If Wizards actually paid for artists who hand painted art instead of clicked and pointed it, it would look better. there is a life quality to painted art. you are hard pressed to get that with computer graphics.

RIP Batman guy. I hope somebody picks up the slack now that you are gone. Sick children need their Batman.
I can't believe the amount of hate that's coming at this card right now. It's an uncommon enchantment that is really good in token decks, small aggro decks, elves, and all sorts of decks. This card is really cool for an uncommon enchantment. There are certainly worse enchantments we could have seen in its place.
Love it! I love green draw, the art is relevant, and it's even better than the old favorite - and at uncommon! I'll definitely be stashing up on these!
At three mana it is kind of slow. This is the kind of card you want early as possible to get as much advantage out of as possible. You can't really play it on exactly turn three though because turn three is the point in the game where people are fighting over tempo, and this card puts you firmly behind in the tempo race. You can't really reduce the cost though, since this effect would be absurd on a two mana enchantment.

Lycanthropy Awareness Day.
Hoping for a cure, or at least an outbreak.
This seems extremely powerful with token producers. Not sure how much play it will see but a weenie decks will love this. As for the art I kind of agree with digital art being worse than hand painted art. Mostly that is because they focus too much on realism in a lot of digital art. In that way it becomes bad photography. It is fine when they don't try to push realism too far. Tezzeret's Gambit strikes me as card than looks great yet was done digitally.
Several people comparing to Temur Ascendancy. While I do not think this will see play, using Temur Ascendancy to prove the point isn't very good considering that Ascendancy can be hard to cast t3 even if you are in the colors, while this can go in many more decks. This also has the VERY important advantage of only requiring 3 power, not 4, which allows it to trigger on Deathmist (as well as other stuff, but mostly Deathmist).
I think that the fact that this wants a heavy creature deck (meaning a proactive deck that wants to attack), and doing nothing the turn it comes in, then probably only cantripping the turn after, means this is not going to cut it. It needs to survive two turns to be a Divination in a creature heavy deck (which would never play Divination). Better than Ascendancy is not the same as playable.
I think it will be great with Deathmist Raptor and Den Protector. Get a card back from the grave and get a raptor onto the battlefield and draw a card... If there's more than 1 raptor, draw more than 1 card...
Maybe if you have a 1-drop mana elf so you can play it on turn two? As others have said, dropping this and doing nothing on turn 3 seems a bit dangerous.
Because it's both terrible and generic? The type of art that is becoming distressingly more common in the game. A real shame as the art is a huge selling point to me.
Agreed. And is it just me, or does this set take a huge leap in the wrong direction? I think the spoiled cards so far look particularly plastic-like.

When I hit my 3000 post mark, I'm gone for good.

Wow, I guess Kavu Lair has been replaced. This is certainly playable in many green EDH decks, and I have to think it makes some appearances in constructed as well.
Pretty sure Wizards realizes it replaces it since it has a Kavu in the art just like in Kavu Lair.
Kavus are carnivorous reptiles and their most prominent feature is usually their jaw. They're also mostly dominarian.
Considering the name of the card and the... rocky quality of the creature, this is certainly an elemental.
I assumed it was a Kavu due to how much the creature in the art looks like the creature in Kavu Lair.

Oh god, the art-inquisition is out in force again! They think magic cards should be like a walk through the Louvre. They hate on artwork, simply because it was made with the assistance of a PC.
I wish you guys could see how hyperbole this bashing of a perfectly fine pictures comes across.
No, this artwork is not the Mona Lisa, but it illustrates what the card is supposed to do good. So please just stop the complaining. I also don't complain about more artwork from Therese Nielsen or the like, because I know there are people that like that style and Magic is big enough to support more than just one art-taste.

Don't act like you don't know what they're talking about. No one is complaining that it was made "with the assistance of a PC". Almost 90% of card art nowadays is made with a computer at least being involved in the process and I think everyone knows that. However, there is a difference "computer" art like on Elvish Visionary, Seismic Elemental or Separatist Voidmage and art like on Elemental Bond or Valor in Akros. To some people, the latter arts just look too sharp, too clean, too stiff and too sterile.

I agree on the art: pretty much everything I dislike about the current direction of MTG art.
Sadly, utility usually trumps aesthetics in deck building.
UTeferi, Temporal ArchmageU's prison: blue is the new orange is the new black.
Mizzix Of The Izmagnus : wheels on fire... rolling down the road...
BSidisi, Undead VizierB: Bis zum Erbrechen
GTitiania, Protector Of ArgothG: Protecting Argoth, by blowing it up!
GYisan, The Wanderer BardG: Gradus Ad Elfball.
Duel EDH: Yisan & Titania.
In Progress: Grand Arbiter Augustin IV duel; Grenzo, Dungeon Warden Doomsday.
Well I'm thinking more EDH, but it goes ape***** with Elvish Archdruid x2 as well. Not exactly infinite but close enough probably.
UW Ephara Hatebears [Primer], GB Gitrog Lands, BRU Inalla Combo-Control, URG Maelstrom Wanderer Landfall
Dunes of Zairo
SHANDALAR
Innistrad - The Darkest Night
~THE RAVNICAN CONSORTIUM~
A Community Set
Commander: Allies & Adversaries
Oh yeah, the effect is cool too. Won't see Standard. Plenty of EDH though.
UBRGrixis Kiki Control
BGUSultai Shadow
GWRBushwhacker Zoo
EDH:
BGU Sidisi, Brood Tyrant
UBR Marchesa, the Black Rose
GWU Roon of the Hidden Realm
Without seeing what else is in the set, I hardly think you can say this won't see standard. It at this moment has a chance.

But I agree the art is rather less than exciting.

Oh stop it you fanboy, we all know, Magic artwork was at its height when we had neonazis produce Magic artwork.
Sarcasm aside, I bet half of these people wouldn't even be able to tell a computer "generated" artwork apart from a painted one from the same artist.
