Tragic Arrogance is a nonland destroying Cataclysm, for many of my deck I have been waiting for something like that, cause Mass Land Destruction is against the rules in my casual circle. Artificer's Epiphany is a divination with flash with the downside if u have no artifact.
Wow, the thopters. I know M15 tried to do an artifact theme, but I thought it basically fell flat. These are great, that blue guy who makes two thopters seems pretty strong, and the UR artificer seems decent. And chief of the foundry? Artifacts have a real shot of being standard playable. But hopefully not too playable, I want to get these for cheap...
I'm genuinely surprised the Chief isn't a rare. Pleasantly surprised, but still surprised. (It also curves into Thopter Spy Network nicely.) Mildly disappointed Reclusive Artificer can't hit players, but ETB removal is still nice. The Gearcrafter is mostly a better Seller of Songbirds (2/1 vs 1/2, token also interacts with artifacts-matter cards), for whatever that's worth. Actually seems like a pretty nice limited card. Epiphany is a genuinely good card in artifact decks, and Arrogance is a fixed...uh...that one Weatherlight-related White boardwipe. Hits planeswalkers, doesn't hit lands. Also, you get to choose the targets, unless I'm reading it wrong, which is much better. Good card. Oh, and Whirler Rogue's fun with Renown creatures: guarantees they can still trigger later in the game.
(The Thopter tokens are sweet, too. And there are two of them! Josu isn't the Zombie token - guess he's somewhere else. The Angel, Elemental, Goblin, and I think the Soldier tokens haven't had their sources revealed yet. Curious what they'll be tied to.)
That blue rogue looks really cool. I like the take on making it an unblockable creature that can share out its unblockability to other creatures. If you encounter spot removal you still get some buddies out of it. That card looks incredibly strong in limited.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
Tragic Arrogance is sweet and that it doesn't affect planeswalkers is also cool
The rest of the cards are all quite decent as well. I should be able to make a less powerful, more casual version of Sydri for EDH with a lot of this set which my casual meta will likely appreciate
Artificer's Epiphany is better than Divination given artifacts in play, that's a pretty big deal. It really makes me want to play an artifact-heavy control deck. Darksteel Citadel into counters, Epiphany on end steps, and Thopter Spy Network as an engine/chump block generator/win condition, anybody?

Formerly Angrypossum over at the now-defunct WotC forums.
I love the artifact theme here, but it seems like all of the good cards (Thopter Spy Network, Pia and Kiran Nalaar, Whirler Rogue, Reclusive Artificer) are at the four drop slot, which is hawkward.

Lemme guess, bunch of green ramp players in your meta?
Anyways, ffs Wizards enough with the damn thopters, holy crap.
The white "wrath" is pretty awesome, I approve.
Nothing else stands out to me.
Hope we see the dimir card soon.
Anyone else disappointed that the zombie token is just a reprint rather than something more flavorful for Liliana, like her brother?
Like the emblems. Jace looks cool, Lilly is soooo hot this set, better than of the Veil even.
When I first read Tragic Arrogance I thought it was another flavor of Cataclysm; then I looked at it again, and saw that it says "For each player, YOU choose" what isn't sacrificed. That's a spicy meatball!

I'm pretty happy that modern control finally got an instant speed draw 2 cards, discard a card effect.
Remember that Thirst for Knowledge is still a card, so we need to weigh this card against that one (and the possibility of running both, however unlikely that seems).

As far as I know Origins is pre-Shard convergence.

Elves seem pretty pushed too. Not sure if Zombies and Goblins are meant to be themes in this set, are they?
Hope this is sarcasm
