Well, in case anyone cares, these are the unblurry arts on this card by Eric. And another art that I love now too.
As far as I can find, this art was unknown before today. Coupled with the card name and this seems like very strong evidence supporting this card being real.
Can you flip her in your opponents combat step? She "just" needs to deal 3Damage e.g. Block and tap for 1Dmg. Is she even dying, if the blocked creature has 2 or greater power?
Anyway: Don't like her. Liliana is my fav at the moment. (Being a great Tiny Leader)
Chandra has to have dealt 3 damage when the ping ability resolves, you could, for example, cast Brute force on her and attack, she'll deal 5 damage but will not transform until you activate that tap ability.
If you block with her and she survives the block after dealing damage and you tap her to activate that ping ability, then sure, she transforms.
If she blocks anything with power 2 or great she'll be on your graveyard long before you have even the chance of activating the ping ability in a situation she'd transform.

The templating is still a little weird. If her transform ability is linked to her ping ability, shouldn't it say, "...then, if Chandra has dealt 3 damage this turn..."? As its written, its sort of unclear its linked to the ping ability.

Well then. I've been misreading that line this entire time and suddenly that ping trigger feels a lot less arbitrary. Yeah, I can believe this is a thing now.

it's not unclear at all...
it's part of resolution of that ability. Crystal clear.
if it wasn't, the card would have another Paragraph saying "Whenever ~ deals damage, if the total damage dealt this turn was 3 or more, [...]" or something like this.

I don't think its as obvious as you think it is. This card is being discussed in lots of places and there are lots of people who don't understand the functionality of this card as written. I think you'd typically see the word "then" in between the two sentences to let you know it was part of the same ability.
Feldon is a mono-red artificer, and as a "core" set there is usually not multicolor. But who knows *shrug*
They could also color cross and make one of Chandra's parents straight blue and the other red or something of that sort. I sort of suspect that might be far fetched but it just means that another mentor needs to color cross to balance it.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
Again, given that the card is clearly a low-quality scan of a mock-up, it's possible that someone had the name, art, and general idea of the card, but numbers could still be different if it was tweaked in dev.
Well Chandra Pyromancer was cool (and also good enough to see Modern play) because of her interesting 0 ability. So it's possible for Chandra to do things other than ping.
3 out of four Chandras so far have had an ability doing something other than burning, but all four have had at least one ability dealing with burning.
I think the planeswalker side of this Chandra is very strong. If it was printed as just a 3-mana walker, it'd be a slam-dunk cross-format staple. Think Sulfuric Vortex, but with the ability to remove creatures too.

I think it's better than some are giving credit for (untapping always has potential) and as stated above, if printed at 3-CMC and being able to jump to 6 loyalty; it would be considered a strong walker.
My only question is, after reading the uncharted realms article; can someone explain how the ability mirrors the moment Chandra's spark ignited? Is the "3 pings" suppose to be representative of three people? How does it mirror almost being executed? They had said earlier the cards were meant to mirror the moment of sparks igniting...I'm just not seeing this one easily. Thanks in advance!
I want a rummaging Chandra sort of like Daretti's +2 except only pitching/gaining 1 card instead of 2 to make them different. Her Ultimate could always be Destructive Force or one-sided Wheel of Fortune.

I think it's less about being executed, and more about just using her fire magic a lot, which is represented by the damage she deals. Imminent execution, and the events leading up to it, prompted her to let loose her pyromancy.
Today's Arcana article showed Seal of Fire. Got me thinking: wouldn't it be cool if a Chandra planeswalker didn't ping directly, but instead made Seal of Fire-like enchantment tokens? Might provide a much more interesting and powerful Chandra while still sticking to her theme.

Seems like Chandra's parents will have a card. Looking red/blue to me.

so unplayable
you have to cast like 10 billion spells to make it flip

Not likely, sadly, but possible.

What else do you expect fire to do?
Not really, you just have to cast two (ping, cast first spell, ping, cast second spell, ping). Or you can just cast Tail Slash.
Anyway, the most common way will be attack, shock, ping.
