There is no Raven Man. They had art for the Raven Man in Uncharted Realms. Where is Raven Man!?
I noticed that as well, perhaps he has a card in the next Commander product.
It looks like they made a few arts only for the story articles, such as Chandra in the carriage with her parents, Jace getting bullied, or Heliod handing the spear to Gideon.
I can certainly understand events not showing up in cards, but it does seem odd, to me, showing an art for a character and them not getting a card.
I'm also a little disappointed that the Raven Man artwork didn't appear on a card.
Also, it seems strange to me that only three of the main planeswalkers received legendary artifacts related to their stories.

I collect Legendary cards, Planeswalkers, and Sagas.
Current count of different Legends: 1314
Current count of different Planeswalkers: 213
Current count of different Sagas: 44
Jace has like... no help to get him to flip. Chandra has her burn spells of different kinds, Liliana had Flesh bag Marauder, Nissa has land lamp, Gideon has his weenies and the rare token generator. Jace had nothing... except maybe Days Undoing... at mythic.
Anyways, Swift Retribution looks nice for a UW Control deck. Less color-intensive than Celestial Flare. Calculated Dismissal is also DEFINITELY going to get played.
Why would you want to flip Jace quickly? I think his creature side is better than the plainswalker side for limited. Free looting is practically drawing a card, plus getting 5 cards in the yard isn't that tough even without help.

I think the point was that the other walkers got a high profile "Ignition" card that looks designed specifically to help them flip, but Jace's seems non-existent. I don't think it has much to do with limited.
Really? This is a super frowned upon method of grammer.
Erebos' Titan would have been fine.

I fear I won't have much time to play Magic these days.
I get to watch worlds develop around me.
I get to watch great leaders, terrible oppressors, and trend setters rise and fall.
Limited, Standard, Modern, everything is a different playing field I feel I can observe, but will not actually touch.
I look forward to the stories I will hear.
And more so to the ones I will watch unfold first hand.
Isn't the unknown exciting?
Gather the Pack... interesting card. Too many creatures and it's hard to trigger Spell Mastery. Too many spells and it's hard to hit two creatures. That said it helps feed it's own ability, so I think it will be very good.
Ghirapur Aether Grid... affinity may have some interest in this card. It would be sick in the mirror.

If the Vikings were around today, they would probably be amazed at how much glow-in-the-dark stuff we have, and how we take it for granted.
I love how they re-printed a lot of bad ass modern cards for this "core" set. Also probably one of the most beautiful and well made sets I've seen since I started playing, it has bountiful flavor, interesting archetypes and a lot of awesome spells.

I see. Wonder what that would even look like and be worth a card. You mill 5 they mill 10 draw a card?
In green gather the pack pretty much does it though I guess it's not in "ignition" flavor... or blue
I thought card counting mechanics *cough*spellmastery*cough* were too complex for our precious players so threshold rated an 8 on the storm scale. lol.
Really? This is a super frowned upon method of grammer.
Erebos' Titan would have been fine.
I disagree. To me this is the correct grammar. I think it's clearer to put 's on every word, even if it might be awkward to say. Erebos' looks like the possessive form of multiple instances of a thing called Erebo, if you ask me. But I don't think there's a consensus on the subject, so I'm ok either way that they do it.
The set might not have a high power level, but there's a ton of cards I want to brew with and a few sweet reprints. Turn to Frog staying for a while makes me happy.
Frowned-upon by whom? I've always preferred adding the "s" in all cases. Why would deviation from the norm be a bad thing, in grammar? Aren't exceptions more frowned-upon?
Now if you want to talk about the subject-verb agreement on creature cards depicting multiple entities...
Psychic Rebuttal gets my vote for favorite card this set. Most interesting counter at two cost we've seen in recent memory. Great for decks like UWx Midrange where you can stop a killspell, and flip it on them. Or yank a Lingering Souls.

Edit: I never thought I'd see Macabre Waltz reprinted. Not with the old art, at least. Bloody beautiful.

I always thought s' is only used to signify possession of a plural noun (i.e. the cats' litter box).
It would be like saying "It is Dennis' turn to kick the ball."
Still happy with the set overall. Several cards I want for my EDH decks, that doesn't happen often.
UBBreya's Toybox (Competitive, Combo)WR
RGodzilla, King of the MonstersG

UBLazav, Dimir Mastermind (Competitive, UB Voltron/Control)UB

The only exception given for singular nouns are ancient proper names that end is -es or -is, or Jesus. Quite literally.
Now, if they had decided to use this exception, Erebos would probably slide in fairly well.
Eyeblight Massacre: Wrath Of Elves! The elves sure are unpleasant in this set.
UTeferi, Temporal ArchmageU's prison: blue is the new orange is the new black.
Mizzix Of The Izmagnus : wheels on fire... rolling down the road...
BSidisi, Undead VizierB: Bis zum Erbrechen
GTitiania, Protector Of ArgothG: Protecting Argoth, by blowing it up!
GYisan, The Wanderer BardG: Gradus Ad Elfball.
Duel EDH: Yisan & Titania.
In Progress: Grand Arbiter Augustin IV duel; Grenzo, Dungeon Warden Doomsday.
Now if you want to talk about the subject-verb agreement on creature cards depicting multiple entities...
Eyeblight Massacre will certainly see sideboard play out of the inevitable elf deck.
I think Dark Dabbling is deceptively useful. Certainly strong in limited, if nothing else.
Swift Reckoning and Psychic Rebuttal have already been mentioned, but I agree with both those. Very solid effects for 2 mana.
I'm not getting the Sword hype unless it's an EDH thing.
I'm not going to jump the shark just yet, but i am going to dust off my armageddons.
