The command is certainly interesting. Getting a Pit Fight with a +1/+1 counter is *really* strong for just two mana, and will definitely result in a lot of "My Rhino/Tasigur/Polukranos eats yours and bashes" situations. The first mode is really situational, but the second provides a good out to Jeskai Ascendancy and Temur Ascendancy that has flexibility of other modes, and you can get a 2-for-1 pretty easily with modes 2 and 4.
Pretty sure it's a shoe-in for certain modern decks, some of which already run fight spells, and it's obvious insurance against burn. All I'm not sure about is whether it's as good as Atarka's Command.
The lack of land reveal is indeed weird.I guess they are too ashamed to reveal them, tough they made special previews to those sucky megamorph dragons so no idea that is going in their minds
The fact that the set has 15 basics rather than 10 rules out a nonbasic land cycle.
Well guess I will buy one box of this and that is it. Good thing I can get free boxes from Judging events.

Yea nothing special. Ill stick with Full arts or snow when needed.
Yea only getting 2 boxes for EDH purposes, even then I feel like I shouldn't. Good stuff at uncommon for standard and a few rares/mythics here and there.
So they were just trolling us at PAX about the land in this set, eh?
You could call it trolling, or you could call it being forced to say nothing definite about literally anything until they were allowed by their superiors.
There'd really better be a few, "By the way, here are some other cards we had yet to spoil. They're amazing" rares left or else I don't even know what's that great in this set. No land cycle? Underwhelming dragon lords? Disappointing command cycle (unless you're interested in RG decks)? Is there something I'm not seeing that's great about this set? Because I'm really close to cancelling my preorder.
I know they don't usually design with Modern in mind, but it's hard to imagine this Dromoka's Command wasn't aimed specifically at common cards in the format.
Allied pain lands probably in Origins, then enemy fetches in Battle for Zendikar. Seems pretty straight forward to me. I didn't think any special lands would be in DTK, especially after announcing BFZ.

Not as far as I can see. This set looks really disappointing so far.
That command is everything I was hoping for. Honestly, it might even still be playable if only let you pick one of the four option.
A spell that can be enchantment removal AND creature removal (or one or the other plus another benefit), as a 2 CMC instant? How is that not amazing? Only downside is it can't get rid of Stormbreath Dragon (a recurring problem with many removal spells).

Man black got the mythic shaft. I'm thoroughly surpised the last mythic isnt black. I assumed that multicolored mythics took the spot of a monocolor mythic. Is that how WOTC usually does it? Or did I just make that up in my own mind? This is how I figured it:

I really like the dragon themed lands
Pioneer:UR Pheonix
Modern:U Mono U Tron
EDH
GB Glissa, the traitor: Army of Cans
UW Dragonlord Ojutai: Dragonlord NOjutai
UWGDerevi, Empyrial Tactician "you cannot fight the storm"
R Zirilan of the claw. The solution to every problem is dragons
UB Etrata, the Silencer Cloning assassination
Peasant cube: Cards I own
That clone army though... (makes me happy inside)
Atarka's Command for RG
Kolaghan's Command for 1BR
Ojutai's Command for 2WU
Silumgar's Command for 3UB
I'm REALLY happy that Dromoka's Command doesn't cost 4GW

Daretti
Ezuri
Captain Sisay (In work)
Round would be insane in multiplayer...in 1v1would also keep your attack open since it would steal anything played the next turn
To me the Commands were big expensive sorceries (Cryptic being the exception), not piddly little instants.
They feel more like Charms to me.
Mode 1: "Counter" target Lightning Bolt/other burn spell.
Mode 2: Target player sacrifices Splinter Twin.
Modes 3/4: Break open a Tarmogoyf/Siege Rhino/Tasigur stalemate.
That's how I read the card, anyway.
UR ....... WUBR ........... WB ............. RGW ........ UBR ....... WUB .... BGU
Spells / Blink & Combo / Token Grind / Dino Tribal / Draw Cards / Zombies / Reanimate
Not as far as I can see. This set looks really disappointing so far.

Only if you target two different creatures, targeting the same one multiple times will only net you one heroic trigger.
How could I forget about Bogles!? Plus countering a bolt and taking out an Eidolon makes this even more appealing against burn than I realized.
White: Ojutai exemplars narset transcendent
Blue: shorecrasher elemental, sarkhan unbroken
Black: risen executioner , unknown mythic
Red: descent of the dragons, dragon whisperer
Green: deathmist raptor, shaman of the forgotten ways
But I guess I was wrong.
Does the full spoiler go up Monday?
