Aww man, I was really looking forward to finally getting a foil of primal and austere command. Then again, this also means no incendiary command, which is a good thing. Since the leak turned out to be false, one of the white mythics might be linvala, keeper of silence.
I'm SO SICK of the "too strong for Standard" argument. It's the new "Dies to removal". We can have a two mana 4/4 with a zillion abilities, but we can't just have Accumulated Knowledge. Makes sense.
I also agree that with the leak "deconfirmed," I expect Linvala instead of Iona
(though I don't know which Modern decks use her other than the now defunct Pod).

This is a bit disappointing. I was really hoping to see Primal Command reprinted. Well, I guess I'll just have to suck it up and buy a playset soon, in case prices go up on it...
Profane Command was JUST reprinted. Austere Command is a huge Commander staple that has crept back up in price. Definitely would have prefered Austere over Profane, even though Profane Command is pretty awesome.
If we can get something like Izzet Chronarch/Eternal Witness, Profane Command will be nuts. It's surely more powerful than Cryptic in limited, though some may disagree with me.

Cryptic is *absurd* in Limited, due to that "tap all creatures you don't control" mode.
If you are ahead or at stalled board parity that mode wins you the game on the spot. If you are a little behind or at parity on an uncluttered board, Cryptic is a reasonable card-neutral tempo spell (Counter your 6 drop, bounce your 5 drop) that is weaker than premier removal but still good. Even massively behind it can be a Fog that does more, which will sometimes be good.
Cryptic doesn't look it but it is a bona fide bomb. If card ownership isn't a factor in your pick (e.g. the rares being opened are the prizes in a draft), it's hard to know whether you'd take Lightning Bolt or Cryptic pick 1 pack 1, and there's not many rares better than the Bolt.
