by TheDrB, Sorry I don't know how to put that heading on the quote)
I really like this design! I think you could get away with a little more on a flashy commander for a new product though. If you add pro black and white it ties it back to the original Knights and protects it from pesky paths and dismember effects. I think it could have that and keep the same stats.
2 mana for a 6/5 with trample is pretty decent, but still dies to removal. The tokens are decent as well, but are killed by mass removal and bounce. Probably first pickable in limited and fringe playable if it was in standard atm.
just kidding, this is outright ADORABLE! Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. See that wizards? Free market research - players want a legendary spider that feasts on elephants.
I'm SO SICK of the "too strong for Standard" argument. It's the new "Dies to removal". We can have a two mana 4/4 with a zillion abilities, but we can't just have Accumulated Knowledge. Makes sense.

I love how it has Trample, but not reach - you are what you eat!
Unfortunately they set sort of a more modern setting faeries as UB and I really doubt they would change it. For the most part they really dont shift colors on newer stuff and they have established black as a color of faeries.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
I hope they don't go too much into tribal decks. Tribal deck are generally boring because rely on their internal synergies and just fold when you take that away. Cards like the new elf lord from origins is really boring design.
I was trying to limit ones that were already part of cycles. As you can see, it's harder than it looks; in fact, GU's legends are all part of cycles.

Can the G/U tribe be Frog Lizards? Or Fish/Crabs? I guess I'm asking for Mutant tribal. Is it too much to ask for Lizards, Fish, Crabs and Frogs you control get a +1/+1 counter on each upkeep and are ublockable?

At the beginning of your upkeep, you may put a +1/+1 counter on target creature you control. That creature is a mutant in addition to its other types, can't be blocked this turn, and has 'At end of turn, return this creature to its owner's hand.'
Checked off all the boxes. Just ignore the bounce/ETB shenanigans...

UR Melek, Izzet Paragon or Jhoira of the Ghitu I'm happier with Melek; circumventing mana cost is generally something I choose to avoid. (Copying can be broken too, circumventing mana cost produces things like affinity, not to mention its inherent synergy with storm.)
BG Glissa the Traitor or Nath of the Gilt-Leaf The logic here is simple: I wanted to avoid tribal, and BG gives me plenty of options outside of Ravnica legends and Theros gods.
