Nice!
And apparently, Splinter Twin is not mythic.
A reason to rule out all the controversial list?
I find it hard to believe the leak anymore considering the rarity bump on Splinter Twin was one of the more interesting points about it. I can't imagine the leaker made a mistake and didn't notice it.
Splinter Twin not as Mythic is great news. I need to purchase 2 more, and I was concerned that the Mythic printing would warp the prices upwards even higher.
And Spellskite. What a great card. Everybody should be happy that this little guy got a reprint.
Its nice to see twin at rare. I don't know what to think of that in relation to our earlier supposed spoils but I guess it does a good job at pushing up the expected value in the rare slot. Even at rare it seems like it would still be challenging to build around twin in draft. If you pull it early you can do it but its still unlikely that you get more than one copy in the deck to work with.
Spellskite seems like a great draft card as you can take it and not commit to any colors. If you pull it later its still a viable pick up regardless of what colors you are in.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
I don't think you need to build around it necessarily, splinter twin gets occasionally played on snapcaster for the ebt in the namesake modern deck that uses it to combo-win.
All you need to make it a solid draftable card is serum visions at common (which HAS to be in there), a deathtoucher of any variety, a few cool ebts, and exarch at common--all of which are fairly likely.
I wonder if they might leave out deceiver exarch from MM2 specifically to keep the combo out of draft. When's the last time they let a 2-card "respond or I win" combo through to limited?

Close, but you'd need a third card to put the first counter on. Admittedly, those are plentiful in FRF/DTK, but you still need something else to get underway.

Also Modern Masters 1 had the other 2 cards from the combo in it. That was at mythic and common. I expect this to be at rare and uncommon. Not sure how that will impact it happening. Also don't see the need to hate draft as much as just take removal to get the 2 for 1.

After drafting Twin in cube it's reasonable in limited, even with only one copy. It plays out more as an inevitable finisher for a UR counter-burn deck rather than a straight up turn 4 combo kill.
Also, these are some excellent spoilers.

Of course you could also translate the sudden start of spoilers for MM2 with no herald from Wizards as a sign that, while the rarity might not be spot on (or possibly changed at a later date), the contents might be.
Both are cards that I'm glad to see in this set, and both are cornerstones of the format that would be weird omissions. I approve. And I still think the leak could be real, see it as likely even, but I'm not confident. I think Iona is a VERY weird card to put in MM with Vault:Angels around the corner.

The issue with twin at rare is not for potential twin decks to be better, it is that they will show up more often hence change pick orders and all.
Twin at rare means twin shows up once every three drafts, which is quite often. Often enough for it to be a concern facing any UR deck, as presumably 1/3 of these decks would have the combo. Later on, that should push players to high-pick deceiver exarch because they prefer to have an inconsistent deck rather than having to play around such a combo in limited. And there will be those guys in sealed events with decks with 2 Splinter Twins and 3 exarchs plus permission spells that are going to be just unbeatable.
I'm failing to see the 'issue' here. There will be potential for 1 person to draft the twin archetype per 24 drafters. That's assuming
A) people pick this rare with the intention of drafting the deck pack 1 (for best results)
B) The deck comes together at all
C) No one is fighting over the archetype (2 people first pick twin, but fight over any exarches there may be)
D) No one rare drafts the expensive card and moves into something else out of archetype.
E) There is in fact enablers to the combo at a rarity that makes this a feasible archetype (so far not proven)

The rest of your post is basically unreadable, or you're trying to explain two different thoughts, so I'll ignore it except to say, if someone gets lucky enough to double rare draft the same rare and put together what ends up being a budget twin deck--good for them, they deserve it. Its still a fragile combo made of bad creatures and an aura that dies to removal.
Hmmm... dunno how to feel.
I'm glad ST is rare instead of mythic,
as it's one of the only "money" cards I don't own at all.
Oddly, of the "leaked" Mythics, the only ones I have no copies of
are Tarmogoyf, Bob, and the two that were supposedly "upshifted" (ST and Fulminator Mage).
I even have pack foils of all three Eldrazi Titans, Iona, Elesh Norn, and more.
I suppose that's a decent reason to want a different list of mythics,
but the "leaked" list was very appealing nonetheless.
