Why yes, I would love another addition to my Bant Feather Fort EDH deck! Seriously, I love this card to death. If it weren't for Bolt, I could play this in Modern as well!
For those asking why hasn't this card been in Theros, check the development teams:
Theros: Mark Rosewater (lead), Ethan Fleischer, Ken Nagle,
Zac Hill,
Jenna Helland
Born of the Gods: Ken Nagle (lead) Ethan Fleischer
Billy Moreno Mark Rosewater
Ryan Spain
Journey into Nyx: Ethan Fleischer (lead)
Dan Emmons
Erik Lauer Mark Rosewater
Matt Tabak
Now compare it to Magic Origins:
Shawn Main (lead)
Mark Gottlieb
Ari Levitch
Nik Davidson
Ian Duke
Nobody from Theros designed this set and did a way better job. Because they know how to design a good set!
Not only that. The feedback we gave them when Theros was released probably gave them a huge shock.
Remember that Shawn Main wrote about M16 was already in the works (halfway) with Villains in mind, and then Origins came. They probably saw the opportunity to right the wrongs from Theros. Theros was wrongfully sold to us as an enchantment set; people felt ripped off. The last thing you want to do is anger your hardened supporters. And Magic has a lot of enshrined players.
This "coreset" has to be the most complex to date. Check the average word count from Spell Mastery and Renown, not to mention Menace and Prowess. Those are pretty lengthy.

Well, Theros was an enchantment set, it just never turned into a enchantment matters set until JOU and even then the enchantment matters cards were generally 1 mana too much.
Anyway, now to start brewing for GP London and gameday
so many cards that needed to be in theros is getting released in origins. now that i said that, this card would also find a nice home in EDH's that are enchantment themed.
It's almost like as If Wizards wants me to rebuild my Uril, the Miststalker EDH deck yet it's still going to be a pain in the butt for me to get a hold of another Sensei's Divining Top since it shot up to $30 recently with no available copies at my locals.

But if they were afraid of a degenerate Standard, they could have just said so. Rosewater didn't have to lecture us (literally, as in a whole Drive to Work thing) about how doing an enchantment block doesn't necessarily, and probably shouldn't, involve cards that look like this one or like Starfield of Nyx.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not watching.
I agree the less safe the design the more tremendous it becomes. CMON WOTC take some chances and give us something spectacular again. They doing some good work with this set. I hope it continues.

I think Mark is right.
A good thing about a magic set is that you need cards from multiple sets that still combine well.
If a block would just be "enchantment set" (while Theros was much more "aura" focused to support its heroic mechanic) and would have ALL the good interactions and synergy it would become parasitic and overall a more boring experience.
Its way better to have a set like Theros with actual cards that do a totally well job and then print cards later that combine well with them, so players can actual re-use the cards and build new decks, instead of the 1 deck they had from the start and nothing new is worth including.
Magic Origins has Gideon, which is from Theros, so its understandable why "Theros" cards are included in this set.
Also, if this card would have been in Theros theres quite a chance that it would have been an enchantment creature and its "gain 1 life" part kinda makes it too similiar to the Courser of Kruphix, which is also a point to include just 1 of them.
Theros was also much more "aura" focused than enchantment focused, with its heroic mechanic it wanted targets. Thats why we got Hero of Iroas which is fairly "similiar" to this green guy, but fits better if your set is "aura" focused.
So theres good reason why this was not in Theros and very likely "saved" for later, simply because we have Courser of Kruphix and Hero of Iroas.
Am I the only one here who thinks this should have been white since white is suppose to love enchantments more than green does? Guess this plus Hero of Iroas would have made bestow too good. Though I don't see how since neither are enchantments themselves.

Herald of the Pantheon/Hero of Iroas bestow beatdown deck? This card seems pretty solid. As some of you said, BG Constellation might come back for a last swing.

I literally just wrote to MaRo today telling him how amazing this set is because it isn't *safe*
It's fun, It's got stuff for all the psychographics, but especially Johnny/Jenny who often gets short-changed.
It reminds me of the older days of Magic when crazy cards abound (ed more frequently than they do now).
Love.It.

Reanimate sucks cause it needs cards like Entomb to work.
Since you still cast it, you get the cost reduction.

It's seriously a lot of enchantments for one set. And this set dedicates to 10 different planes. Which therefore makes Theros look like a scam.
