So its Dungeon Geists with and extra power and an extra clause that makes it harder to kill, for an extra mana. Not bad. Will definitely be good in limited. In constructed, I might see it as a one of in the top end of blue aggro is that ever picks up.

Take a mechanic from the pre-mirrodin era, and a mechanic after the mirrodin era, and create a card that flavorfully melds both mechanics.
Oh, sweet, we found the last booster pack-featured art. I like Frost Dragon, personally. Not quite as good as Thunderbreak (or at least, less my style), but still pretty good.

This is what I've always wanted out of a ice type dragon ever since we got Rimescale Dragon, but that card was garbage. This is going to look awesome in foil.
Against an Aggro deck this makes Lightning Strike cost 4 which seems pretty good while also tapping a guy for a turn. 6 mana and you have Stubborn Denial which sounds reallllyyyy nice. maybe a RU dragons midrange/control deck.
Takes away their most relevant creature on board, has built-in protection, and has evasion (of course). In a world of big fatties flying around and clogging up the ground, this is a pretty good card.
Wizards print good rares, players complain about cash grab. They print underwhelming rares, players complain that the cards suck. They spoil the best cards first, players complain about the insane prices of preorders. They spoil the meh cards first, players complain that this is the worst set ever.
So. I think I understand now.
As far as these forums are concerned, WotC can never do anything good because:
Card that is new and probably good = "pushed"
Card that is new and probably bad = "EDH/casual fodder"
Card that is a reprint = "lazy"
Card that is a better version of an older card = "power creep"
Card that is a weaker version of an older card = "worthless"
Its a pretty minor variation on frost titan, a remix of its two abilities on a smaller cheaper flying body, doesn't seem old enough to be redone already
Great card. Get's rid of the biggest threat while being a solid beater and the opponent can't deal with it without spending ~same amount of mana so you can't really fall behind in tempo even if the opponent does have removal.
Th cheapest way in standard to kill it is 3, or 1 depending on how the pay more interacts with delve. But yeah, massive tempo game. Good in UW midranged.
I've been really disappointed with the power level of the dragons in this set. We can have a set about dragons ruling and they are all worse than one from Theros block. Come on.
Does everybody remember Tidebinder Mage? All you have to do is kill it to untap your creature, yeah that happened all the time... not.
But still it does seem costed high at 5. You can't have a 5 drop format, c'mon Wizards do you even curve or do you say "that looks good, put it in the 5 drop bin".
This is quite a solid card. At first glance it seems kind of boring but this has the potential to do work. Five mana isn't asking too much for a hard to remove threat + soft removal.

This card is a bit worse than the Geists but should put up results in Standard.
Controlling? Seems like the top end of tempo to me.
